This was going to be a career change, after 40 years in logistics, so I selected auto sales thinking that I liked these KIA cars so it shouldn't been a stretch to try and sell them.
Now mind you I had never sold anything in my life, except for the occasional promotional candy bar for Little League and the like.
I had studied my brains out through the KIA University web site and was KIA certified to sell the KIA car brand.
Having obtained my KIA certification, I had hoped that everything was a go at this point, but low and behold it wasn't meant to be. Their ethics and my ethics were not aligning no matter what I tried to do. As a matter of fact the exact reason I left was because of their insistence to me that I become ethically challenged and sell people over their head and put them in a car by which I knew and the dealership knew they would have been over their head in. So having said this, I guess the only recourse I had left at this point was to walk, scratch that, run away from the career change I had embarked on just a few weeks back, and look further into another career change, one that would be more ethically balanced so that I can sleep at night.

Well this is a sales position so it is what you make of it. Going through the ratings I gave. Job Work/Life Balance - This is not your Monday - Friday 9-5. You won't succeed working 40 hours a week so your gonna have to put in more work. Compensation/Benefits - It has 4/5 stars because the money is great but its mostly commission. You can't live off the salary and your first two+ weeks you won't be making much money. Job Security/Advancement - Job Security is very low but Advancement is very high. If you perform you can Advance quickly anywhere. If you don't, your on the chopping block. Management depends on where you go but you can always tell who the best managers are so theres no excuses. Culture is great.

If you have an entrepreneurial drive or a hustlers mentality; this job is for you. Only the strong survive in sales, not for the faint of heart. There is money to be made for those that want to put in the work to be the best. However, for those who are weak minded, and don’t have a drive to make money and able to roll with the punches of sometimes only receiving a draw check for the month(poverty; not enough to pay bills) then you will wash out and find an easier job. The turnover rate is high due to this. 

However, if you’re a hustler, and you can handle a little hard work and adversity, then you can make a lot of money working here. I love it. If you think you can handle it, go for it. 

I answered the phone, took messages and made multiple appointments. Responsible for the personal and business bookkeeping, accounting, and taxes for numerous companies and the companies' owners.Worked in a fast paced and busy office so I learned how to become an accurate and multi-tasked person, which I am extremely good at and enjoy very much. handled any problems that came up, and made sure that everything ran smoothly. I posted daily for each company their receipts and during tax time I also helped filing taxes for them and multiple others.

A typical day at work consisted of long hours, but they go by fast when you stay busy, race to the phone and race to serve customers. The hardest part of the job was to overcome any rejection, that is a part of sales, to keep a positive attitude no matter what is going on in your life.  The most enjoyable part of the job for me was capturing the attention of my customers in the demonstration, working alongside managers, then seeing my paycheck!  I also was selected to train new people.  What I learned is that, with enough determination to succeed, and the right opportunity, rewards do come!

I was sat down in front of a computer, then sent out on the floor, zero training on the processes. If I got even one little thing wrong, I was literally screamed and cussed at and sometimes in front of others. 

I was forced to ignore the customer's wishes or financial constraints and try to sell them on a car they couldn't afford and didn't want. If the customer, as they usually did, walked away without buying I was made to sit back for a few days and not approach customers, which made it impossible to meet my sale's goals and to make money for my family.

This place is terrible, leadership doesn't exist at all!!!!!

Questions are mostly scenario based. I felt that the experience in breadth of AEM and a bit of analytical skills certainly help to get them right. Do prepare for few weeks without looking for any shortcuts. It would help your AEM career. Depth of the subject as a developer may not be required for clearing this exam. Most of the questions were of single answer type. Few questions esp. on templates requires you to answer based on the exhibits (screen snaps) shown.

It was great in the beginning. Now it’s a train wreck. Management has no care for you. You are just a number, not a family. They take money from your pocket and expect you to work more. The owners are terrible and absent and only care about the sister store.  Parts department sucks. The order the wrong parts and blame you or they just straight up forget and say they are on back order. Health care is a joke so are your “raises”. If you enjoy being on your knees you might get a respectable raise

Sometimes customers need more information other then what they read un blogs

Great place to work at with people that understand what it takes to run a business 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy always have something to work on fast pace

Was able to complete a lot of training online [either at home or work]. Most other employees cleanup after themselves [no cleaning crew]. Advancement is almost non-existant and management could be a lot better. Overall atmosphere is very corporate feeling, trying to please higher-ups and customers way more than the treatment and fairness to the service employees.
