I was hired on May 16th, 2025, with the understanding that I would be brought on as a full-time employee. During the interview, I was told that full-time hours would be available shortly after they found a client match for me. However, I didn’t receive my first client assignment until June 8th — nearly a month later.

Even once I was placed, I was only scheduled for 8 hours per week for the next three weeks. It’s been incredibly difficult financially, especially after starting with the company in mid-May under the impression that full-time hours were just around the corner.

Eventually, I was told I’d be assigned to two clients and would begin working two 10-hour days each week. I was hopeful and relieved — but unfortunately, this fell through due to a lack of clear leadership and coordination.

At this point, I’m honestly heartbroken and deeply disappointed. After learning how much clients are charged for 24-hour care, it became even harder to understand how so little support was available for employees like myself.

Please, if you are considering working here, be sure you’re in a financial position to absorb unpredictable hours and unclear scheduling. It’s unsettling to see how difficult it is for a smaller branch to organize its staff and retain good workers. I truly wanted to grow with this company, but the level of disorganization and lack of follow-through has left me speechless.

I share this not out of bitterness, but in hopes that others can go in informed. We deserve to work for companies that value both their clients and their caregivers.

Each client is different. I've had client's just ask for basics, vacuum, walk my dog, talk to me over coffee.  I've had client's on their death bed who should've been in Hospice care NOT with unlicensed caregivers. And I has client's who were looking for maids and/or professional organizers and cleaners to clear their homes of years worth of a life and family occupation.  One even had me moving bags of mulch in the middle of summer, then told me they had a landscaper.

Some shifts are 4 hours, some are 12 hours depending on the client and their level of need or just want of a caregiver/companion. 

There is NO workplace culture as some client's only have 1 caregiver. I worked for over a year without seeing another caregiver OR management in person ...


The hardest parts of the job are the isolation, management does NOT reach out other than the silly social media app that just feels like a bad, forced version of Facebook, or to call and ask why you're late.   When my client dropped me the weekend before Thanksgiving, management ghosted me for over 2 weeks, and left me with no paychecks, and said they couldn't find ANY work for me and there is ZERO safety net for caregivers when this happens so you're just outta luck. 

Literally management laughed, then said: " I don't know what you want me to do, I don't have work for you." 

Signed a contract that stated pay would be $20 an hour with a 24 hour guarantee to be on call 24 hours a day on Saturday and Sunday and if I worked during the week they would pay $18. After payday I’m told that the 24 hour guarantee is being fulfilled by the extra shifts I take during the week at $18 an hour yet I’m still required to be available all weekend. Then after working there a month I’m also told that in the next few weeks they are changing the guarantee to 15 hours. So nothing is clear or set. Everything seems to be unclear and ever changing pay/hours/duties. It would be nice if they would have a concise plan and pay rate and make things very clear.

You are also told that you do light housekeeping and do nothing on the exterior of the house but the clients seem to be told that you are their housekeeper that also cooks and helps with showering and dressing if needed and can get special approval to have you help with some yard work. There doesn’t seem to be any clarity on anything at all all the way from the top down with clients or caregivers.

The clients are so amazing and the scheduler and hiring manager are super great to deal with.

The client's if they are not taking away from you. And if you don't want to land up working with a client that you don't want to 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I hate it when they have you scheduled with someone and they land up taking that patient away and then give you to another one I don't like it and if someone else comes in and they do it to them they're not going to like it either and if your schedule with one person you should stay with that person because of their dementia because that makes it more confused

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The company is fine until they hear something and you end up getting in trouble for something that you didn't do that's not the way you run your company and the clients people lie also about you just to get you in trouble

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Company's great but I just don't like the scheduler very much she takes my time away when I'm scheduled with that patient but I don't like that

Extremely cheap company, 0 compensation for mileage, 0 compensation for allowing clients to use your car, advertises paid training but they would rather train you with a video than in person and sitting for orientiation they discount to bare minimum wage. You must agree to letting them charge you for a background check if you dont make it past 90 days despite this practice being completely obliterated by most employers and even the contractor app companies like Uber, Lyft, and Door Dash. 

I wouldn't work nor hire anybody from this company. They want the most desperate and dumb workforce possible. You will spend your money and time on gas and travel from client to client and run the risk of LOSING money! STAY AWAY AND BE WARY!  

I am very fortunate that my scheduler found perfect fit for me.  The job is great and I love my client.  I will say I know many people frown on the limited pay and advancement but that isn't really our company to blame,  it's government priorities.  Insurance priorities. We are all underfunded in the home Healthcare setting and even in nursing facilities.  It's Medicare and Medicaid that needs to change and prioritize it's money. We are only getting bare minimum pay because government bigwigs take it all.

Taking care of the elderly they become family

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Communication is awful, sometimes you will work a 8-hour week and then sometimes you will work a 60 hour week just depends

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
You going to people's homes in a system that's pretty nice like I said they treat you like family it's like sitting with a grandparent

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You never go to the office hardly you just look at your schedule go to your assigned house clock in go and do your duties clock out and go home

When you are hired they make you feel as if you will get all kind of hours.  When you are actually there about a month they start cutting your hours.  They do not schedule you in the same area for home visits.  You will go from one end of the county to the other side for a visit.  They have favorites who get all the hours.  They lie and say a client cancelled to find out one of their favorites got the hours.   It is just a terrible company all around.  I could go on for other ways they screw you.  They DO NOT pay you for all mileage.  They pick and choose what miles they pay you for.

Independence,  free of not having supervisor micro manage

Never able to reach the same person twice

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is in home setting culture of company was uncomfortable and stuffy

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Assisting clients with daily activities they can no longer comfortably or safely do for themselves. Offering companionship to someone that otherwise would not have social interaction . Maintaining clean , clutter free , safe suroundings

I find the work-life balance difficult to achieve if you want 40 hours right out of the gate; however, it's a good "stepping stone" job if you are trying to gain experience for higher levels of care.

The job itself is anxiety-inducing, and I find myself staying up thinking about the well-being of my clients; however, that is to be expected if you ACTUALY want to be a good caregiver IMO. Alot of the issues ive had honestly just comes with the territory. My management is charming and kind, and I can ask a lot of questions. However, I do feel like they really hire just about anybody due to the turn around time they have here. But it all seems reasonable to me given the limitations a non-medical care job can have.
