Medicaid Done Right

The give you flexibility to clock in from 7-8:30 and to leave for the day between 4:30-6. Lunches are also flexible times. The company has good benefits, and they are willing to work with you when there is an emergency. The company wants what is best for the families and facilities that we work with, and the staff works as a team to make this happen. This can be more than a job if you want it to be and they will help you meet those goals. The job can be a little stressful however that is with any job. You make it what you want it to be. I love coming to work and that alone speaks volumes. The people are a good fun group and only want the best for you. We do have high caseloads but if you remember this is a rotating door with your workload and take it 1 case at a time you will be fine. They try to give you all the tools needed to learn the process and are always willing to help when you have questions. 

Some generally good people overall and teammates are kind and willing to help as are some management. Not all management will few people equally though and there is some favoritism involved. Over time is expected which is actually a plus because pay is relatively low and there aren't really any raises until you've been there over a year. There is little tolerance for being late or absent for any reason, so best hope that you don't have any family emergencies or issues that might keep you from getting to work or you could be faced with losing your job. The day is always busy and it feels good to help others with clients but having to look over your shoulder for job security can be disconcerting. 

As a Representative, my day consists of traveling to that day's facility, meeting with any scheduled new residents and/or their families to explain our services and begin the screening and application process as needed.  These resident's and families need your help and understanding of the programs for which we assist in obtaining.  It is rewarding in that you are able to take away the burden of their application process so that they can now focus on healing and spending time with their loved ones.  Management is excellent and do no micromanage.  You are trained on the expectations and know what you are required to do.  At the end of the day, you can take pride in what you do, knowing you have made a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

A typical day working for Medicaid Done Right consists of traveling to facilities, meeting with residents and families to complete applications for Long term care Medicaid. I have learned nursing home medicaid guidelines as opposed to community medicaid. The management at Medicaid Done Right is supportive, they provide you with the tools to do your job successfully. The workplace culture involves diversity and inclusion, respecting others from different backgrounds, strong leadership, and open communication. The hardest part of the job is fitting everything in to a work day, which some schedules allow for an office day. The most enjoyable part of my job is knowing I have helped residents and their families.

MDR is the only place I have worked that I felt no discrimination of any kind, and in addition to that every single employee really cares about the work they do and treat their co-workers with respect and kindness. I never went without training or assistance when I needed it, and the support was amazing! This company is extremely fair in pay and benefits, and the only reason I left was for something entirely outside of MDR control. They have treated me so well, I would recommend MDR to friends, family, the community, and anyone willing to listen. If you are offered a career here, I recommend it 100%. I really enjoyed helping others and the work and culture was fantastic!

1. Capacity mismatch = workload exceeds 8 hours
2. Volume creep = duties keep getting added without removing tasks
3. Metric distortion = KPIs were set for an old version of position
4. Poor leadership planning = they're "solving" problems by stacking work on top of people

Some people can tolerate it.  Others slowly die inside while they're doing it.  Others resign.
It could be a great job but the workload is extreme and management does not seem to care.  
Every team or management meeting is essentially a beat down of how  metrics/numbers/expected revenue was not met.
They could greatly improve if they listened to the employees who are actually doing the job.  


My experience at MDR has been very positive.  The management team is committed to creating a positive culture and work environment that recognizes and compensates for achievement.  It has a clear mission of helping patients, families, and caregivers in the process of applying Medicaid benefits.  This is very rewarding to me as I like to work for a company with a clear vision and purpose.  There are regular social activities throughout the year that makes me feel part of a community.  My teammates are great!  Lastly, the management has been working on growing the company and reinvesting in the business.

Working for Medicaid Done Right is a never-ending learning experience. I find learning extremely exciting and fulfilling. Medicaid Done Right is successively evolving, and it is rewarding to be part of a goal and mission to not only help others in some of the most trying times of life but to also be part of a culture so strong and supportive. Management is supportive, encouraging, helpful, and team-driven. My experience working here thus far is extremely positive and I look forward to growing within my role and appreciate the opportunity for advancement. 

You will never be bored with MDR, every day is an opportunity to learn something new to achieve daily goals.  We have a great support system with managers from the field all the way to the top.  Job is more than an eight (8) hour day, balance is needed for home and work lives.  Work entails dealing with several different types of people, staying objective and free of judgement is important.  The end results of getting a family approved for Medicaid benefits is the best part of this job.

I read reviews before I applied and honestly was a little hesitant to apply.  After 2 1/2 years, I have advanced due to diligence and hard work, learned the company and have come to appreciate the diverse people there.  I enjoy my job and have the support and respect of the management as well as co-workers.  The job isn't easy, its A LOT of hard work and dedication, but as I stated, you really do get out what you are willing to put in.  A good outlook and willing to work hard is not overlooked here.
