What is the best part of working at the company?
The company truly promotes values of diversity and inclusion.

Great office locations and the company deserves its reputation as a good place to work.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Company strategy is tied to achieving revenue targets irrespective of market conditions or macro factors leading to dramatic swings in policy.
Corporate accounts that have grown significantly year on year never sustain that trajectory indefinitely, yet sales targets did not reflect this reality.
Under investment in some core areas is now affecting service levels on those platforms/products - customers have visibility to these failures.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Generally very positive and upbeat, celebrating wins and learning from losses is the norm.
Sadly those losses have impacted the company which is focusing on immediate short term revenue gains through price increases with larger customers cutting their use of a company 'masquerading' as a partner 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Identify possible targets, check CRM for background, follow up internally, approach externally, update CRM...rinse & repeat

Turn over every 3 to 6 months.   Alot of contractors without the structure needed to run IT and other crucial departments.  Everything functions on the overseas groups so be prepared no matter what to cater to THEIR time zone and not yours.  Turnover is common a minimum of 6 months, staff is always leaving.   C level's change ever 6 to 8 months.   No common processes in place.   Some entities better than others.  In the two years i was there i had 5 departmental heads.

As for those that leave, some leave by choice, some fired or forced into retirement others have left via an ambulance due to high stree.   If you like unnecessary stress, this is the place for you, if not seek a position else where.  No advancement opportunities, none no matter what they tell you.   Issue is with most of the departments this is not just an IT issue.    Get details of work hours and get it in writing if you have to take the job.

I believe the company has grown immensely and has many opportunities.
However, this growth can be better managed by investing more in employee development and coaching.
A stronger and more confident workforce I believe could be better achieved by placing less reliance on key-man risk and more interaction between back and front office operations and sales.
The addition of Russell Indexes, a company with an excellent culture and legacy of acquiring and nurturing great talent has been a very beneficial step in improving the corporate culture and creating a stronger base in the US.

I really like working there. My manager was right there for me and upper management was supportive during Covid. The big challenges they have outsourced almost everything to India. They were not all  LSEG employees so the commitment just isn’t there. The different companies and departments never spoke to each other. They just did not have the customer commitment. Eventually they moved pretty much all the roles in the US to India. I’m not sure I would work there. The companies they outsource to just don’t have the commitment. I was concerned with several of the processes including billing. It was kind of scary.  The pay is OK. Raises are minimal. 

Middle management is the absolute best! Everyone above them is grossly incompetent and either stuck in the 1990s, or stuck in the UK. They completely underpay here, by design. They moved their US HQ from NY/SEA to Ft. Mill so they could pay their employees less. Turns out though, Charlotte is right up the road and will pay you much much more. Turnover is laughable with analysts dropping like flies, and a low salary, hiring is slow to replace. Is quickly turning into an analyst farm, with almost everyone I know is planning on leaving with in the year. Not some place to call home long term.

Steady or busy 8a-5pm but not boring or overwhelming. 
Learned so much about PKI from colleagues.
Dept management was great and upper management was fair and would listen to employees.
Workplace culture was team oriented and business-first mentality.
Working help desk kept me busy and earning my paycheck.
Most enjoyable part of the job was staff meetings and everyone having their time to vent or just say what was on their mind AFTER actual business part of staff meeting.

LSEG has always been my dream company because my friends were so happy working there. However, when I got the chance to work here.. at first, I was in a cloud9 however as time goes by, workload became unreasonable because of high attrition. The accounts of the leavers were passed to us who are left in the team and the expectations are unrealistic knowing that the accounts we're handling have doubled. Anyway, I was still happy with my stay but I wish the management would look deeper on the real reason of high attrition in AMERS region.

I have been in sales for close to 20 years, and worked at several large companies and my experience at LSEG was easily the least pleasant.  I've never worked somewhere where customers were treated so poorly, and in shows in the retention rates at LSEG.   LSEG is the type of corporation that does yearly arbitrary firings of staff and this severely affected the quality of services and support for their products while I was at the company.  The compensation plan for lags other companies in the industry as well. 

Let's just say this: for being a member of the London Stock Exchange Group, this firm has a great name, great benefits and that's about it.  The pay is about $10-12K less than their peers and they offer little to no pay increases every year.  In regards to "Will I have a job or career here," unless you are a chosen one, this place is strictly to get job experience and then move on to a place that not only pays people their worth, but respects talent.

I recently started with Refinitiv. During my interview we talked about the exciting and interesting new work they were doing. This combined with a good benefits package was enough to seal the deal. But upon starting I discovered this exciting work was 2-3 years in the future and currently all work centered around legacy systems that we need to "keep the lights on". And all of these systems are at least a decade old if not older.
