What is the best part of working at the company?
I honestly feel I'm part of a family here at our Home Instead office and we strive to ensure every Care Professional feels a part of this family.  In the span of 37 years, I've never had a job where I felt eager to get out of bed every morning and get to work.  It's absolutely fufilling to be a part of a team that has one goal in mind:  to better the quality of people's lives.  It makes me feel like I'm finally making a difference in the world.  Thank you!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It's kind of funny, but I honestly can't proclaim I feel any true sense of the word, "stress" while working this job.  Not like at other jobs I've had.  In fact, I enjoy coming to work to get my mind off of the other stressers in my life.  I do get frustrated with minor things here and there like anybody else.  I suppose the rush of urgency I feel while trying to cover a last-minute "call-off" shift in time, is the closest I come to feeling stress, because of all the uncertain things running through my mind in the moment I receive the request to go help.  I'm thinking about the senior waiting for my arrival. Are they safe?  Have they eaten or had anything to drink?  Have they taken their medication yet?  Do they need assistance to the bathroom or with bathing? Do they need my help to drive them to a scheduled  doctor's appointment?  This job is a critical obligation.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
As I said before, we are family. The owners of this company are genuine, and they care about their employees' safety, (both physical & emotional well being) and happiness on the job. There are continual check ins, and every Homenstead employee is included in the process of accomplishing the company's Mission and goals. Feedback is heard, valued, and taken action upon. We're all about loving and respecting one another, especially for our differences, unique qualities and strengths. The Salt Lake City Home Instead holds quarterly In-Service meetings, where the office staff and Care Professionals all come together in one room to have fun learning and growing together. There are all inclusive discussions, interactive trainings, games, raffles and good food!  At the end, everybody is usually laughing, hugging, and feeling true gratitude, love and respect for one another and our clients we help.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Because my particular role at the Salt Lake City Home Instead is so unique, I have two separate answers because I wear two hats:  one as an Office Team Member and the other as a Care Professional/(Caregiver). 

I feel so blessed to get the best of both worlds at my job. Both as an Office Team Member and also as a Professional Caregiver.  I will describe both roles...

On a typical office work day, I am focusing on our Care Professionals, ensuring they are getting the support, mentoring and training they need to be successful at their roles in caring for the clients in the best possible way, and having fun at their jobs at the same time. 

I'm focused on recognizing the Care Professionals for the good works they are doing and ensure the kudos they're getting from their clients and family members are being mentioned.  

I also enjoy working together with the Scheduler, HR Manager and Client Care Coordinator, to ensure all clients are receiving the highest quality of care possible and enjoying their Caregivers as well.  

All day, I'm on the phones, problem- solving issues that arise, updating Care Plans, revising Task Lists, updating the website, keeping track of uniform top inventory, writing the Monthly Newsletter, and watching training videos/reading for my own self-growth (Alzheimer's disease & other dementias, Personal Care, and Working with Difficult Personalities/Dealing with Refusals).   

I also assist with Orientation once per week with a Hands-On Training Course for the new Care Pros, teaching them how to provide Safe Ambulation & Transfers, (especially from bed to wheelchair), Brief-Change in Bed with Dignity and Respect, as well as training on using the Caregiver Portal app on their phones.  

And I am always on stand-by in case of an emergency,  (if there isn't another available Care Pro at the time), I will usually run out and help fill-in for the shift. 

A typical day as a Care Professional, I get the pleasure of going to help someone in need. 

Usually that will involve assisting the person out of bed first thing, and getting them to the restroom.  I will assist the person with getting bathed and dressed for the day. 

Then I'll cook them their favorite breakfast and enjoy some lovely conversation or watch their favorite tv shows with them. 

I'll get a load of laundry started and do some other light housekeeping chores, (dishes, wipe counters, spiff up the bathroom, make bed, sweep/mop, vacuum, etc.).

Often I'll get to take my client grocery shopping or running other errands, unless they are tired and would rather stay home and rest.  If it is a client that doesn't have dementia and can be left alone, I am happy to compose the shopping list together and then go out and get the things they need and bring them back.  It's fun unloading, sorting and organizing and putting things away together.

On non shopping days, (weather permitting of course) I will always ask my client if they would like to go for a walk outside using their walker, and if a gait belt is needed for their safety, I will use that to perform a safe ambulation experience for that person.  

Or if I am working with someone who is unable to walk, I will offer to take them out on the patio in their wheelchair for some fresh air, companionship or just quiet-time,  listening to the birds and looking at the garden.

We always have plenty of daily activities planned.  Typically, we'll work on a puzzle together or play cards or someother fun, simple/easy board games.

If I am working a full day, the routine would generally include making lunch, (and eating together or else going out to a lunch together), assisting the person in their wheelchair to the bathroom a few times, more fun, games, TV, movies, laghter, etc..., a couple more light  housekeeping tasks, (getting the wash dried & put away, trash-out). 

If the person has prescribed physical therapy exercises, I will usually encourage them to do those and have fun doing the exercises together,  (because I could use it too!)  

When the person is ready to go to bed, I'll assist with their particular nightly routine, (teeth brushed, fresh brief, pajamas on) and ensure a safe transfer into bed.

I have really enjoyed my time as as caregiver, I adore most of the clients I've had the pleasure of spending time with. There is a lot of training that goes into this job and they're really good at keeping you on track, most of the training is online but there are classes as well. The staff at Home Instead has always been so friendly and they do really care about their clients. They have helped me numerous times. I really enjoy meeting other caregivers and any time that I get to stop by the office is always very pleasant. I have learned a lot from this job and I'm grateful for it! 
 
Things you should know as a future caregiver: 
If you're looking for a steady, solid, schedule type job... this is not the gig for you. Also keep in mind if you request something like 25 hours, you’ll get more like 15-18 hours on a good week. No hate towards Home Instead, that's just how it is. My schedule is different basically every week and it gets changed sometimes a few days before my shift. Clients cancelling shifts is no problem and completely understandable, it does hurt your paycheck though when your shift is cancelled and they don't offer another shift to cover instead. When things are getting flopped days before for other reasons it can be frustrating. However, that's kind of just part of the job and it's not always the company's fault for irregular schedules. There was times I was called about my shift changing or covering a shift during lectures in school or on my days off, sometimes you feel a little "on call" but you definitely don't get paid what "on call" staff make. Often your shifts will be about 3-4 hours long and usually it's "split shift" days but you don't make any travel money for the time between, sometimes they're hours apart so you have to kill time between or drive all the way back home, again.. not the company's fault that's just how it goes. Other days, you can have 6 hours of availability and they will only find you a 2 hour shift which for me may not be worth the drive. A lot of shifts for me consisted of housework, one time I did dishes for 2 and a half hours. I have lost a bit of love for my job after starting to feel more like a maid. When I do get to actually practice healthcare/caregiving skills it makes it all worth it... but some days are still harder than others. Oh and also, don’t get attached to any clients, you may work with them and get to know them for months and then randomly stop getting scheduled with them. I’ve had clients complain about this scenario also, or take it out on me when I replace their regular caregiver or they were expecting someone else. The training at Home Instead is mostly pretty good, however when I was starting out I was often thrown into a shift where I had no idea how to do certain things. I had to train myself on many skills. Make sure you're in good shape! I've had multiple clients where I needed to basically lift their entire body weight and I'm lucky I have some muscle on me. Pay wise, you make more once you're certified.. but even before you get certified what they pay compared to what we do is not enough. 
The job is definitely beneficial if you want to only work a few hours spaced out and have a unique schedule, changing your availability is an easy process you just have to wait two weeks for it to go into effect. The other thing, you need two weeks notice for ANY days off or time off. It makes sense as they need to find caregiver to cover, but rarely do you know 2 weeks in advance when you'll need a day off so it can get tricky. If it's less than two weeks it's considered a "call off" and you only get two of those every month. 

There are definitely pros and cons to every job, I only listed what I thought was valuable to someone wanting to apply. Different things work for different people and Home Instead really is a good company with good intentions and a great staff. 

The work is amazing. Working with the clients in incredibly rewarding and they are very sweet. But that’s about where it ends. The pay here is awful- bus drivers make way more and get paid benefits. We get $12 an hour and zero benefits. Oh they also expect you to be considered an emergency worker (hurricane or snow you can’t leave you must go to work) with zero hazard pay. Risk your life and vehicle for $12 an hour. That is insane.  No paid time off is given or can be earned. They expect you to give them your off requests a month out but you only get your schedule a week out…? So they’re allowed to do weekly but you’re expected to get in any requests a month in advance and they still don’t guarantee them. 

You are not guaranteed hours. This is not a job for someone who needs a stable and dependable income. One week you’ll get 40 hours, the next 25. Hours are not guaranteed and they don’t have a lot of shifts to pick up…some weeks there aren’t any. So don’t count on this to pay consistent bills. And yes sometimes you’re expected to drive a significant distance (expensive gas) to make like $30 (3 hours shift) It’ll cost $15 in gas. 

The management is nice and I don’t fault them. This is what they’re given to work with. However someone somewhere is really taking advantage of employees and being highly disrespectful.. Zero benefits. No paid off time, no guaranteed hours. But the work is incredibly fulfilling and the clients are often so so sweet, they make the job what it is.

Love the work but hate how much advantage the company takes of its clients, this is why they are always hiring. It seems to be consistent they hire ppl, give them a bunch of hours, then shave them down. So you’ll start with 40, then they keep dropping you, until some are only getting 10 hours a week, it’s sad. Your schedule is unknown and so is your paycheck. For the work the caregivers do, the amount of responsibility they put on their shoulders, I don’t feel we are well compensated. 

I hope there is a massive change at some point to resolve these issues. I doubt it. So they will likely keep cycling through people constantly. They seem to like doing that for whatever reason. 

If you’re okay with these things perhaps it would fit you. Also it will take about a month for you to get your first paycheck- a week for training then it’s every two weeks so you’ll have to work a couple weeks to accrue then wait for the pay period to end. Don’t count on a fast paycheck. It’s a lot to put in to start to get little in return for about a month.
I was also sad to see how they switched pay systems and didn’t tell employees until late December they wouldn’t get paid for 3 weeks instead of two in January which was really hard around Christmas. Then they said they’d slip a paycheck in to help only to redact it and say that their system didn’t allow 3 paychecks a month. To do that to these families mostly struggling to get by right at Christmas was pretty heartless. I was disappointed to see that. 

All the aside the work is my favorite job I’ve ever had. Just sad how it’s set up. You help elderly and sickly and assist them. Store errands, cooking meals, cleaning house, keeping company…it’s a job where you’re kinda a jack of all trades and you never know what each day will hold.

They do try and keep you with the same clients. Some clients have several caregivers in their homes throughout the week while others will have one main one. The clients become like family and you begin to genuinely care about them and their well being. Incredibly rewarding work where it really matters, in the heart. Some clients will treat you like gold, and others like trash. Just how the job is. Hopefully you get kind clients and it’s a reciprocal relationship where you both help each other and are kind to each other. 

I am thankful for the job but may have to look elsewhere bc of the inconsistent hours and low pay, and lack of benefits. That makes me sad. I would greatly miss my clients. 

A typical day:
The work depends on the needs of the clients. Some clients only need help with household chores while others are full dependents. You have a care plan that gives you an overview of the client and their needs; they also give you a checklist of tasks to complete by the end of your shift. Your job is to do what needs to be done and help in any way that you can. (i.e. changing incontinent briefs, showering, dressing/changing, peri care, repositioning, etc.) 

What you believed you learned:
I have learned how to make care plans, use feeding tubes, trachea tube cares, and use a pure wick.  

Management:
Managers are toxic. They constantly micromanage our schedules and they don't give their workers a say. They put unreasonable expectations on their employees by taking on clients who need help well beyond our training levels (scope of practice). They do not train new employees outside of a few hours of orientation and do not instill the skills needed to do the job required. Negative communication is how they communicate with this company.   They lack clear ways of communication with employees and clients. This is as simple as getting a hold of them on the phone. As well as in the office they overshare what is happening with clients and staff's personal lives with the rest of the staff. They do not give their workers recognition for their hard work every day and recognize how taxing being a caregiver can be on them. This company uses favoritism as a way to justify how they treat their workers. They give preferential treatment to certain employees and compare the other workers to how they performed. They also use our reviews by clients against us to judge our worth to their company and if they will give us more work. 

Workplace Culture:
They make everyone feel as if we are valued, "family," and recognized for what we do. They use our genuine care, compassion, and kindness to their advantage. Many of the office staff have never worked as a caregiver or have an understanding of the strain of this job. They just accept that the workers are there to work and keep taking on clients that they have no staff to take of. (Having other staff of sister companies take care of their clients).

Hardest part of the job:
Being a caregiver is not easy and you can burn out quickly. This company will overwork good employees and people causing them to burn out. They will still keep working said employees even when they are burnt out and can no longer give 100% to their clients (Personally only had 5 days off in a month). It's hard to get in contact with this company. Their website says they are open 9 am-9 pm; their office is open from 8 am-6 pm. They will keep scheduling workers until 9 pm to fill open clients. They give no way of contacting clients or staff due to the after-hours (emergency only) hours being put into action as soon as they close. This company will also take on clients that need medical help outside of our scope (CNA); let alone the stress that puts on someone who has never had any medical training. 

The most enjoyable part of the job:
I loved working this job! I loved helping people and those who wanted to stay at home and out of a facility. It was a privilege to meet new people and their families. It was an amazing honor to be there to comfort clients and family members alike. Being a hand to hold for anyone made me feel whole, gave me purpose, and joy! 

Where to begin...? First off, this company advertised you could “make your own schedule.” Most of the people hired have another job at nursing homes and were just getting this job because they wanted to be able to pick up extra shifts. Then, at orientation they tell you you must work weekends and any other shifts they ask you to take. They also advertise that they have insurance and pay your gas mileage that you use while running errands for your clients. More lies.. For whatever reason this company thinks it’s okay to advertise complete lies. They do inform you at your interview that you will have to pay $75 for your background check. But then at orientation they give you a list of other things that will be coming out of your paycheck. Random charges such as “sexual predator check, drivers license check, etc.” So that’s another $100 taken out of your next paycheck. Do background checks not check for those things already?? You will be forced to take shifts that are not in your availability. All day, everyday they will send everyone threatening texts. If someone quits or calls in sick it then because your responsibility to cover their shift or you will be “reported to HR.” Also, they regularly remind you that if you can’t go to a shift or you leave if a client becomes violent that you will be put on the “elder abuse list.” At orientation they tell you that you will be with someone when they first introduce you to your clients. That never happened for me. I was just on my own every single time. Although, I did hear that they did that for one of the other new workers. Just not me. When there are emergencies that happen with your clients, such as, an irate Alzheimer’s patient and you call the office for help (that’s what they tell you to do in orientation) the office will not help you or give advice. They just tell you that you can’t leave or you will be put on the “elder abuse list.” So prepare to learn how to deal with extremely uncomfortable situations that you may not know how to deal with. Also, they tell you that you will be given all the information about your client so you know what to prepare for. But some of the care plans look like they were written in 30 seconds and doesn’t even explain what the client has problems with or what you need to be helping them with. Lastly, my first paycheck was shorted $484. I guess that was because they took out all the fees and unexpected charges. This company has an unbelievably high turn over rate and there is obviously a reason. That why you will be getting texts all day and even in the middle of the night to cover someone else’s shifts. This job sounded great and i was proud of the work i did. But, we are so under appreciated and underpaid that it’s sad. The senior workers told me that it used to be a good company until the new owners took over. You will see the owner in the office but they won’t even acknowledge you or introduce themselves to you. I think that says a lot. I’m not some bitter ex employee who made these things up. This was 100% accurate and I think people deserve to know the truth so they don’t waste their time with this job and get a job that they can actually pay their bills with.

I have worked for HISC for two years almost three and have never been given a raise even though I have been elected CG of the month multiple times and am one of the "favorites." They are very passive aggressive. They'll try to not pay you accurately for your mileage(and will act like you're lying about it) and when you are not scheduled to work they will harass you to accept last minute shifts(which causes a lot of anxiety and makes it so you can't enjoy your day off.) If you decline then you will be punished by having your hours dramatically cut(even though you are not an on call person etc.) so then you feel obligated to accept all shifts possible and work yourself to the bone for very little pay. They pay LESS for overnight shifts even though you are likely dealing with severe dementia patients who have severe sundowners. They promised they were increasing the pay rate on overnights to try to keep me in them. After waiting a couple months I told them I wouldn't do overnights anymore. Almost a year later the pay has still not increased as they had said it would. They have told me I'd be getting a new position and then it would not happen. They will try to bribe you to take a shift by giving you a $5 gift card or $5 for gas(what is $5 going to do?) and a lot of times they will place you with inappropriate clients(a 110lb CG with a 200lb client who cannot bear any of their own weight and has no hoyer lift.) 

They tend to not keep up to date on their clients and will desperately try to hold on to clients even when it's clear the client NEEDS more help than what we can offer them. They will send new CG's without notifying the client or they will constantly send different CG's to a client with Alzheimer's and severely upset/confuse them. They will charge the wrong rates to the client. For example they will charge the personal care rate when the client is really only receiving companionship etc. They neglect to tell clients of the 48hr shift cancellation policy(so the clients will cancel with only 24hr notice and will have to pay for the shift anyways.) The place is generally disorganized. You'll be told someone from the office will meet you for an introduction with a new client and then no one will show and you end up looking like an idiot cause you know nothing about the client in advance and have to "wing it." 

The bottom line is when you work for them for a while like I have they will keep adding on additional responsibilities but the pay will never change. The specific home instead I work for is held together by one person only. If this one person in the office left than the entire company would crumble and be totally non-existent. I only stay due to my love of the clients. Most CG's become CNA's and leave the company for these reasons and I am in the process of doing the same thing. The only pro I can say there is would be the availability of any shift you can imagine. You could work any shift you could think of which is very convenient if you have young children or another job etc.

A typical day is caring for seniors on various shifts in their home. You can work first, second, third shift and even weekends. They have a special need for people to work weekends and third shift. Management/Staff gives the appearance of being helpful and nice but they are very jealous of employees that have other employment. They also have a need for CNAs as well as caregivers (without a CNA license). There is a high turnover for both caregivers and staff because management does not treat employees fairly. Employees are targeted for termination while others are favored. Employees that kiss up to management tend to be treated better by management. I would not recommend this agency for anyone to work as a career or to have as their one and only job. This job would be good for someone that is retired, in school, or just looking for supplemental income. I say this because I would not rely on working here as my main source of income because it is likely that you will be terminated if someone in management does not like you. Management tends to target and terminate employees that do not work hours that match their needs. When an employee declines work three times it is grounds for having "a conversation" with a supervisor or manager. This can lead to being targeted for termination. They have prizes and caregiver of the month awards but it seems that the same employees and/or the employees that kiss up to management get the prizes. The hardest part of working for this agency is that they do not pay their employees for what we are worth and especially for what we do. Employees are not even compensated for gas, however, when an employee is asked to take care of a client that is out of their preferred area to travel and the employee declines, management tends to look negatively on that employee. This agency actually pays their employees less than most agencies in the area. There is also a high turnover in the office staff. They can not keep a CNA because they do not pay CNAs for what they are worth and then they will get upset with their CNAs availability does not match the needs of the company. Or they will get mad with a CNA for having another job, especially if they are working for another agency. You will need to work another job because the rate of pay that they pay is close to minimum wage for employees that are not CNAs and extremely low for CNAs. You would probably get paid more working in fast food restaurants than working at this agency. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with different clients. Some clients are difficult. But most clients are looking for companionship. It feels good to help others. But it feels bad to work for an agency that does not care about its employees, that does not pay them for what they are worth and will resort to shady measures to target and terminate employees that they feel are not working enough hours.

I have worked here for almost 2 yrs and generally enjoy it. I've enjoyed the majority of the clients I've been assigned to, as well as most of the staff. The pay can be frustrating and will ultimately be the reason that I leave (no raises), comparable to working fast food places. The benefits are of no value to me as I have better through my spouse. On the flip side of that, we get holiday pay when working, including Mother's Day, which is nice. I also really value the flexible scheduling. 

Since I don't use any of the offered benefits, and neither do most of the other staff I've spoken with, I wish they'd offer other small perks here and there. Maybe a paid day off for your birthday if you've been with them for over 6 months, or a gift card for exceptional performance/attendance/etc. Whatever, just a thought.

Another frustration has been poor communication between the office and the caregivers. I've learned to not trust anything that's not in writing and it often seems that the office staff don't communicate amongst themselves as well. While they require you to send in your availability every two weeks, they will try to schedule you outside of what you tell them. Be prepared to either be flexible and just do it or stand your ground and risk irritating them. I understand that they have to make sure the clients have coverage, but when I say I'm "unavailable", I truly am unavailable. I am a parent, student, and work another/more stable job for guaranteed hours. 

If one of your scheduled clients dies (sad, and it will happen if you stick around long enough), then those hours will disappear for a while until the office figures out the next scheduling cycle and/or takes on a new client. It does''t bother me, but I can see how that would not work for someone who needs a promise of steady hours to pay the bills. 

Most of the clients are wonderful and I really do enjoy this type of work. While you don't have to have previous care experience, if you have ever been a CNA then this job will seem like a dream. You will work 1:1 (or 1:2 if there's a spouse) with a client during your shift and will do anything from light housekeeping, shopping, driving them to appointments, and meal prep to more involved tasks such as assisting them with bathing/toileting, medication reminders, minor wound care (anything more and there will be actual nursing care involved as well), etc. If you ever feel like you're in over your head or a client's health changes, you let the office know so they can figure out what to do next (i.e. they may need to contact the family to let them know that outside nursing care is needed, etc.).

Aside from just being a nice job (in my opinion), this would be great experience for students in the fields of nursing, sociology, psych, premed, any of the "therapy" fields (OT/PT/SLP) as it will give you great perspective of day to day life for aging seniors and the challenges they face.

I have been with this Home Instead since October of 2021. Starting as a Care Pro, I learned the difficulties and the fulfillment that comes from working in home with seniors, trying to help them be safe and make sure they are doing okay. As a Care Professional, it can be hard to juggle life and work. It is a commitment joining this team, as the need for care in the home continues to grow more everyday. The schedule can be a little chaotic, but at the end of the day, it is an opportunity to meet many different people and feel the impact that you can make on an individual level. Caring for seniors requires patience, calmness, and the ability to have a "water off a duck's back" mentality. Seniors are facing a lot of difficulties, and sometimes the frustration that stems from that falls on your shoulders as a Care Professional. I cannot praise the work enough, with my aunt referring to it as being "the hands and feet of Jesus." Tough days? Definitely. Days where you are at your wits end because someone with dementia was having a very difficult day? For sure. Days where you have to fight the urge to gag because you got some body fluids on you? Comes with the territory. But being able to rest at night knowing that you have assisted not just the client, but brought relief to their family as well, is enough to get a good night's rest and try again the next day with a fresh attitude.

As far as the team dynamics at Home Instead, when I started in the office, I was surprised to learn just how much goes into the care for a single individual. As a Care Professional, the team never laid those burdens onto me, allowing me to focus on care for the individuals I was scheduled to serve. But now that I have had more time to watch the office staff work and work with them, I can see that they are problem solvers focused on finding solutions; flexible in helping to maintain the wellbeing of the staff; supportive in difficult situations, dropping what they are doing to be there with a Care Pro and a client if need be; welcoming to all; and to-the-point about expectations and focused on helping Care Professionals provide the best care possible. There are a lot of unexpected outside circumstances that could easily lead to giving up, but giving up is not in the forte of the office team and the Care Professionals on staff. This is a place where policies and procedures matter, but heart matters more.

The most enjoyable part of it all? Through all of the hard work, you get to build relationships, not just as work, but as a community of care and compassion. You get to be a part of a diverse team that approaches situations from a wide perspective. You get to work with like minded people that have one common goal: to care.

So almost two weeks ago (10/16/12) I was hired by Home Instead Senior care company that called me right away after applying online. So I was really excited when they asked me to come in to fill out paper work in the office (that was all the way across town from me) and hired me to come into orientation a week later.
I went to buy scrubs for the care giver position and was there with three other people who were hired with me.
They told us they'd go over all there many clients in need of help to match us with and call us when they found something.

But they had never called me into start working! Nor any of my other fellow new employees, not one of us was called into start working! One man that was hired with me had to find new work and was hired by a new care giver company that put him to work right away with clients.
I am astounded by this carelessness for its own care giver's!
This whole time they were supposed to find myself a client I could give care to, after all their long speeches of how so many of their client Seniors need care Immediately and how they have limited care giver's on call.
Yet here I am WAITING and they never call me back with work no matter how many times I'd call them, only the sickly rude little girls over the phone and handling the books would totally blow me off every time.

WHY WOULD YOU HIRE PEOPLE AND NOT GIVE THEM A JOB TO DO?!?!?!?!!? SERIOUSLY THAT IS SO INCREDIBLY IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL THAT IS SOMETHING YOU COULDN'T DO ON ACCIDENT, ONLY ON PURPOSE IS IT POSSIBLE!!!

At one point they did call me in for one interview with a sweet old lady who was a stroke victim at home. The girl calls me to tell me the interview was at 4:00 pm but didn't even know the clients name or address, but would call me back. Next day, no call about the address, I called her and she gave me the address but no name and that's it. I show up and they didn't mention that their would also be two other care givers to be interviewed with me there fighting for the same job! In the end the clients couldn't even hire any of us because they said the company itself was out of the clients district only realizing it after interviewing the care givers!

Well that being said because of there horribly managed office and staff who are under qualified, I don't really have a job while currently under their employment. After everything when I need the money like there's no tomorrow and am struggling to find new work waiting for this one to call me thinking I was employed already and was stupidly expecting work when I went to this orientation of employment and bought scrubs for a job that never came up after 2 weeks!!!!!!! DO NOT GO FOR HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE!!!!
