Like many others, at first it was great! Parking wasn’t to much of a hassle for me . I found that this particular office isn’t the best work environment , HR is never on your side and does not help much . Nothing else works out much because of the mean girl aura and cliques within the office setting. The ones that do actually care about their jobs and enjoy what they do are often put to the side and admired for their poor performances versus , the ones who ignore calls or are extremely rude to patients over the phone and never get reprimanded for their actions. Managers seem to be leaving and replaced often which makes it uneasy in the office with a new manager every 6-8 months. The seniors of the company can think way to highly of themselves and tend to forget they are in a work setting . Just bad vibes from employees as a whole, would get yelled at and never helped with my ongoing issues . Not worth the traffic to get here and not worth feeling less than by others 

We have already submitted other reviews in order to view additional (hopefully positive) reviews which continue to be blocked by this site. however, here is our opinion again as not everyone feels like they can share  publicly without backlash so we’re sharing for the collective employees experience. 
Upper  management in Novato is horrible. I truly miss the days when management cared more about patient care and less about the numbers and end game. Employees are worked to their core…and then some. Patients have complaint after complaint but there is no support for providers to then support their patients. Pay is horrific in comparison and many employees have been working underpaid for YEARS without knowing it, until they looked into comparable positions and recognized they were being swindled out of their hard earned income. With children and families to care for, this is not a good look for this organization. 

Not enough parking. Salaries increase depend if someone like you or you have a family member or friend who works here and got you the job. Comunication problems among staff. Some people who have attitude problems and are not qualified or have the knowledge for their job positions and are rude to patients or at co workers while patients are being helped. People are lazy alot of the time and pretend to be working. Athough there are some employees who do care. Some people forget that the patients are the reason that they are actually there. People are always complaining or talking behind someone else's back or tattletale on each other to cover for themselves. There are so many hppa violations. 

This has been an awful Company to work for, though only in the past 3-4 years or so.  Prior to that it was incredible! 
Management in Novato went WAY downhill after Covid. They let go of some amazing, compassionate employees and leadership while hiring  a Medical Assistant (meaning only 6 MONTHS of Training) into a Clinical Director position!! Who is running this circus??! (Guaranteed this decision was to save overhead costs). But the harm done to employees and patients alike… there’s simply no excuse. And the lack of leadership shows. :( 


I worked at the MCC in Novato for about three years and was only given a raise once. I asked for one out of those THREE years AFTER I heard that I get paid the same amount as someone new and was shut down. I quit couple weeks after the news. If MCC paid their MAs fairly, I and many others would've never left.  

They will overwork you and show a poor amount of appreciation, the place is always understaffed and there's also little opportunities to grow. 

The supervisor was amazing and was an advocate for her MA's. She is the only reason why many people stayed working there. 

I do not recommend working at the call center,There is no room for growth, if you speak up you will experience retaliation  from management. you are micromanaged, if you take a minute or two between calls you are asked what you are up to. The environment feels suffocating, there is too much information being thrown, people are constantly quitting  and leaving for better opportunities There is favortism and lack of communication within the leadership. Leads at the call center were very supportive, welcoming and helpful. 

Mondays, I worked at our Teen Clinic.  I was the only MA there, so I would room the patients, take vital signs (manually), and do slight education on birth control.  Tuesdays and Thursdays I would work in our Womens Health clinic. Like Mondays I was the only MA, I was in charge of vital signs, monthly inventory, and weekly autoclave. When we would get a positive HCG, I would do all the necessary steps for the patient. Fridays I would autoclave all day for our main clinic, with the occasionally floating departments.

the environment is fun, the day goes on by so fast. We have different types of specialty doctors and so many patients to see each day. we focus in providing good customer service and health clinic for patients. I love my co-workers, a fun and respectful place to work. The hardest thing about my job is seeing how patients don't have the resources and money to come to their f/up app that have chronic diseases. Lastly the best part about my job is helping patients and having the satisfaction that you made a difference in someone's life.

I started as a patient account rep but did a lot of other tasks. I helped with charge entry, collections, and billing disputes and inquiries I enjoyed working with patients the most. MCC offers a flexible work schedule which really helps to open up time for taking care of personal matters. When I started with MCC almost 6 years ago we had only 5 people in the billing department, now we have 15. I have learned that  communication is key to productivity and efficiency especially with the vast growing changes in the medical field.

Horrible work environment! If staff don’t like you, they will do everything to get you in trouble, very mean girls vibe. Not professional at all! Staff go out of their way to either get you fired or get you to quit! Upper management doesn’t care when you assess these concerns, instead they tell you they will look into it and nothing comes from it and when it gets brought up again, they almost tell you to quit and move on. I’ve seen many people get fired over the most minimal things and when staff see it happening, they applaud it. It’s a toxic work environment
