The work at Liberty does often feel rewarding, as there is some potential to make a difference in patient outcomes. The daily tasks change frequently and things can feel dynamic. 

Things learned
The majority of your coworkers at Liberty are really interesting people and it's easy to learn about the work others are doing. 

Management
The senior management team leans heavily on a country-club & favoritism approach to leadership, and it can feel more like a fraternity than anything at times. Don't expect your boss to be particularly interested in your career or to inspire you to grow. Also, rules and policies seem to vary wildly based on whether your boss likes you. 

Culture 
Some of the coworkers are extremely nice! You may occasionally hear managers mocking some of their low performing employees, which can feel uncomfortable. I've also seen higher turnover/employee churn on my team here than at any other office I've worked at. 

The hardest part of the job is the fact that such a large customer base means that there are so many one offs and exceptions to the normal procedures. It can be challenging but rewarding. 

The best part of the job is the monthly snack catering that the company provides-- think nothing Bundt cakes, cookie deliveries, etc. 

Liberty Software is a place where you can take the initiative and grow your career. It's not always possible to be promoted but just being involved with a growing software company such as this one was important to me. If you can show that you're willing to take the initiate and operate with the minimum necessary direction then I think you can do pretty well here.

One of the biggest challenges at Liberty are essentially the lack of structure when it comes to training and documentation, and it takes constant effort to not only make management aware of these issues but also suggesting solutions for them. Not everyone will find that this is for them. The company seems to rely on people becoming knowledgeable of its products and for everyone to share that knowledge.

A strength of this company, which I personally also consider a bare minimum, are people's willingness to work with each other. Everyone really tries to answer each other's questions and are great to work with. 

The client services team is fast paced and challenging work. They try to warn you during the hiring process, but there is so much to learn in the beginning it can be overwhelming. Stick with it though because they try to provide every type of training they can to get you up to speed. Self paced video trainings, and sandbox versions of the software, they have you shadow several existing employees and then the employees and even managers shadow you to walk you through the types of calls you will get. There are tons of knowledge base articles to learn from, and everyone is so helpful and they encourage lots of questions to the managers and also in teams chats. My biggest piece of advice would be to just come in with an open mind and be willing to learn, then opportunities for growth can come after the foundation is laid. They are growing fast and creating new positions, they like to promote from within. They welcome feedback and you can tell they care about their employees and their customers.

This is a fantastic company to work for, the learning opportunities are endless, and the people are amazing.  Management is actively working to help you thrive and succeed, the amount caring and support is over the top.  I would say the hardest part for me has been the change of it all (from old job to this new job), but everyone has been so helpful in helping me adjust, I have had zero difficulties.  
The most enjoyable part of this job is walking through the doors and knowing without a doubt that I have a team of people here to help in whatever the task may be.  Everyone is so encouraging and easy to work with, from my first call with HR and every step in between, I couldn't have hand picked a better team of people to work with.  

Liberty is a great company to work for. It’s very rewarding to be part of a fast growing tech company that supports both the healthcare industry and small businesses.
The managers care passionately about their employees and really want everyone to succeed. There is a lot to keep up with because it is very fast paced, but they are constantly sending out information and ongoing trainings about changes. The managers provide employees with a lot of tools to find information for themselves and are also willing to help answer questions when needed, so if you are highly self motivated you are likely to do really well.

They host fun company events, sometimes they buy lunch for everyone, there are always free snacks, the benefits are fantastic, and the work is really rewarding. 

Liberty has been growing rapidly and there are tons of great opportunities. When COVID-19 hit, the company quickly adjusted to let employees work from home or in the office with safety precautions. Management actually cares about your well-being which is refreshing. 

The company really values taking care of their customers too. The work you do here impacts thousands of pharmacies, which in turn impacts tens of thousands of their patients. I think that's really great. 

They also have a great benefits package with 401k matching, great insurance plans, HSA options, and several other nice-to-haves. 

As it is with any growing company, there is always work to be done, but hard work gets recognized.

A typical work day for me is 7 - 4.  Currently going through training but after 3 months I will be allowed to have a Hybrid work schedule. Management is very open door and available for any questions I have had so far.  Everyone in the building is very approachable. Work culture is laid back, casual dress in the office. The hardest part of the job for me is learning the world of pharmaceuticals.  But this is also the most enjoyable part of my job because I see it as a great opportunity to learn something new. The application I support has a lot of moving parts so there is not a shorting of things to learn. 

Will start with the positives. Pretty good benefits. Learn a lot. Some good co-workers. They don't micromanage if you are good at your job.
Cons are that top level execs/managers do not recognize or value talent. The top feel that a degree is the only thing that matters. Even if it's a degree in basket weaving and you are a terrible worker, they will value you. So stay away if you don't have a degree and want to grow with a company. But if you are just looking to pick up some skills in software, it's a fine place to start.  ZERO work life balance for the role I had. You could work 100 hours in ONE week through sickness and turbulent weather, and they do not care one bit and will give you no reward what so ever. They had so much potential to be great, but chose not to be.

As an employee at Liberty Software, you will be a direct contributor to the success of the company.  Because it is a small company, everybody's role is important and as such you expected to be accountable for your work.  In most roles, you will have direct interaction with customers, so professionalism and customer service is a must.  Liberty Management, although focused on the company's success, cares very much about its customers and employees.  The company has grown continuously since its inception and seeks out new ways of doing things to stay competitive as well as meet customer expectations.  I highly recommend Liberty as a great place to work!

This role can be a good starting point for someone looking to break into the tech industry. However, I wouldn't recommend it as a long-term career option. Favoritism is apparent, and management support is severely lacking—despite leadership believing otherwise.

Expectations are often based on the performance of individuals who receive significantly more support, which creates an unfair standard that others are held to without acknowledgment of the disparity.

Work-life balance is one of the most challenging aspects of the job. There’s a consistent expectation to take work home, and the limited training only adds to the pressure.
