Corporate politics play a big part in this company. One moment you are up for promotion, the next you’re signing termination documents due to leadership lap dogs. They will make up excuses on why you were terminated and not be able to provide evidence or paper trails. When you call them out of their blatant lies, they just ignore you. This goes for Impellam and their clients. The biggest sting will come when you realize that the internal issues/arguments had nothing to do with you, but you get looped in as collateral damage because of the working relationships you made with others that saw your value, wanted to see you succeed, and were following proper channels to make sure you did. 

As far as the client side of things, you will meet and work with great people. The downside is if Impellam leadership does not like Client Directors that were assigned to them to help with the program, Impellam leadership will work slowing but surely to get rid of them. I personally find it cowardly on the client end to follow through with these requests but they do. So if you are a Client Directors working with Impellam/Guidant Global, please beware. You wouldn’t think they would not have a say in your position or any pull as you are the “client”, but they do. 

A warning to suppliers/vendors. I apologize for the way that most of them treat you. You are nothing but a drop in a bucket to them and disposable. They will call you a partner but you’re not in their eyes once they hang up the phone. You’re just another nuisance that they have to deal with. I am not referring to just the mom and pop shops either. It is all of you. If you do not bend to their will, you will be written off almost immediately. They say that their programs are supposed to be better for you in the long run but they aren’t. They hold no value other than simplifying billing. They are essentially just a glorified billing company. You are the boots on the ground doing the actual work as they take a piece of the pie. They are the IRS of the staffing world. You will sometimes work with Talent Consultants that treat you like a true partner as I did but they are far and few between. 


Personable people with good work ethics, and willing to take the time to answer questions.  A good environment to work in, the grounds are lovely.

Still have a multitude to learn about this Funeral Home, but everyone has been willing to aid in my education.
The Office Manager & Administrative Assistant are both excellent people.
The hardest part of the job is when the system/computer is not working well.
Being treated as an adult and expected & respected to do the work assigned to me.

Personnel in UK office were very nice.

Terrible finance infrastructure/data systems.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very focused on creating "safe spaces" for protected groups, but make it difficult for all other employees to raise legitimate concerns (e.g., finance data/systems, difficult personnel, etc.)

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Never-ending firedrill (mostly due to deficient systems/data).

This company is completely out of touch with whom it utilizes for management and leadership.  They create distance from others through hyper-emotionality, passive-aggressive tactics, diminished communication, and unwarranted skepticism that erodes trust.  Additionally, a few have been in their roles too long which allows them to overpower and manipulate people while aggrandizing the self.

Impellam Group checks all the boxes for corporate clichés: “we are a family,” “your opinion counts on this anonymous survey,” and “being in the office boosts collaboration.” In reality, the culture is toxic, and the leadership relies heavily on AI and optimization initiatives that feel more like metrics than meaningful work. Employees are pressured to conform to office mandates that don’t match how others across the country work. If you value transparency, fairness, and a supportive environment, this isn’t the place.

Little to no room for growth, advancement, or pay increases. Even if your work is recognized and you are already doing the work, you will be asked to give a presentation on essentially why you deserve to be promoted.. even if you are already in that position and doing that job. Additionally,  this company is on the low end in terms of salaries. They want people with 3-5 years of experience, but at an entry level/no experience salary. Annual increases are unreasonably low at around 1% (or less) per year. 

Impellam was a nice company to work for in that they are open to the ideas of employees. My coworkers were great to engage with and the work flow was very consistent. However, there is a lack of structure and the training process was almost non-existent. Overall a good place to work as long as you are able management your time very well and are able to catch on very quickly.

Always a pleasure to learn new industry practices and new ideas.  They allowed me to reach out and develop my very own customer base and try out new ideas.

I've had to deal with five employee experience reps in the last 1 1/2 yrs and the last one I was assigned to 1) didn't understand my simple question regarding dental insurance card to show my dentist 2) hasn't responded to my follow up inquiry in three weeks now. I emailed Impellam directly through their contact us page a week ago and thus far no answer either!

the job I had interviewed for never came to fruition, mainly because the head of my department was just overwhelmed with work.  I grew in my profession through trial and error.  There was a lot of opportunity to gain hands-on experience, but it would have been better had I the opportunity to grow as was originally intended.
