Employed as secretary to the director of Environmental Services 
Department which includes daily census, preparing safety reports and all monthly and quarterly reports for the director to include infection control/emergency spill kit report/eyewash/personal protective equipment; preparing and displaying safety board in main lobby each month with varied topics including personal safety tips, to vacation safety, distracted driving, prevention of slip and falls, etc. 
I enjoy the environment as well as the co-workers on staff and get along well with all employees at this facility.  I have learned a lot in past 2 years about long-term care facilities and safety precautions for
for many different circumstances.  The most difficult part of the job is seeing the patients/residents that are in very poor health and in pain.
The most enjoyable part of the job is that I enjoy what I'm doing and I also enjoy being able to at least speak to some of the residents at the facility that are very lonely.  
I am a hard, dedicated worker and have worked in an office setting for over 40 years with constant contact with customers developing excellent customer service skills

I have my most current evaluation as well as letter of recommendation from current employer.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The patients getting to know them.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management and some of HR department are very un professional ,building ran by management pay sucks ,they don’t like to give well deserved raises.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is very messy, no one has a clue of what to do. Short staffed all the time. I feel for the patients that are there.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful on a daily basis ,management doesn’t know the meaning of teamwork, they dictate if your love one should go to doctor or not. If you have family there you must stay on management and nurses

I did not feel included many years ago.   Since then the management staff has changed over several times,  I  may want to give it a chance again. I do not think the pay is  a very strong motivator due to being payed at a level of CRT even as a RRT with tons of experience. They do not differentiate pay between the two. 
6 Staff members split work between 40 or less vents plus several trach patients.  Loved the work itself, changing trachs, vent checks, nebs and assessments. Hardest part is 12 hour shifts just being grueling as the management in the building does not like for anyone to take brakes or actually be in the brake room unless you are on an official break. Not much down time. You will be watched for this kind of thing. Nurses and RT do not get along very much and are also at odds.

Ceo shows us he appreciate ouro work performance...My co workers are loke my second family..The residents are the sweetiest elderly people you could ever meet..

When  transpotation doesnt show up on time for the residents appointments...

Everyone is very respectful to each other..And I would say team work as welle..

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Answering the phone on the unit..schedule doctor appointments as well as scheduling mri or ct scans ...fax consults to doctor office...order sentara

I worked at Lake Taylor for two months as my first nursing job. Half of those two months were training, but it was so chaotic majority of the time that I didn’t learn hardly anything. The second day I was on my own, they gave me a whole hallway of 25 sick, elderly patients. I was so overwhelmed, and it was super unsafe for them to delegate that to me.

I finally quit because I thought I had covid and got a PCR test. They wanted me to come in when I still had a fever and my covid test hadn’t come back yet. I wasn’t gonna be the one to bring covid to a whole unit of elderly people, so I left.

Typical day consisted of treating clients under the supervision of a COTA/L and OTR/L. Clinical conditions treated included post surgery rehab, dementia, and post stroke rehab. Client treatment sessions were documented daily using SOAP note format, progress notes were written after every 10 treatment sessions, and clients and their caregivers were instructed on transition in preparation for discharge.This experience involved learning to provide effective communication with clients, their caregivers, and other members of the client's multi-disciplinary team.

I started working here shortly after receiving my LPN license. A few months later I dedcied to go PRN and that I needed to go back to school ASAP Working here was just the amount of motivation I needed when I graduated this summer for my RN. No staff mainly agency nurses working. Hard to get time off due to the short staff. No cell phone policy you must go outside in the courtyard to use your phone. Mostly father time rules as if they are running the building like the stone ages. Hopefully time will pass and individuals will retire and young, upbeat, new policies, and procedures will be made. 

The orientation on the floor was terrible.  That's not just coming from me, but from my entire class. The people they assign to train you on the floor are mostly toxic and hurtful.  They will shame you for any lack of knowledge you possess, and will try everything they can to put all the work on you even if you don't feel ready.  Some of the nurses have been there for over 30 years and they eat their young like I've never seen in my entire career.
The DON was amazing.  She was helpful and kind.  She wasn't afraid to get on the floor and help out with staffing issues.  The staffing issues were pretty bad.

The employee's and the beautiful  people  that comes  to visit  loved one's and the patients.

When sone of the team players don't  do their  part

Very  laid back, lots of team players,  and overtime  people  helping each other 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
With my training when coming  to work  I just go t o my station  and start my day and I know  what to do.

It provide all the resources for you to grow within the company

None the work.is work and every job in the world comes with stress you just have to deal with it

Very diverse ,friendly, team work driven .

It has its days where it is busy and sometimes very calm
