The management at Comprehensive Sleep Care Center are all liars and extremely under qualified. Doctors have DME department managers without medical licenses signing prescriptions for them and see no problem with that. Micromanagement is at its peak at Comprehensive Sleep Care Center. It’s almost like they want you to be miserable while you work here. Technicians are promised incentives for their work every month but it’s a battle to even receive them. You literally have to beg them for something they PROMISE you. Employees do not last at this company. During the 3 months I worked here I had 3 different managers and each one was more inexperienced than the last. Nobody is properly trained. When I first started we were having goodbye cakes for employees that were quitting for weeks in a row; nobody had anything good to say about the company before leaving. I started out with no experience and ended up doing a lot more work than the employees that have worked at the company for 6+ years all while having little to no proper training. They do not show ANY appreciation at this company for your hard work. The only appreciation I received while I was there was from a 3rd party company. You’re left to fend for yourself at this place. If you’re looking for a failing company to work for this ones for you! Good luck. Management could care less about their hard working employees. They try to manipulate you to stay only when they think you’re getting ready to leave them. 

-Extremely high turnover rate, as mentioned by patients (unprompted)
-Little to no training upon arrival
-Very cut-throat environment (i.e. blame is tossed around everywhere, but no accountability is taken for own faults)
- Extremely condescending management (to the point of bigoted comments and remarks)
- Workload is unreasonable, and management rarely attempts to alleviate the problem by hiring more staff
- Mistakes are always pointed out by management, but accomplishments are never recognized or appreciated
- You always feel rushed (more so than the typical fast-pace of a medical setting)
- Management occasionally uses fear tactics such as threats of withholding bonuses or contract termination to maintain power dynamic
- "That's not my job; you do it" is a common phrase in the office
- Micromanagement is a daily occurrence
- Single-day time off requests require one month notice and approval from management. Multi-day time off requests require even more advance notice. Time off is not guaranteed (likely due to understaffing not being able to pick up the workload)
- Job requirements and duties are periodically added without any change in pay. Duties and requirements are never taken away (likely due to understaffing issue)
- Gossip spreads like a virus through the office (extremely unprofessional)

In a typical day at work I would have many patients check in and out, enter new insurance information, write many referrals, as well as many other normal office tasks such as: faxing, copying, answering phones, documenting in patient charts. I learned many things about the medical field while working for a doctors office, a lot of medical terminology as well as writing referrals and using I-CD 9 for diagnoses. I also did some charge entry and used the computer for most insurance entries. I also help with prior authorizations for insurance companies as well as writing out some orders for x-rays and other procedures. For the office to run properly all coworkers had to work together making appointments, verifying insurance benefits, writing orders, and making sure the insurance was billed properly. The job can be difficult when patients come in sick or with sick children but knowing that they are going through a tough time and you may be able to help them get the help that they need makes everything worth it. The most enjoyable part is being able to see people get the help that they need for whatever cause and being able to see the smile on their faces.

LMG operates a variety of practices across several specialties; however, smaller locations with limited staff often make it impossible for employees to take emergency or sick leave. I experienced this firsthand while working at a small practice (within LMG) for four years, where I was frequently required to work while ill. Common, short-term illnesses—such as stomach viruses or heavy menstrual periods—do not always require medical treatment but do require rest, a need that some office managers failed to recognize. After transferring to a larger practice with more staff (also within LMG), I was finally able to take appropriate sick leave.
Another issue is that you can work four years for LMG at “Practice One,” but if you are transferred to “Practice Two,” you start over from zero. Your prior years at the previous LMG practice will not count toward years of experience, seniority, or consideration for a raise.

I was told on day one by other employees to run while I could. I was asked if I had children during the interview by the manager. And then asked by another manager "So are you married or have any kids?"on my first day. Another new employee was asked the exact same uncomfortable questions. Not sure what that has to do with me checking patients in and out. Gossip culture at its finest between managers and staff, very toxic environment. The bad office management affects patients' care, and appointments, and the frustrations will be brought on the front staff, which is NOT fair. They hire people, and they never stay over a month.Employee retention with LMG is extremely low, while they are signing on more doctors and patients, but have no staff to assist them.

You can really learn a lot if you have a very thick skin and don't mind being screamed at and treated disrespectfully by the manager.  The doctors are very nice and many of the coworkers are wonderful people.  

You get paid sick leave but you are never allow to actually use it.  If you call out sick you get scheduled for an extra shift to make up for it.  If the weather is bad and you have over a hundred hours of sick time they will still make you take a vacation day if you call out.

The HR department is totally useless and will not respond to emails or phone messages.  Nobody wants to know if you have a problem.  

And no matter how loyal and hard working you have been for many years  they will find a way to screw you out of holiday pay when you turn in your notice.

Management talks out of both sides of their mouth. They want things run efficiently and more accurately, but if you make suggestions they are knocked down.  In one breath they're very supportive and are willing to help you learn how they do things, and in the next they've left you alone to figure it out.  

If someone asks a question, tell them what they want to hear, then pray you can follow through. Never be honest or you'll be considered disrespectful. They are set in their ways. Learn what they do and do it their way. It doesn't matter if you've been in the industry for years and know how to make simple changes that will help the work be more accurate. It doesn't matter if you know how to best manage your time. Do it their way anyway. If you don't, you won't be there long enough to prove yourself.

I got hired back in Feb. 2015 and at first it was great but after 2 mths  I seen their true colors. I was a Payment Poster who was suppose to be a a telephone person. 

Why they were going to put me with phones when I had 5 years experience posting I'll never know and Glad I didn't have to find out. 

The people are nice but management is another story so bad that I got caught in the middle of a feud and I left. 

Bottom line, management is stuck in their ways and I'd watch the one with the boyish hair cut. She is not friendly and a pretender. She could use some anger management classes. 

Rarely see the CEO and when you do see her she is friendly some days and cold on other days. She acts like you are beneath her. Full warning when working in the Payment Posting Department.

A typical day with Loudoun Medical Group was productive. I know that I moved at my pace and that the work environment was probably the most comfortable out of any job that I have had. From the Housekeeping to the IT to the CEO, every person I worked with was as pleasant as possible as well as professional. 

Loudoun Medical Group taught me everything that I do know and after teaching, what I did appreciate, is they asked "does that make sense?" which really helps their employees think if they truly understand; and that it is ok to ask questions. 

The hardest part of the job honestly is leaving. I enjoyed working there. It was a great experience!

I worked in the Reston location for only 6 months. The culture in the office is very negative which all starts with the Dr who is completely rude. The office manager doesn't manage at all and has no idea what is going on with her employees nor does she ever leave her office. I was never trained in any aspect of the job. Oh and if you're looking for any overtime....that will not happen! You will actually get written up if you are over 40 at all. It's ridiculous. The office itself is rundown and stuck in the 1970's. I honestly would never recommend patients or anyone looking for employment to this place. Good luck if you give it a try!
