Too many quotas that are evaluated weekly; if you are below quota management threatened to write up people. There is too much red tape, too many required tasks to complete, and not enough support or time. There are long and highly variable work hours (even though it was advertised as a 9-5 position), and over assigned cases (was promised 50, had 89 cases). Majority of management is unsupportive and ignores employee concerns. I have seen management make teammates cry after meeting with them. Most staff is constantly stressed out. Management promotes "self-care" but scolds employees for taking PTO. Top performers on team would work 60+ hours a week and had no time for personal life and were often worn-out and depressed. It is hypocritical to foster a unhealthy work environment for mental health while preaching mental/behavioral health goals for clients. 

The only positive things about this organization was being able to help kids, and the work culture between colleagues.

The CEO standing at an all staff meeting telling a case manager to balance their time better after she expressed a concern about case loads and feeling they were too high with client needs and amount of paperwork to submit. They only care about billable encounters and it is hostile, even if you are meeting their quotas, don't expect any loyalty from them if something happens that you get overwhelmed with. They want their money. Employee potlucks you have to bring your own food in for, what time did you want them to cook that as they were driving all over the county trying to meet your clients? Terrible reimbursement on vehicle wear and tear. Your expected to transport clients and if they bring bed bugs or break anything in your car: oh, that's why you have to have insurance. They don't cover it. I put 15K miles on my car in a year. Not worth the pay, the time consumption and the uselessness of the Admin. Insane place to work it will consume your life and they do not care. Worst place I have worked behavioral health in 17 yrs of experience. Don't work there.

I've worked in alot of different environments, some good and some bad. I have to state unequivocally that this is the most poorly managed place I have ever been employed. No protocols, few standardized procedures, and overly-reactionary leadership from top to bottom.  Its like there is no understanding at all of a proper chain-of-command and organizational structure.

The employees are great to work with, while nearly all of the management staff *seem to* have spent a few months to a year or two doing the actual work. But they typically hold forth as though they have tons of experience in the field.

Working with the clientele was the best part of the job. Dealing with administrators was the worst. 

While I enjoyed working here at times, the stress-load is way too high. The stress of dealing with clients is manageable. The stress of dealing with administrators...not worth it.  All i can say is that I am overjoyed to no longer be working for them.

Training varies depending on your role and supervisor. If you are a recovery coach you shadow but are really thrown in with a full case load and little support from supervisors. Management style varies depending on the supervisor and team lead. Some are better than others but all have the expectation once you're done with training you can handle anything thrown at you. Office culture is very relaxed and co workers are very friendly towards one another and very willing to help. All Recovery Coaches (low and high needs) are expected to maintain contact with their cases every two weeks as well as do skills training. Current caseloads do not reflect reality and most do not have time to do everything thus working after hours. Management is too far removed from entry level and cannot maintain enough employees.

No Training!
No Leadership!
They care more about making money and less about proper staffing.
No security or recognition of your job no matter how hard you work.
No transparency and No communication!
Managers take credit for employees work!
They humiliate and discourage thinking. Group setting are even worse.
Departments don't work in connection with each other, chaos!
Ask what the turn-over rate has been in the last 2 years, this will tell you about employee retention.
Watch out for those special employees who have special privileges.

EXTREME HIGH STRESS POSITIONS!

I commend the thought of this non-profit organization, however non-profit no longer means what you think. This is big business.

On a side note, like talking on your personal phone all day while clocked-in?, then this is the place you want to work.

Immediate supervisors are outstanding, hard working ethical individuals.  CMS, Cenpatico, AHCCCS and the OIG have rules and regulations in place for a specific reason.  That reason is to prevent fraud,  waste and abuse.  Unfortunately I am not allowed to perform my job duties within Quality Management as mandated by these governing agencies because of decisions made by the CEO. Know the guidelines and follow them because it is the right thing to do. Know the correct way to ensure proper claim submissions from a clinical and/or administrative perspective, cover yourself and report the fraudulent activity, should you come across it as I have done.  Protect your licensure, accreditation and reputation.

Unsupportive, dissmissive, poorly managed and employees are over worked. This company commits numerous violations on a weekly basis, from refusing to compensate staff for hours worked to placing employees in hazardous/dangerous conditions and environments. Staff are poorly trained and dismissed when requesting training. Underpaid would be an understatement and you can absolutely forget about the possibility of a raise or anytype of career advancement. The company claims to be concerned about the welfare of clients and employees but is often more concerned with expansion. As a whole the agency is poorly managed and completely disorganized. If you're considering this position, think twice. I have yet to meet a fellow employees who disagrees.

'self-care' is a buzz word with this company there truly is no understanding that you may be in school, have kids or a partner. 
Job descriptions change and the expectation is you roll with it with no pay bump or discussion of when it can occur. I've heard from employees with the company over 4 years, that there is a raise freeze and this appears to be true.
Management requires a lot, it's all take from level entry amd no give. There is no room to grow professionally unless you want to be a therapist.
The culture overall appears with smiles but ask someone how they are doing and often times people get teary eyed. 
Compensation is unreasonable low, hard to stay motivated.

Have a positive outlook on, teaching the members, but the company lacks the ability to care for their employees. Troubles  are short staffed in all locations. Staff don’t feel appreciated and there are high turnover rate. Understaffed but the higher ups will still max up the facilities members. It makes for an unsafe environment. My advice if you want to experience being a BHT then find it elsewhere but if this were you land. Godspeed and make it short term 

I loved this company and everything it provides to its employees. The only thing that stressed me out daily was my location. My location was very small and my office was just as small with no windows. I was constantly pressured to stay at my desk so that I could meet my units which eventually took a mental toll on me. There was no consideration as far as giving us some type of a break so that we can reevaluate and decompose ourselves, so just the location on its own was the negative part for me, but the company in general was absolutely amazing and I would not mind returning to this company at a different location
