The workload is completely detached from reality. Senior management has no understanding of the actual work that needs to be done and operates under the assumption that AI allows one person to handle the work of three, then reacts with bewilderment or outright hostility when that proves impossible.

Don't bother learning your coworkers names. The revolving door moves fast enough to double as the office air conditioner. Burnout is inevitable no matter how motivated you are walking in.

There is little regard for the integrity of the work itself or the actual human beings on the other side of that paperwork. If you have a functional moral compass you will spend your entire time here feeling deeply compromised and distressed.

Bonuses were cancelled midway through the first quarter. The explanation initially was they hadn't developed a fair system yet, and that we were motivated by passion rather than compensation...... Partners are focused solely on volume and revenue, treating staff as disposable cogs in a fundamentally broken, high turnover machine.

Senior management needs to check its ego at the door. Keeping staff confused and in the dark on critical decisions doesn't make leadership look visionary, it guarantees the same chaotic results. The people managing the workload understand the bottlenecks. You will never hear real feedback in meetings where HR is standing behind staff like a firing squad. Step outside the echo chamber and listen when employees tell you there is a problem.

The best part about working in Case Management at Hiller Comerford is the ability to impact so many people on a day to day basis. For that reason, this job is extremely rewarding. So many people fighting for disability are exhausted, in pain, scared and alone, and they just need someone to advocate for them and to let them know that someone has their back. Every day when I go home, I am satisfied to know that to the best of my ability,  I was kind and offered as much as support as I am able to give to each client I spoke to that day. The most meaningful job in this world (in my opinion) is one where you can impact others in a positive way, and this job absolutely provides that. While the volume is extremely high and the workload is often too heavy to comfortably manage, things usually taper off for a bit before you get slammed with work again, and on the positive end this makes the day go by extremely fast. It is obvious that your supervisors care and want you to succeed at what you do which is a great plus. If you care about others, want to meaningful responsibilities, want to enjoy your work-day and are a skilled communicated and with computers, you will find your flow here. Also, pretty much everyone who works here is very nice and pleasant to be around, which you will not find at most workplaces.

I've worked for Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability Law for a little more than a year. I started in the Medical Records Department, and was promoted to Case Management this past March. I call and email clients and various departments within the Social Security Administration to ensure the clients' cases are up to date and everything runs smoothly in every stage of their disability claim. I have learned everything about the disability process, especially how hard it is for people to get approved for benefits. Management and my coworkers have been patient with me and all of my questions, extremely informative and helpful. Everyone here is so supportive and want to see you succeed and care immensely about the work they do. Management not only cares about their clients but also cares about their employees. I've never worked with so many compassionate and empathetic people. The hardest part of the job is hearing the struggles the clients face on a daily basis. It makes me work harder to make sure I am doing everything I can to ensure the process of receiving benefits goes as smoothly as possible. The most enjoyable part of the job is working alongside other like-minded, hard working individuals and feeling like my work is purposeful. I can bring hope to people who are living what may be the worst part of their lives. It has been a joy to work at Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability Law! If you have the gift of compassion, and can work hard to make a small part of other people's lives better, this job is for you!

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working here felt like constantly being evaluated but rarely recognized. Positive contributions often went unnoticed, while mistakes either real OR assumed were called out quickly, sometimes without full context or proper due diligence. The workload was consistently high, and while there was mention of growth opportunities, upward mobility felt more theoretical than attainable. Advancement from within was talked about, but in practice, difficult to achieve. Direct supervisors were supportive and understanding, but higher-level management often made decisions about roles they didn’t have firsthand experience in, which created disconnects in expectations and execution. Overall, the environment felt heavily driven by metrics and bottom-line outcomes, often  at the expense of employee  morale.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Heavy workload with high expectations and limited support. Responsibilities often exceeded what felt reasonable for the role, and priorities could shift without clear guidance, making it difficult to manage tasks effectively.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is very task focused, with little opportunity to connect with coworkers due to the constant workload. This can make the culture feel more isolating than collaborative.

I am grateful for the experience and the opportunity to work at Hiller Comerford Injury & Disability. I gained valuable legal skills during my time there. However, my overall experience with the workplace culture was mixed. There appeared to be a strong sense of favoritism at times, and communication from management could be inconsistent, particularly around performance expectations and feedback. HR is very amenable for instances and situations that pop up, which is nice. Also the office environment often felt impacted by a high level of hypocritical gossip. Management discourages gossip, but promotes the team leads who participate in it the most. Employee turnover also seemed relatively frequent, which added to a sense of instability in the workplace. Best advise not to get too close to someone, as firing is imminent. Additionally, the firm is moving towards an AI-forward approach, which leads to job insecurity, and squandering of creative problem solving. While I am appreciative of what I learned there, I believe the office could benefit from improved communication, consistency in management practices, and a more professional workplace culture.

This firm is very busy and fast paced due to the extremely high volume. It can be overwhelming for some so this is firm is not for the weak.  

Generally, a great place to work but it has days when it is extremely stressful. You have to be able to retain a lot of information, you have to be highly efficient, organized and be able to work on a team. 

It's a medium size firm so of course there are some bad apples but overall, everyone gets along great.  The few that like to gossip about others do create a very negative atmosphere but if you make management aware of it, they will try to nip it in the bud. 

It has a typical turnover rate since some leave to go to school or for higher paying jobs. Others are terminated for reasons unknown to us but we can only speculate that it was due to poor performance or other negativity created by the former employee themselves.

A typical day at work is to make sure all medical records are in for the Lawyer to present to judge. 
I have learned that you can not always get the medical records in for the client on a timely fashion which was very rare for me as I took my job very serious and to full length. 
Management is very good always looking forward to do a better job than we already are very good a problem solving. 
The hardest part of the job was not getting thru to the doctors offices for information for the client or not returning my phone calls.
The most enjoyable part of my job was getting all the medical records in for the client and the lawyer for the case to be presented and hope for a good out come.

Nothing is  worth the stress, time, energy, etc. The list goes on. Management is extremely poor and good luck actually receiving the help you need. Long term issues that keep repeating will never be fixed, they will let you drown and drown and act like they care, but do nothing to change/prevent it. The coworkers, PTO, and holidays are the only good part of working for this firm, but again, it’s just not worth it. I left that place and ever since I feel a weight lifted off my shoulders. I would rather work with less pay and less PTO but be happy. Oh! And the lack of communication they give to the clients (because the case managers are always slammed, under appreciated and overworked) will make you feel horrible.

The  turnover rate for the intake department is extremely high. You get told to ask for help when you are overwhelmed or behind, but you do not get the help that you need, and get penalized for that. every department has it's issues, but the intake department got it the  worst.
All of the pressure that goes onto the team is not recognized. All they care about is numbers and how many intakes you get done. Management does not understand that  the intake staff cannot control who answers their phones, or when the prospect is available to do the intakes. 
I would not recommend working here, especially in the intake department if you want to constantly be fearful of not having a job, because of your numbers. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
I overall enjoy working for this law firm. They are very good with maintaining a work and life balance. I highly enjoy having my own office and an hour break. As for the work load it is high but it makes the day go by fast. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The work load can be heavy at times. But there is always support from the team and questions are encouraged! 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Everyone is very nice and willing to help anyone out. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I am at my desk for most of my day. I will be on the computer or making calls to clients.
