In my experience at Legend it has been really ,really stressful. First there has never been enough staff to cover shifts. Secondly, there is so many people who don't do their job and still get paid more than everyone else . There is employees who work there that have twenty plus experience and they are making ten dollars and some change . This is not fair because they come in already knowing how to take care of residents  and they are good . People who do work are treated badly and are under paid and are expected to pick up the slack of the slackers . 
So many people come to work and get free money till it isn't funny . I worked really hard to complete all tasks . For some reason that still isn't enough . Also, a lot of times on the night shift there is only to people working in that entire building . Because the morning shift comes in so late instead of being there on time management has made the night shift do a lot of there tasks . 
 Second shift is short as well with only three people working some times . Some of the employees refuse to work when they are short and will just sit on their bottoms and do nothing . Working short all the time  makes it next to impossible to complete all tasks especially when you have lots of residents calling you with no help .
First shift so many times is extra short with no one to come and relive the night shift . I think this place needs more employees who show up for work on time and ready to work .  I feel like employees are not being treated fairly here because employees are expected to do so much with so little . Also , if someone  needs a little more of a flexible schedule management refuse to work with them .
 Instead management just letting them go when employees are already almost non existent . The turn over rate here for associates and management is outstanding . If an employee stay here for just two months they will see so many people get hired and quit .
 I know people who were just hired they said not enough employees , too much work for so little employees  and the pay sucks. those employees quit only after two weeks to a month some only last one week if that long .  There is a serious problem here and I don't think management is trying to get to the root of the problem .
 It cost more to hire and train employees than it does to pay them right ,treat them right and ty to keep them . This strategy will help all the over head that is constantly effected by all of the hiring and then quitting .

First of all, I really liked this job, it was a whole new experience for me; especially for a thrive to work in the health care field. The co-workers were very friendly, they respected me and all but, some of the co-workers acted like they were the boss... now I understand that you been there longer than me but, doesn't mean you need to be up under my butt247 telling me what to do while you sit there and be lazy! some of the co workers were plain out LAZY! and management would get all these reports and complaints but, don't do one thing about it. speaking of management, they allowed favoritism to the max, my schedule was all messed up and I would constantly contact management but, they wouldn't even do anything about it, I was literally not getting any hrs …. like how was I going to live off of a $200 and sometimes less paycheck when I got bills to pay. now the residents were my favorite of all, but there was one lady that had her way with manipulation and being a kisser upper to management, and ugh it was a hot mess. like I understand how hard some residents could be, and I understand that they went through a lot and had their lives changed due to disabilities, loss, and other tragedies... but, as a resident aide we are here to help you and give you what you need and I only had a problem with one resident till the point it was just too much and so much time can be taken away and less work done. this job was just too stressful to get paid such little for the large  workload was ridiculous the nurses could care less on how much of a work load you had knowing it was just too much. like one of the biggest things I didn't like about this job was how selfish and lazy other people were, no body wanted to act like a team instead everyone was too busy gossiping about each other and being lazy, instead of not helping each other and still keeping that professionalism at work. I left this job due to the fact that I was underpaid for dealing with a crazy amount of workload there was, place didn't value the word "team", people take advantage of you like crazy, lack of professionalism, and I wanted something better than that and I knew I could get better.

I made the biggest mistake of my life choosing to work here.  Management are bullies and apparently this is not a new issue, given the negative reviews spanning several states.  It's amazing how closely a lot of them mirror my own personal experiences.  Shame that Legend has not taken all of these peoples' concerns seriously, because these problems are continuing to happen even at BRAND NEW locations! 

Management loves to set you up for failure by giving you lackluster training and then expects you to know how to respond to situations you never encountered before. Then if you don't do them right they will yell at you, even though it isn't your fault.  One day, they might tell you to handle a call a certain way, but the next day they expect a different solution.  They will not tell you this, then get angry when you're just trying to do what you're told. I am not a mind reader!  I understand that management has lots to deal with each day but that's no reason to treat employees so poorly. I saw many people quit during my time at Legend, some not even bothering to show up for their shifts, and I honestly can't say I blame them. When you aren't given proper respect by higher ups, who would want to stay?

The only decent part of my time working there was getting to meet and form friendships with some of the residents.  There were certain people that I looked forward to seeing each day.  Unfortunately, the sense of dread I felt going into work every morning outweighed any positives.  It's sad when you get sick to your stomach right before you have to clock in.

As a company, Legend really needs to take a closer look at these issues because it seems like they don't give two hoots about it if it's continuing to happen at new facilities. I will not be recommending this place to anyone I know, including possible future residents.

Working as a CNA/Med Tech, I truly love what I do. The most rewarding part of my job is building relationships with residents and knowing I’m making a positive impact in their daily lives. That part of the work is meaningful and something I take pride in every day.
That being said, my experience with the company itself has been more challenging. There often feels like a stronger focus on profit over people, which impacts both staff and residents. Staffing levels are frequently not where they need to be, yet expectations for high-quality care remain very high. This creates an environment that can feel unrealistic and, at times, unsustainable.
There also seems to be a lack of accountability for poor performance, while employees who consistently do their jobs well don’t receive much support or recognition. When acknowledgment does happen, it can feel generic rather than genuine, which makes it less meaningful.
Most importantly, I’ve seen how this affects residents. Some have expressed feeling unheard or unimportant, as though their concerns don’t carry the weight they should. That’s difficult to witness, especially in a field where care and dignity should always come first.
Overall, while I am passionate about my role and the care I provide, I believe there are opportunities for the organization to better support both staff and residents by prioritizing people, improving staffing, and fostering a more engaged and accountable work environment.

Sadly, I love my job but I cannot work with the lack of support from upper management (outside of my building). I was running an entire department by myself for 2 months and I was told to “stretch” myself more, even after coming in early and staying late. 
Disrespectful, lazy, incompetent, and joy-less staff stays employed just to have a body on the floor. Signs of neglect (that have resulted in death), bruising on the most vulnerable residents, and regularly soiled beds/residents are a result of this. Poor staff will not be fired in order to not pay severance.
Upper management has been reached out to for more dementia training and support. We have lost many good employees because nothing has been done.
Its obvious that the main goal is to fill the pockets of the CEO instead of making sure staff is well paid. Gifts of donuts and pizza do not make up for the lack of appreciation. The business is run by 1 man and his children trying to make 20-30 different facilities across the United States cookie cutter facilities. High expectations and little support, with a large focus of job productivity being based on sales (and how good it looks to visitors and potential residents). 
I would not let a family member live in the same building I work in. 
Awful benefits, $350 a paycheck for me and my spouse with a $12,700 deductible. 

I have worked here for a long time and honestly can't think of the words to describe what a terrible nightmare it has been. We have the highest turnover rate in retirement communities in Norman, they run off good employees, and the assisted living is more like a nursing home. Out of 43 residents we currently have, only 12 are able to lift themselves. They take anyone who can pay the money to stay, and even those who can't because they'll suck them dry and won't stop. Every single manager is only there for the money. They will walk right by a resident screaming for help without giving them a first glance. They cut hours and checks then tell you it's your fault, they force you leave and make others work by themselves just so they done have to pay you overtime. Every 6-7 months all the managers who were there are now gone and we will go months without having anyone. In almost three years, we have gone through 12 directors. When you try to talk to one of them, them blow you off then blame and yell at you for never telling them. They treat people like absolute dirt and we all work to the bone for almost no pay. Most of our cnas make less than anyone else. Long story short, please do not waste your time here. This place will never change. We've also had the worst case of roaches I've ever seen for 6 years straight, and they have NEVER called an exterminator because of how cheap they are. Smh.

Management is very unappreciative of the employees who work hard and been in the company for a while.
They ask to provide feedback and suggestions for improvement and also employee can make anonymous phone call but that's NOT TRUE they will throw you under the bus. (if you call they will connect you right away with your manager).
All they care is about $$$$ charging the residents for every single thing and paying the employees not fairly and for sure paying the management much better (they not even pick up a single paper from the floor, they just call a employee right away).
Legend can't even give the employees a christmas gift , they ask for donations to the residents and family members that way they can received something (even for management).
Corporate doesn't care because if they can't see in the payroll or HR history how many employees they hired and how many quit every single month they are just not care about it.
Their background check is not the best.
Soonest Corporate going to visit the place everyone runs and now the management is so sweet .
Corporate just go for 5 minutes and everything is fine (employees can't said nothing bad).
Their hiring process is Not good at all..

DO NOT WORK HERE. The windsor of cape coral is not a good work enviornment! Management does not treat their employees with respect! They talk about employees behind their back! I was there for a few years and never had a problem until new management took over! They constantly have a turn over of staff. When We were short staffed they didn’t come to help out on the floor.  When they did hire staff, they never stayed either because of the hostility and or not having enough training! Also one staff member is forced to do the work of what three people should be doing.. It is a very hostile work environment. Management had also created a shift rivalry. When you speak to corporate about the issues or concerns you have, NOTHING gets done about the problem. They just blow you off. Residents had break down because 3rd shift were forced to get them up before morning shift got there in the morning. I always would stay when first shift was short to help and they never changed residents in their memory care unit until before lunch. So residents were just sitting in urine and feces.  And management never went back there. Apparently skin integrity isnt a concern to the nursing facility.. who would have thought.

Inadequate Work-Life Balance and Burnout: 
The organization suffers from a severe lack of staff retention. This creates an over-reliance on new hires, who are quickly exhausted by excessive overtime. 

Unpredictable Performance Metrics:
Management utilizes “Legend Standard" as a moving target rather than a transparent benchmark. Instead of serving as a tool for development, it is used punitively to diminish employee accomplishments and shift expectations unpredictably.

Ineffective Leadership and Micromanagement: 
The Regional Director's management style relies on intimidation and counterproductive micromanagement rather than constructive leadership. She lacks the capacity to train or teach staff. Her instructional method consists of quizzing employees, only to reject their answers without providing actionable guidance. Furthermore, her presence in the community creates a culture of fear, characterized by constant, minor criticism regarding daily operational details rather than strategic support.

The work environment at this facility has been declining for quite a while. The management seems to only care about their paycheck, especially the corporate members of the company. There is little interaction on their part with the residents despite their titles. Favorites are definitely a huge factor for them and many are not faced with the consequences of their actions (extreme and unreasonable tardiness, neglecting residents, and not being “in the work,” etc.). The staff turnover rate has increased tremendously lately due to these conditions. The staff runs low most days and no true attempt to fill this gap is made, whether that be through staff retention or rewards for oncoming members. This results in overworking and burnout rather quickly for most of the full time employees that are **literally** pressured to pick up more shifts, and even asked to switch from their preselected and desired shift time to a new slot without any regard for their own schedules. Residents rarely receive the highest quality care that they deserve because of these standards, and many of the residents don’t even belong in this “Assisted Living” residence.
