My experience with this company was disappointing due to a lack of transparency and communication during the training process. I was hired with the expectation of completing a training program that included a $500 bonus. However, I was terminated while still in training, with about a month remaining, and without any clear warning that my performance was at risk.I was not given a fair opportunity to improve or complete the program. Feedback was inconsistent, and evaluations were not always conducted by my direct manager, which made expectations unclear and difficult to meet. As a result, I was unable to complete training or receive the bonus, despite actively participating and making efforts to succeed. Overall, the process felt unfair and lacked the level of support and communication that would allow a trainee to improve and succeed.

I was excited to join the company given its strong reputation for culture and values. Unfortunately, my experience was impacted by limited onboarding support and communication challenges within my team. As a new EA stepping into a complex role, more structured guidance or reference materials would have made the transition smoother. While the organization overall has a strong brand and talented people, my experience highlights how important team-level support and leadership engagement are to employee success. I hope future hires have a more positive onboarding experience.

The typical day at work consisted of working from 9:00 AM to about 6:30 PM. My daily activities were reaching out to full time workers for anything that they needed assistance with, completing these tasks, and numerous other intern duties such as constructing folders and binders for that quarters financial statements. Management was exceptionally nice and really wanted their interns to succeed. Hardest part of the job was simply getting started, everyone was more than happy to help with anything an intern needed.

KKR is a boutique firm that has had tremendous growth over the last 10 years. There is definitely a culture of teamwork instilled in the employee base. Everyone will be happy to help any newcomers. The hardest part of the job can be the hours that you put in to be successful, but find that it can be well worth it monetarily. If you work hard and perform well, it will not go unnoticed.

Great company to work for, if your manager likes you. Otherwise, don’t even dream about getting promotion. Senior level employees are on edge, worries to lose their jobs at all times - either to be replaced by younger (cheaper) employee or jobs to be outsourced. Company motto is their employees are their biggest asset. That is far from the truth. To save money, they will lay off older more experience employees with very little package

A typical work day at KKR is nothing short of busy. The environment is friendly, teamwork oriented and the feel is a place of belonging. The benefits are amazing and overall a great place to have worked. Hardest part of the job is wondering if your department will be outsourced. Most enjoyable is working with teams that make you feel like a family.

I worked as a tax season consultant in KKR's private equity area of the firm. The management and staff were friendly, hardworking and most knowledgeable within their areas of expertise.
I enjoyed my the firm and gained greater experiences in foreign reporting and various private equity and hedge funds.

The staff is friendly and very diverse. It's a hectic place to work and can be fun when interacting with customers. Although the staff is constantly changing and it gets tough to know who's who and who does what.

While the company has great benefits like free meals daily, in terms of the work environment- there is a lack of patience on new hires who are often met with unrealistic expectations. Poor training and lack of support. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

not well defined expectations, poor communication from management, long hours. Pay is good but turnover is high. Cohesive culture and access to senior management but lacks diversity at senior levels and difficult to find mentorship and development
