I worked for Integrated health 21 for almost 4-years. I started off as a biometric screener and account manager. I was unsure of what I wanted to do with my future but my background was in Exercise Physiology and research which lead me to gain interest in the Data Department. The management allowed me to expand my skill set and become an important part of the Data Department. The management is willing to pay for certifications as they pertain to your job which is a plus. They want their employees to grow professionally and personally while employed by IH21. The normal day overall is pretty relaxed minus when any issues arise. Being that this is a small group of individuals be ready to wear multiple hats within the company. With multiple hats comes lots of problem solving and thinking outside of the box. If you are going to work here you have to be able to think on your feet and get creative. When any issues happen be ready for constructive criticism but don't take it personally. Overall, the small company feel is nice as everyone is nice and interested in your personal life outside of work. But there are difficult days that go along with the good as with any company.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The help and understanding they have for there employees! I always enjoyed the jobs and the travel involved. Always able to communicate with management! Praised my coworkers and always happy to help with my many many years of phlebotomy. Would consider working for IH21 again!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Short staff at times when a person calls off sometimes to many participants scheduled for a short amount of time.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great! We set up our sites so we speak up cause of the specific rules we must follow. All participants must be taken care of in a quiet area to follow Hepa rules and laws for confidentiality.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
No longer working there now but they were early start but also ended early. Great hours.

High turnover in Integrated Health 21 (Pittsburgh, PA corporate office). Always understaffed and extreme micromanagement. Toxic environment created by upper management/owner. Employees with input on improvements are usually told they are wrong or don't understand the company (even if they have been working there for 5+ years). A lot of upper management are long-time friends or family members so HR is aware of issues but does not/can not do anything. You will rely on your coworkers to make your day even remotely doable. The other employees here are always great but anyone smart/capable is looking to leave if not leaving already!

I have been an employee of Integrated Health21 for 12 years.  During that time I have been lucky to witness and support tremendous growth within our company. Our management team is always looking for more opportunities to lead our clients and staff forward in this ever changing environment.  This offers challenges to our team in keeping our new clients as well as our clients that we maintain from year to year.  We take great effort in developing new interns to help them succeed in future employment with our team or an employee that any employee would be lucky to have.

I worked at IH for over 10 years.  During that time, Integrated has grown from a small company that serviced a tri state area to a nationwide company.  It was rewarding being part of that and the continued growth there.  I had the opportunity to learn many different aspects of the company, saw my ideas and suggestions implemented and became more than prepared to take on challenges.  The people who work there are amazing, many of whom have been there since the beginning days.  They are knowledgeable and work together as a team towards a common goal.   You can work directly with top leadership without the red tape of many organizations.  I found the company to be flexible with time/schedule which was very important to me.  

I got hired on because they were starting more work in the West Coast and they wanted me to help start that. Well I have been on one assignment and it was definitely not the western united states. I didn't have an easy time getting my pay figured out and since then I have submitted requests for a lot of projects and yet I am never picked. Super frustrating when you are trying to work.

There are not good parts of working for this company

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Leadership is unorganized and abusive. Clients are treated poorly, almost as poorly as the employees.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment and culture are exceedingly toxic

Company is organized and on top of things. They are always responsive and appreciative to their staff. They go the extra mile to make sure their clients have a positive outcome. 

As a PRN screener my schedule belongs to me. I love the flexibility. Everyone is so nice and easy to work for/with. Someone is always available to answer any questions and help where needed. 

A fun company, great staff, lots of travel which is what I love. Great clients, great supervisors, They help the events go smoothly, fun and efficient.
