its probably been 25 or 30 years since i worked there so i'm sure things have changed but i can tell you about my experience so long ago. i actually loved working there for a couple of reasons. i loved the fact that you drive around from client to client pretty much on your own time. Another thing is that i really enjoy helping and being around older and wiser people that really appreciate you and what your doing for them. You have the same set of clients each week so you build good trust and relationships. you don't have certain break times or anything you break in between clients when you have time. you don't actually report to the office in shepherdsville everyday you just leave from home in the morning and go to your first client rarely do you have to go to shepherdsville office. also im estimating on my start date and end date because i cant remember when i worked there.

The management in the office does the best they can to handle schedules etc. However the Employees are not given any paid personal time, or sick days. It is almost impossible to get full time and Vacation days are only earned after you are full time for a year. They do not give raises, some Aides have been there for years and still make the same wage as the new aides coming in. It is almost impossible to make enough to live on.You have to put wear and tear on your personal vehicle and only get what the state will pay per mile (after your first client to your last which is currently .34© a mile) The mileage amount goes up and down.

No paid vacation, even if you work over 40 hours a week because they don’t consider hardly ANYBODY full time. I personally haven’t had a problem with getting a dollar raise after a year, but a women I know that has worked there for 3-4+ years is still at the starting rate for some reason when she is such a hard worker. Most management is okay, but there’s one that just doesn’t like me for some reason, even before we ever met. I’m only giving 3 stars because I truly love my clients and job, even tho there’s some things that need worked on 


Absolutely love my clients. If it wasn’t for them, I would have left sooner.  Office personnel are very unorganized, and schedules aren’t received until hours before working. They will schedule you at one clients house one day and the next day send you to another clients house (right across the street) from the other client. We are supposed to be making it easier on these senior yet it’s more stressful for them in the long run when they continuously send new aides each week.

I love the job I do I love taking care of people..the job is wonderful!! I would never change taking care of people any chance to care for another person is always a blessing!! 
I go to work on a daily basis to care for clients to either clean their home or bathe them and when I am finished they always seem to be in higher spirits. Its so rewarding. I have learned that eventhough you can't be happy in all aspecs of a "job" seeing cliens smile when you come in and leave because they know your going to help in fullfills something a "job" can't!!

The Bowling Green office staff is beyond amazing. They are understanding, accommodating, extremely supportive and friendly. Flexible schedules, work as little or as much as you want. They have a great training program that gives you raises every few months! Definitely a company that you can grow with and excel in. The clients are the best! The office is super quick and efficient in handling any problem that arises on the job site.  I can not say enough about LifeLine HomeCare, they have made me feel at home with this company 💙

Disorganization, low pay, no set schedule for clients or employees

Inconsistent, stressful, disorganized 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start the day calling the office,Helping clients, however every day is unpredictable, some days can be very disorganized. Most days are rewarding!

The management has no communication skills it’s like talking to a toddler. They will tell you you’re getting a raise after 90 days but you never do. When you get new patients they don’t tell you anything about them. They have favorites and if one of your patients isn’t their favorites they won’t send ANY caregivers while ur out on vaca or sick. I do love working here and i love all my patients but you will drive a lot and the pay isn’t worth it.

The clients are awesome

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Constantly have to be on call and you get paid less then $2/hr for it. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful.  People are constantly quitting because of low pay.  People are frequently complaining about what is expected of them.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Drive all of the county(s) seeing patients in the home for wound care and disease mgt education.

Helping people is what i do . Lifeline makes that difficult . They constantly change your schedule of clients every week and if you have a patient that has dementia or Alzheimer that scares them and makes them even more unsure . they need to leave the caretaker in one spot with the same clients . They also need to get it together and not have people running around wasting gas and not compensating it in the check .
