I have been with the company since the near beginning.  They have worked diligently to offer all employees an environment in which they can thrive in.   They have nurtured my unique skill set and set me on a path that leads to success and will work as hard as I do to make my dreams come true.  I feel valued and am financially compensated in a way expresses their gratitude for all of my effort and sacrafice.  They recognize my hard work and dedication and they more than match it. They provide me with wonderful benefits that allow me to live a healthy life beyond work.  I became ill at the beginning of 2021 and not one single time did they make my burden heavier;  they lightened my load.  I never feared being replaced or questioned if I would have a seat at the table on the other side of my trials.  More importantly they have grown to become a mission that I am proud to be a part of.  Quality of care for patients is the number one priority.  Individualized care is not extended to the clients alone but the staff as well.  Landmark goes above and beyond to save lives. I have witnessed this first hand.  I not only feel loved, I am loved at Landmark.  I know if they can make me feel this safe, they are providing our patients with and environment that they too are safe in.  Thank you Landmark. I have had front row seats to our development as a company and it has been as beautiful as watching a butterfly emerge from a caccoon.  I am grateful.  I can not thank you enough.  The only thing I would add is a Kaizen incentive program.   Many ideas have not been heard by the laymen.  

I've been working at Landmark Recovery for years now, and I can honestly say it's been the most rewarding and fulfilling experience of my career. From the moment I joined, I was impressed by the company's commitment to not only delivering exceptional results but also fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Let's start with the people. My colleagues are not just coworkers, they're a team I genuinely enjoy working with. Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable in their respective fields, but more importantly, they are always willing to lend a hand, share their expertise, and offer encouragement. The atmosphere is one of constant learning and growth, driven by a genuine desire to see each other succeed. I've never felt afraid to ask questions or voice my opinions, knowing that I'll be met with respect and thoughtful consideration.

Beyond the individual talent, management is exceptional. They truly understand the importance of investing in their employees. I've benefited from numerous opportunities for professional development. This commitment to growth makes you feel valued and empowered to contribute your best work. Furthermore, they prioritize open communication, ensuring everyone is informed and aligned with the company's goals.

The workplace itself is thoughtfully designed and conducive to productivity. It's clear that a lot of consideration has been given to creating an environment that fosters creativity and efficiency. Beyond the physical space, Landmark Recovery actively promotes a healthy work-life balance.

I had a lot of great coworkers, and there are a ton of people who work at the facility who were wonderful, compassionate people. But few other things are good about this job. The benefits used to be really good, but what made the benefits package so amazing went away this year. Policies and procedures change a lot, and the changes seem capricious. Turnover is crazy high and line staff continue to be expected to do more and more with less and less (more tasks, increased job duties, etc. with fewer staff and smaller budgets). The facility can't find a good Executive Director, or even any ED who will stay long-term. The company CEO sends out long, rambling emails company-wide after midnight. He seems to prioritize growth and pushes to open new facilities a lot more than supporting the facilities that are already open. There have been several "shake ups" in upper management over the past couple of years, and it seems to be a really fear-based culture now. A typical day at work usually involves having many more things you need to get done than time to do them (much less do them well). I ended up doing whatever task management seemed to prioritize that day, instead of the tasks that were most valuable to the patients or my teammates. It got to be too exhausting, and I didn't like feeling that I couldn't wait for my workday to be over because of the stress.

Do you want to be respected, appreciated, and treated fairly in your workplace? Then landmark is NOT the place for you. Management is awful here, the lack of communication is the worst I’ve ever seen in a “business”, and most importantly patients are treated like garbage by 99% of the staff that work here. This place is nothing more than a money hungry facility. They feed grown adults portions you would feed a child, no empathy is shown to any of the patients, and you’ll be working stressed and extremely short staffed every single day. Theirs a good reason they can’t keep employees here, just within the 2 months I worked there I have seen more people leave this place than be hired. I loved my job as I was able to help people and had that sense that I was appreciated by patients, but the patients are the only good thing that came out of my days here. You will be talked down on, looked down on, and only things
You do wrong will be pointed out. Management does not show appreciation to anyone, even if you work 21 hour shifts. 

I worked for this company twice. I loved it the first time. I still think highly of the company as a whole as well as the COO. They pay more than what most companies in this area pay. The main problem with this company is that they have people in leadership roles who should not be. They have grown a lot, like another reviewer said, causing them to lose sight of the original culture. This can be a great job depending on what department you work. Some departments have great managers who are motivating and support their employees. The department I worked in did not have a positive, supportive manager and she would put down and scold some of her employees like children. The job itself was not hard or even stressful but due to this manager’s attitude and outbursts, it became very stressful to the point you would feel like you are walking on eggshells. I was never kept abreast of information that would have to do with my position nor was I given all the tools I needed to do my job. All in all it can be a great place to work and most of the people there are warm and friendly.

Ive had the pleasure of working alongside the incredible team at Landmark Recovery  and I can honestly say that they are some of the most dedicated and compassionate professionals Ive ever encountered. Every day I see firsthand how committed the staff is to providing the best care possible for our clients. From the medical team to our therapists case managers and support staff everyone truly goes above and beyond to create a safe supportive  and healing environment. What stands out the most is the genuine empathy they show each individual  making sure that every patient feels heard understood and empowered on their journey to recovery. Its not just about the treatment planits about building real connections and supporting each person as they work towards lasting change. Im proud to be part of such a fantastic team and I have no doubt that our clients are in the best hands possible

What is the best part of working at the company?
The employees that I worked with and patients/clientele that were being treated.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The C-Suite/CEO constantly changing the company structure and the way clientele/patients were to be treated. How employees were handled/treated. Not knowing if you would have benefits from week to week or be paid.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Mentally draining. A dictatorship. Stressful.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Unknown from day to day if you would be belittled in front of coworkers.  Possibly receiving an email from the CEO to the company as a whole referring to us as “bunnies” with insults and profanity. Demands to function as gladiators against randomly named state and government officials whom are now listed as enemy #1, that we as employees are to target with complaint letters and focus on getting fired.

Working here as been chaotic. Each unit is mostly clique’d up and will view you as an outsider if you’re not in recovery. There are policies broken many times without repercussions, however, if you are an outsider, you will be reprimanded and most of the staff will be aware of that. Very unprofessional. The ratio is unsafe but management is unwilling to do anything. Yes, the pay is nice. However, it is not worth the headache and possibility of losing your license due to the unsafe practices. Landmark gets away with a lot since they aren’t technically a hospital or healthcare facility. The DON is great but staffing and retention is a problem in the facility. They expect you to bend backwards with no promising incentive or differential. The facility looks awful and things break down with no date to fix the problem. Be mindful if you decide to work here as a nurse and document to protect yourself. 

I have worked in recovery before and this place is horrible. They have no idea how to help patients get/stay sober. Corporate office is in another state and most of the practitioners are not certified to dispense most of the medications needed, so patients may wait for hours before they get their needed medication. Then they blame it on staff. Management allows patients to control the facility. There is no accountability or structure for the patients. Staff responsible for enforcing the rules are reprimanded for doing their jobs. Posted rules were never enforced and when staff would voice their concerns, the rules were taken down. Intake process lies to patients about what the facility has (I.e. pool, yoga, weight room). Intake sends patients to the facility with medical issues that can not be treated on-site. Mental health issues are not being properly treated. Intake tells patients to be inebriated before showing up to the facility. The cons of this company outweigh the pros X100.

This company has incompetent people running the facility. People with ZERO clinical background is an ED. The AED is NOT very well educated to be in that position. The work life balance is HORRIBLE!! Forget about days/time off. The expectations are unrealistic in this facility. I LOVE the clinical program that’s provided for all the clients. The therapists expectations of a typical work day is unrealistic thus place will RUN you in the ground. They run a SKELETON crew with the expectations that each client gets proper therapeutic services. They expect individual therapists to do groups & bill as individuals They will “awe” you in the beginning. Be VERY careful and keep the “enemies” close because you WILL get stabbed in the back!  If you ARE NOT in active recovery you’re not with the “in” crowd. They will take into consideration if your family member was/is addict.
