Job responsibilities, title, and advertised information very different right out of the gate. Red flag. The mission was exciting and at first, it felt like it was going to be the best job ever, utilizing all of my skills and long experience while allowing work life integration. There are so many talented frontline staff, dedicated and helpful ancillary clinical teams, and a few regional managers with wonderful leadership skills, but they were still hampered by unclear direction from senior leadership and barely had a cursory understanding of the job responsibilities. These individuals were rare and depended on the region.

From the top down, there is deep dysfunction: inability to forecast business outcomes so instead constantly rolling out new processes and platforms with single training session and then no tolerance for a learning curve. Frequent software changes for employee monitoring which breeds staff anxiety, resentment, and mutual distrust. Micromanagement is an understatement. Public gaslighting, self-adulation, ghosting, backstabbing, and reluctance to give or share praise. HR is merely a token presence for issues. From regional managers on up, there is poor authenticity and transparency, disconnection from the daily frontline procedures, and inconsistent processes and knowledge between teams. They enforce extremely unrealistic patient caseloads, expect cold-calling providers. A typical week included heavy number of calls per day, dealing with cumbersome documentation platform, providing education, and referral processes with frequent system outages and slow downs, while still trying to find time to reach - preferably, travel to - over a dozen providers per week to onboard, educate, alert, problem-solve and document using aging and often incorrect data. Little time for breaks or self-education (plenty of material thanks to some really smart clinicians). My mental health and wellbeing was suffering. Meeting metrics and ensuring profitability and growth are necessary for any business, and the best of them encourage creative cross-functional workgroups that include frontline staff to drive solutions. It felt like leadership was throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what would stick which just leads to chaos and employee attrition. Despite being a fast-growing company, it's no longer new, and leadership and investors should have realized by now, after all the costly turnover and negative reviews, that the best way to promote great care navigation and network relationships is to start with your biggest capital resource: your staff.

Typical day at work consists of many last minute emergencies that pop up that need to be handled right away. Wouldn’t be much of a problem if the emergencies made sense but they often don’t. Typical day at work consists of random initiatives being rolled out with no clear vision, in fact with many flaws. 
Some management especially HR has no problem with making it clear that they don’t care about you. Others are nice enough to at least act like they care. Act like they are happy to hear your concerns. But they will be the first people to turn around next day and task you out with the exact tasks and concerns you spoke up about. 
Without naming people, HR is awful. Nothing but negative experience in conversing with them. Many internal people share the same thought but have no one to voice that to that has the pull to do anything. Some say the problem starts there but I think it’s just all of management currently.
Entry/mid level employees wind up doing multiple jobs instead of the one they are hired for which is what makes people want to leave. 
 If there’s one systemic problem or one takeaway you should be aware of — it’s that management thinks they can pull the wool over your eyes. Over the eyes of (to their surprise) very smart employees. Which is, and going to continue to, push people out the door.
Reviews online are deceiving because many people used to think this was a great company to work at which I’m sure it was. Their recent restructure early 2024 was their downfall. Any positive spotlight online like LinkedIn is very deceiving and fake. I would not recommend this company to anyone I cared about.

Hybrid remote position that should have allowed work/life balance. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Toxic work environment, dysfunctional electronic medical record systems containing inaccurate information, unrealistic performance expectations, and a lack of clear direction. Provider onboarding is disorganized and inefficient, with incorrect data leading to confusion and even travel to the wrong office locations. Overall, the process is wasteful and poorly managed.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
This role functions as three positions in one. While the salary is attractive for recruitment purposes, the reality after training is overwhelming. Providers are placed into high-demand situations with little support. There is no control over one’s own schedule, as another team manages call scheduling. The position requires being on the phone continuously throughout the day, without flexibility to step away from the desk. Patient census numbers are extremely high, and multiple workflows are inefficient and poorly designed. HR doesn’t exist. MICRO managers. 
When you resign they cut off your health benefits that day leaving your family without insurance. Most professional companies allow the insurance to run until the end of the month.

Chaos, trying to hunt down patients doctor for alerts and the data is all wrong. Cold calling.

This healthcare organization exhibits a range of concerning issues that significantly impact its work environment and potentially its quality of care. The company structure appears top-heavy, with an excess of upper management leading to inefficiencies and communication breakdowns. A pervasive culture of micromanagement stifles the autonomy and job satisfaction of skilled professionals, particularly nurses. The lack of clear organizational direction leaves employees feeling unfocused and unmotivated. Alarmingly, nurses are often asked to perform tasks without proper policy support, creating both legal and ethical risks. The company is driven primarily by sales and financial metrics. Career growth opportunities are limited, with a noticeable lack of internal promotions. Instead, the organization consistently hires external managers who often perpetuate the micromanagement problem and may struggle to understand the company's internal dynamics. This combination of factors creates a problematic work environment. Overall, the organization appears to prioritize short-term financial gains over long-term stability and quality, which could have serious implications for employees.

Healthmap Solutions is a growing Company in the field of Kidney Health Management. I have been working, remotely for Healthmap Solutions as a Telephonic Nurse Case Manager for a year. I typically begin making calls to insurance members with chronic kidney disease at 9am, after reviewing member's charts. I speak to 4-8 members per day to help them navigate all of their health needs regarding CKD. I can honestly say that I enjoy this job and this is one of the best companies I have ever had the pleasure of working for. Management works hard to include all of the clinical staff in any of the changes being made and encourages and welcomes any new suggestions. The hardest part of the job is keeping up with all the changes taking place with a growing company, but the good communication and teamwork between all levels of care, helps to stay informed and organized. The working environment is usually relaxed, educational and understanding. The Management team really works hard to foster teamwork, kindness and respect on all levels of care. 

I've been with the company for a year and a half. The maximum merit raise was 50 cents. Benefits are practically unaffordable and not much to offer. The level of micromanagement by UPPER management is unbearable. If you get sick, expect for your work to be piled up and then they will ask why you are out of compliance. The metrics are unrealistic when you call the same people over and over. Company promised a quarterly bonus and then took it away for "restructuring." They don't offer incentives for people who are bilingual, so double the work. Poor communication. Most members decline the program but if the engagement specialist marks them as a decline it has a negative impact on metrics and end of year raise. Not enough RNs and hardly any available to take a transfer when a member consents to the program. No room for growth. Some of the IT staff are rude. If you have any issues, they will tell you its your connection so they can go on with their day. Only positives about this position is that it is remote and my direct supervisor is great. Also, expect to be working when a hurricane 🌀 hits. If you have to evacuate, you'll be forced to use your PTO. 

This place is a horrible place to work at. I started off as a Customer Service representative and was then changed to Member Engagement specialist inbound with very little training. It was overwhelming to take calls with hardly any proper training. My salary did not changed at all i still get paid as a regular CSA and there are no compensation or incentives for bilingual employees. Your better off not letting this employer you speak another language other wise you do double the work getting paid like if you only spoke one language…If you work here just know your job description will change constantly and if you do not complete task at the unrealistic time your given your being harassed by management and team leaders to why your not meeting there unrealistic expectations and placed on training… its very overwhelming to work here to much micromanaging and leaderships are unorganized in setting up team meetings. 

The only good thing about working here is it’s remotely and a Monday- Friday position…. Other than that its pretty miserable waking up everyday to come to work… 

The most unprofessional chaos I have ever experienced. No clear description of what you are responsible for. The management team lack skills to lead or even help to achieve goals and they are aware. Unrealistic goals placed on employees. Promotion based on your ability to suck up or do others work with a shut mouth. Often promoted individuals lack skill or knowledge to do job. Very minimal advancement available. human resources is horrible if you have a question don't worry about asking it will go in a circle or get dismissed. No type of policy in place for anything or even the basic knowledge of Healthcare. No real compassion for staff or clients. Upper leadership out and out lies and make very inappropriate comments to staff in emails and often speak as if they are running a daycare instead of a workplace. The micromanagement is on the worst level I have ever seen. Turn over rate is very high. I would not recommend this company to anyone my advise would be RUN! STAY UNEMPLOYED OR GO WITH your other option!

The organization is ethically challenged and completely unorganized. Healthmap Solutions lacks the knowledge base, expertise, and skills required to effectively manage the patient population for the disease process they specialize in. Many of their practices were fraudulent. Leadership lacked accountability, experience,
and expertise as it relates to industry standards and CMS regulations. Much of the foundational data used to build their analytical framework was developed using antiquated code sets and generic information taken directly from Google search menus. Leadership lacked ethics, morals, and integrity. I resigned.

The environment was stressful. The culture was constant blame shifting and side stepping accountability.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lured in with false promises and decent pay. Job responsibilities changed frequently as did the staff. People were there one day and gone the next with no explanation (either quit, fired, or laid off). Multiple layoffs throughout year.  Management is clueless to the day to day challenges and only focused on growth. You cant speak up or you'll have a target on your back. Those that are left have families to feed so they quietly submiss to the nonsense.  The company knows this and takes full advantage of this.  If you like checking boxes, having unrealistic metrics, sharing incorrect data with providers, and having a stepford wives head nodding approach, this might be your gig.  If you have an ounce of morals and decency, you need to stay far away.
