This place is an absolute nightmare do not buy do not work here. The work loads are sickening. They try to pass of an AI like its a real human being. They really don't want to service the customers but want the money. They play very loose with insurance.They will tell you to watch a video on YouTube about all the reason they are different when in fact they are doing all of the horrible things. Management is micro Management. The chats and emails are just you having conversations in circles.  They use macros to talk to people because they dont know how to talk insurance to customers. I regrets getting this job and cannot waiting to run away it's like being in a relationship with someone you don't like but your stuck with them. If your are and insurance professional who is licensed with goals do not come here please run, go to claims,underwriting, or do service elsewhere, go to an agency but i am begging you stay away from this hellhole.

This company leans on calling themselves a "start-up" as the reason they mistreat their employees and change expectations on a daily basis. 
Benefits promised at the start of the job are then all taken away within 3-6 months of hire. 
People in management did not get their positions based on skill level, but rather how well they fit into the clique. 
Make sure to be open-minded or share the leadership's point of view because you will hear weekly meetings on their anti-gun, pro-vaccine, and other company stances. 
Don't expect compassion or a work-life balance from this company. Most employees are salary for a reason. 
If you want to be getting a sense of gratification from your work or helping people, then this is not the right job for you. You will be groomed to NOT reimburse policyholders using any small loophole in the policy wording or internal stipulations. Then they make you call the policyholder to discuss the determination (that you may or may not agree with) over the phone.

My time at Lemonade lasted 6 months, and I was praised for the work I did until it wasn’t enough. They singled me out and had me working a shift that no one else was working and when it came time that they realized it was unfair to me (management apologized to me), they decided to hold meetings about eliminating the role completely and ended up eliminating me after that week of meetings. I was under the impression that I would at least know or be given a heads up if I was going to be released from the company, but it came as a surprise as soon as I logged in for work. All sense of “family” friendly vibes from my manager was gone as soon as he decided to let me go and he wished me luck without much emotion. Horrible experience honestly, never experienced this before until this company.

There is an option to be fully remote.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of communication and consistency from upper leadership. No availability for advancement.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Constantly changing and workload continues to increase for customer facing roles while manager provide no support.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Handling claims and being a call center.

Lemonade pretends to care about their employees by having office events/happy hours, sending you care packages and having cool office spaces. In reality, they will walk back on promises and be evasive when answering questions, lack transparency (even though they pride themselves in being transparent), and will lay you off in a heartbeat. We recently acquired another insurance company and those employees were told throughout the entire process, all jobs would be protected. On the day the deal closed, LMND laid off over 20% of their staff. Trust is earned and they have yet to earn mine. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
This is an amazing company! Everyone is awesome! I've been here 5 months and it just keeps getting better!

The occasional customer that can't be satisfied.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Supportive and caring.  They want you to succeed!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Answering phones and emails, weekly team meetings, weekly one-on-ones that are constructive!

The positives become irrelevant when job security is not on the table. Surprise mass lay-offs (over 20 people at a time) are life altering in the worst way, and so I can’t appreciate or hype up a company who has no problem with negatively affecting the quality of life employee’s as well as their children by severing ties with multiple talented and committed employees at once with zero notice or compassion.

When I first started working for Lemonade, employees were treated well. When I left, many of my CX team members were suffering burn-out and feeling hopeless because new leadership lacked empathy and the inexperienced middle managers didn't know how to push back on ridiculous policies or stand up for their teams. 

Great company as far a benefits, gifts, equipment.  Horrible company as far as support, management, training.  Literally had very little training, once I started I had no support, and the QA team just ridiculed my every move.  Everything was perfect in the beginning then it all turned within a month.  

answering back to back calls, chats, and emails.  Breaks are fair and lunches are an hours.  Work life balance is working pretty well.  Gives sick time and PTO allowances which are pretty good.
