It’s a tolerable environment, but if you’re passionate about helping this specific population, chances are, no one will have that same vigor as you. I’m grateful enough to be able to work in a home where staff is on the same page as me, but that’s not always the case. There is stupid drama between staff, clients, and management which doesn’t make sense to me because at the end of the day, our purpose is to make sure the clients are on track on attaining that “independent lifestyle”. However, this company is also a business and will try to keep them in these homes to profit off of them. As an RBT it is difficult for me to implement certain interventions due to administrators and management catering to clients WANTS (not their needs). Behavioral therapy should be thrown out the window if there is no consistency between staff and management.

As much as I loved working with the clients, I have to say this company is terrible. Don't get me wrong. There are some really awesome people there. However, every week it seemed like somebody was fired or quit. I never knew who to report to. The clients are amazing and I put my heart into taking care of them, but I didn't even get breaks or lunch. They told me to have lunch with the client. I worked a straight 8 hr day without breaks or lunch break 5-6 days a week. They even had a class action suit against them because of this. I really wanted to enjoy working there and stay a long time, but their ethics are not good.

The most enjoyable part of the job was engaging with the residents. Management was severely lacking. Administrators would hire their friends from the outside and promote them to lead managers. There was absolutely no professionalism or a teamwork environment. The staff were lazy, had a bad attitude, and made no effort to engage with residents. I've seen staff bully other staff and screaming matches between staff in front of residents. This place is a joke.

You’re working in a group home setting with individuals who need your help. You’re in this position to help people and better peoples lives. It’s a great concept overall, but when the company does its best to screw over its employees, it makes it difficult to work in a happy environment. This is a great place to learn and they will give you all the tools to learn about this specific sector, but the chances of you moving up in this company are slim due to an unbelievable level of favoritism

I don’t even understand how homes are opened to a company like this. So unorganized, unprofessional, uneducated.  Employers do not care for clients! Have met so many people within this company, no one knows what’s going on, take clients to appointments last minute, they eat/drink from the food of the clients. The house administrator from Manor home is horrible. How are these people even qualified to work with people with disabilities?

When you arrive to work...you go over what the client been doing? Activities, outing, Interactions and more.
The house should be clean....NO it doesn't.  Management don't want to hear about what staff ďidnt do...you have to do it. Day after day after day. You can't complain, or they will get rid of you. There turnover rate is very high, ppl don't choose to stay, and have no support from management.


This place is seriously bad. Its ran like a MAFIA by 2 guys that dictate everything. Everyone from the office staff to the maintenance person is related to them. They care only about the money and not about the clients they serve. Abuse and misconduct is an everyday thing. They even own a restaurant down the street with MAFIA décor!!

If you are a DSP I think this is probably one of the better agencies to be employed by due to their size, variety of assignments, and positive activities they try to implement. However if you are Licensed or Certificated personnel this is a place that is a good place if you are ok with being supervised by people that are not clinicians.

This job is a special job because you get to help people who really need you. You get training on how to deal with behaviors and if you catch on and are responsible you will move up fast on this company due to lots of opportunity. 

Overall it is a good place to work if your just starting out and learning new job skills. The environment is fun and every day is different. I really miss the clients.
