Every day started with a new challenge for me to learn from, never had a dull moment, or an unfulfilled heart to take home after work
Our QMRP/Administrator to me personally speaking, .was the most patient understanding, goodhearted, admired by all,.
I hold the greatest respect to him, and my gratitude goes far, for all I have learned from him,and all the wisdom and new qualities instilled me from his coaching and administration, he so well directed.
co-workers do come and go, though there are those that you could never forget even if you tried,. the few the true, the Genuine Special ones, you come to realize you have been given privilege to work beside of, and to be of witness to the great gift and God given quality they radiate so naturally. I keep them in thoughts and heart forever
The only hard part of the job, was and I quote!
Was having to come to the one thing I never thought would ever happen to myself, I had to endure the tragic loss of a loved one, and except the realization of suddenly having to leave with no option of choice, The the beautiful and extraordinarily fascinating angel's I had come to understand and bond with so strongly in heart and learned to communicate with and yes, come to even LOVE so dearly.
Have to leave.
But I have to say all the riches and trophies or merit's of the world.
Could not come close to the Experience, the Privilege,or Blessing I have acquired from day one, since I started working for Independent Options Inc.. The Unconditional Love that was given and instilled in my heart from our consumers assigned me, It was the most incredible experience of my entire life. Awesome !

A typical day at Advanced Options, that is a challenge to describe, because every day was at least somewhat unique. Yes, the staff and management tried to provide structure for the consumers, but sometimes the consumers had other ideas. We were there from 8AM-4:30PM, and the consumers arrived at 8:30, and usually left by 3 at the latest, depending on transportation. It was very much like a small school, and the staff were responsible to plan activities for each consumer in their rooms, and usually had the pleasure of seeing each consumer in that given room at least once a day. 

My manager was very creative, and it showed in the after-hours parties and activities that she would plan with the company houses, ranging from dances to workouts to arts & crafts times. She did her best to keep things in line, which is a difficult task, and did an admirable job of it while I was working there.

My co-workers were an interesting motley crew. We were quite interdependent on each other, due to the nature of the work we were doing, and when one link was suffering, the program struggled to do as well. We each cared deeply for the consumers, and had favorites among them. 

The hardest part was when chain-reaction behaviors would occur, taking a given situation and escalating it almost beyond salvage. However, that didn't happen too often, thankfully, because the team was pretty good at being proactive most of the time.

The best part of the job was seeing the consumers happy and behavior-free for a day. Those were golden days.

This work place, was typical to other companies where you had to deal with internal politics, and will only get by if you keep your opinions to yourself, and follow the practices of the past which pretty much meant you had to look the other way, when you knew perfectly well, that employees who been with the company for more than 10 years were lazy, and insubordinate. I guess everyone's scared of getting sued these days, or there's always some inside favoritism going on. Because of this, some of the employees go on getting away with work ethnics which would be unimaginable  to keep their jobs given the fact if they worked anywhere else in the real world. This is just another company that says, we appreciate your feedback but in actually hate hearing feedback, as they're will be seen as complaints, which no one wants to deal with. Also lots of wrongs going on which the CEO could easily figure out, if he's only looked beyond the surface of things. Management staff need to hear the whole story, and not just care about the results.

Living on my own and putting myself through college was made easy by working here. What I learned working at this company helped me open doors at other employment opportunities that require the skills I learned here. You can get academic internship hours here and strengthen your resume. The pay may not be the most competitive in a sense, but if you eat the healthy meals you make here with the clients and having paid "breaks", you earn a lot more at Independent Options than you would at other jobs that require unpaid breaks and don't have meal opportunities. Being a teacher for the clients was the most rewarding experience here as well as being part of a strong team.

A mediocre place to work if you're a student as it's a very flexible job. Here are some points I feel like someone who's thinking of applying should know.
-Independent Options has policies against writing their employees a letter of recommendation or reference.
-Favoritism is rampant.
-There is no accountability for clients whether it be a standard behavior or criminal actions. You're allowed to defend yourself, but not fight back no matter how severe an attack might be. 
-Pretty much anyone can work here. 
-You'll be paid significantly lower than the industry average.
-People at corporate are awesome.

HORRIBLE, this company under pays you for the amount of work and responsibilities that are placed on you. The work environment is very hectic coworkers act like they are still in high school. None of the staff keep the house clean or follow routine which causes a increase in client’s behaviors. The management is the WORST nothing is ever taken seriously and there is no form of authority. House leader and manger play favorite and will walk all over you. None of the staff care about the clients, neglecting personal hygiene and cleanliness of the house.   Be prepared to never be taken seriously and to have staff stir drama while leaving all the work load for the next shift.

Help consumer with day to day tasks making sure they can live as independently as possible. I learned how to deal with difficult clients because of their mental disability. I was able to mitigate specific task getting done, making sure that the consumer could continue their independent living. I worked one on one so I didn't have coworkers. The job was challenging mentally because mental disabilities are a day to day challenge. I enjoyed the challenge because helping those who need it is a passion of mine and any way that I can help those brings me satisfaction.

Bad company to work for. Compensation  is lower than what other companies pay for the same position. The work environment is stressful from management, colleagues and clients
This company breaks labor laws. It does not pay double time when working over 12 hours in a day. Claim you must work 16 in order to get paid double time for any hours worked over 12. Let staff get away with being neglectful to clients because they are understaffed and people quit often. Afraid to reprimand incompetent staff

I have been with the company for 7 years. I love it. Its the best company to work for. The day programs administrator , regional director, an resource specialist are very loving an caring about there client and staff.
Its a grate learning environment. 

We have monthly safety training. Raffles. Excellent benefits. Would recommend this place. To work in.

Had the pleasure of meeting and talking to the 
CEO several times. Hes anasome guy. Puts the interested of the clients frist.and is very generous with his staff too.

The clients are to die for. However, management are very unprofessional. They are very retaliatory and unreliable. They make promises they can't keep, and they blame their staff for their faults. This does not apply if your the managements favorite. Favoritism is common here. The clients keep you going though, management takes advantage of that. Just be aware, and make sure your doing your job to the T because management will throw you under the bus if there was to be an incident.
