The owner believes no structure and running chaoticly is how the business should grow. Most leadership positions have not been back filled in the year and existing managers are being forced to be technicians to cut cost which has lead to a very toxic work culture. The team is forced to accept doing work against best practices because the solution was sold cheaply to get the sale.  Employees are treated as easily replaceable and given raises at time of notice for other job offers, instead of raising salary to industry standards and giving raises as rewards to encourage good work before they start looking to leave. Almost weekly company happy hours encourage a drinking heavy culture with hard liquor, wine and beer provided by the company. A large volume of IT staff has left due to the toxicity culture,  lack if leadership and feeling like a cog in the wheel.

If you ever wanted to work at a place where you do the jobs of like 3 people with while being underpaid for doing your original job this is the place for you. We do not adequately staff the departments that do actual work, only sales. Some areas currently have 0 staff such as telephony, reception,  and networking because the owner refused to improve the working conditions or provide incentives to stay, or even adequately back fill positions. You have to use your personal vehicle for travel To clients, use your personal cellphone for work related calls, and of course are expected to live the “24/7” hig lifestyle. Their is no incentive to being on call but it will be required of you and you will constantly be expected to do things way above your pay grade.  All in all you will be underpaid to work in a disorganized and understaffed company run by an idiot prone to temper tantrums

From am IT perspective, Higher Information Group is a great place to gather experience for a better opportunity. That is because they will require you to do things way outside of your job description. The pay will be horrible and unless you love to drink there will be no rewards outside partying and strip clubs. People have worked for this company all of their life only to be fired for yes men. They say sales gets treated like gold at the company but honestly they have it just as bad. The structure is horrible and management is lacking severely. The owner is great at obtaining companies but he manages them poorly.

It was a great job and great people.  I found out as a new tech I was the most paid out of the older techs.  I found this highly wrong and odd and was told "pump the breaks on my wage".  That aggravated me as I had trusted my manager.  I discussed what was said to me to the other employees.  Someone told on me about it and the next day I was fired.  I found the wage gap between me and the rest for the same role and work was highly wrong and needed to be dealt with.  NYS is an at will state so you can be fired for anything.  

Easy job, but set up for failure, could be a dream job if you are willing to deal with pompous person who is a GM. Got to job in company vehicle and was dispatched to troubleshoot on printer machines. I learned alot about the insides of a large printer. But I also learned not to trust anyone in a large company.

I enjoyed working for this company. The pay was not very competitive, but the work environment was good and the management were very friendly. Overall I believe this is a good place to work if you have a few years experience in the field.

Troubleshoot and repair  a large variety of office equipment which includes full line of  Toshiba copiers,  Oce’ wide format, mailing machines and printers.
* Troubleshoot and repair customer networking issues related to the office equipment.
*  Instruct customers how to operate equipment to shorten machine downtime.

There is a lot of work to be done to make all employees feel worth.  There are a couple that they feel are prefect and you can’t upset that Apple cart. They need a lot in helping learn as well; like training and documentation.

Company will be ran better if they upgraded their machines and had a full time maintenance person to fix the machines and the machines and if the communication between manager and employee was just a little bit better and not pushing other jobs and and product on other associates overall it's a good company
