An average day consists of repairing various issues for various locations, prioritizing by problem severity and rank of staff (doctors before nurses, etc). Some staff member can be somewhat demanding and difficult to work with, but a simple "Yes, sir" and "Yes, ma'am" works well here in most cases.

Field Service Tech as MPG must be Jacks-of-all-trades. Whether the issue is PC, laptop, printer, software, connectivity or TVs (yes, TVs) you must be prepared for just about anything. Consequently, you will learn much about various aspects of IT usually reserved for specialists or other positions (you are responsible for all things IT in your area - although you can contact other techs for answers if something stumps you or is beyond your scope of knowledge).

Management is what makes MPG a difficult place to work. Pleas for better pay, physical help or formal training are met with "This is what you signed up for". Overall, the culture of the company is such that doctors are treated as the money makers and are highly revered and IT is viewed as a cost center and a "necessary evil". Thus the company does the most with the absolute least when it comes to IT staff, being woefully understaffed and under-paid compared to the national average for other privately owned companies.

Good co-workers are the bright spot at MPG. Most are helpful and encouraging with good work ethics and friendly demeanors. An air of dissatisfaction among IT staff does linger, due to management's rather apparent view of ITs lack of value (IT just spends money, it does not make money). This affects employee morale greatly, making for decreased work satisfaction among IT staff.

The most difficult part of working at MPG is dealing with certain positions (doctors, radiologists) that have obvious sense of entitlement - knowing they bring in significant revenue to the company and thus can say/do/demand anything they wish at any time. Some are downright unprofessional and think nothing of yelling insults and expletives at IT and other staff. While these types are the minority, it speaks volumes on how MPG allows those who produce the greatest income for the company have the greatest freedom to treat any other employee as rudely as they wish - and without repercussion. Any other company would process a grievance through HR against such actions, MPG merely shrugs it off since taking action could affect their bottom line.

The most enjoyable part of working a MPG are the genuinely nice people who are there doing their jobs and recognize that you're there for them; providing a valuable service that makes their jobs easier and more enjoyable as well.

Typical Day at Work: 8 - 9 hour day. Quick paced, new challenges everyday.  You have to watch your email constantly and respond right or be perceived as not "engaged" in your work.  Not being informed of decisions Mgmt has made and then "corrected" constantly for not knowing or reacting quickly to those changes.
Degrading, curt and time consuming immature emails, texts constantly but are overlooked and accepted because of tenured staff. 

What I learned: Started as a small company that is expedentionally growing however still holding on to many antiquated processes that are hindering productivity and growth.  Change and new ideas are not welcomed and accepted by "tenured staff" and those who suggest change are singled out, bullied or ostracized. Tenured staff withholding information, being impatient and refusing to work as a team with newer members and being told to figure it out on your own or you should have known that.  The blame game round and round.  Not sharing information interdepartmentally.  Professional apologies or admitting they were incorrect - that doesn't happen.  

Hardest Part of Job: Realizing your skills and education are trumped by old policies and protected (allowed and accepted) harassment, bullying and mobbing.  Employee morale low.  Fit in or move on.  Being told you and staff aren't allowed to speak to certain people in your department then being told how we are all a team and should work together.  Confusion signals from mgmt. Being reminded constantly how some staff are always right and them letting you know you aren't.

Enjoyable part of Job:  Knowing no matter whatever challenges I face I chose this career because the work I perform and help others with is ensuring that the best in Patient Care and Quality can grow and evolve.  I enjoy the work I do perform and know those I work alongside feel the same which is why we're all here trying to make things better for all.  I keep a positive attitude because I believe it will spread to others and we can all eventually work together for the greater good of the company and our patients.

Before Millennium, I was at a bad company and wanted out. I was yearning for a new job and was excited to get the job at Millennium. At first. The first two phone interviews went really well and I was excited for the scanning portion. The on-site interview process in Port Charlotte was horrible. The lead ultrasound tech was rude and questioned my education. She seemed irritated that she had to interview me on my lunch break. I had to scan in front of five people, who were also her coworkers. As she walked me out, she told me that they would give me a call if they're interested, but there were at least five more people being interviewed after me. After being in the field for two years, I feel like I had enough experience, but I felt completely drained when I left. Needless to say, I had somehow gotten the job at the Naples location. My training with the tech who was already there went very well. I could tell that she was being overworked. By the end of the first week, she had already asked me if could work a few days for her, since it was her birthday. I was kind of thrown by that statement. Since I was new, my trainer took an hour lunch break instead of 30 minutes, would talk to the employees, etc. There was one time where I hadn't helped my coworker with paperwork or our duties (since I was still learning), she was frustrated and said, " Well, we hired you even though you failed your scanning interview, so I would like some help around here". I thought that it was unprofessional of her to say that, and even if I did "fail" my interview, no coworker should say things like that to a NEW employee. Maybe I just had a bad experience. But I would not recommend working for Millennium.

Don’t get me wrong I love my job and what I do, just wish everyone else did as well. For instance, work as a team not against each other, if you or someone notices something is not right and you say something and your nice about it the first couple of times and they continue there’s no repercussions for them but my gosh if you make a mistake you get in trouble. The hardest part of my job is constantly picking up the slack and going behind the few that keep doing what they’re not suppose to be doing and fixing the problem on top of doing their job because they call out all the time and that’s why you are not able to do your job and you get behind. If something major happens in your life and your on medical leave and you’re afraid of losing you job and they tell you your not, then you come back and you don’t have your job they gave it to someone else along with a new job title. So then it becomes  hard to find position for you to do and they wondered why your was upset. You appreciate everything they did for you  while you were out but holding your job is just that not what position you had. One of the benefits other then healthcare is on your 1st anniversary you get 3 items and a jacket w/Millennium emblem embroidered on it at no cost to you and every anniversary thereafter 3 items which could be a mix match of one pair of pants and 2 tops or vice versa however you want it but another jacket is out of pocket.

Millennium prides itself on it's growth and how many cities and specialists they have however they don't make sure an office is stable and supported before trying to obtain more practices. 

MPG talks about being a top performer in the ACO but because of that their main aim when taking care of patients is to push testing that isn't needed, way too many follow-up visits, and referring the patients to MPG specialists. This leads to a heavy workload for all of the staff who are spread incredibly thin as is. Most departments are heavily understaffed and have impossible metrics and department goals placed on them.

They offer a few different health plans through BCBS that can be expensive and do not offer great coverage. PTO is weak, only about 40 hours per year, and sick time uses that PTO. 401k is decent, as well as their life insurance. You have quarterly and yearly reviews, and usually, a fair raise will come out of the yearly based on your performance.

There is a company policy where they can transfer you to another department or move you to part-time based on business needs, without you having a say in it.

Employees get one bonus a year, usually about $900 that comes from the ACO. It's funded by how much money we "save" insurance companies by hitting preventative health goals, like pushing unneeded specialist visits and follow-up appts.

Millennium Physician Group was a good start of change, however the company has numerous issues of need of addressment. They are a good number of individuals who genuinely want to the expected job and excel. However the current culture and  typical unprofessional hypocrisy I'd advise a more mindful approach and research to whom applying with, where, how much and where you'll be within the year.
     As someone who had striven to embrace the Millennium Culture and Effort, It was the hardest thing to leave. I actually wanted to grow with and change for the better with the company and be apart of the change to bring Millennium to a better standard of efficacy and quality. Note don't bring to the table more than what they can hold.

Millennium has systematically chewed up many of the small mom and pop type clinics and primary care offices locally and around Florida (and not well). I was an experienced EMR Trainer from one of their largest acquisitions.  I interviewed to onboard in their acquisitions and integrations department. Once I transitioned into my new position with Millennium, it was straight down hill from there.  Once you discover that your company is being acquired by Millennium, they assure you that they will find a home for you and no one is fired when the merger happens.  What they don't tell you is that they will make you so miserable that you will just quit! I have never just walked out without giving notice EVER, until I worked here. The training department is unprofessional (they make fun of the trainee's, gossip about other employees and have a click mentality) and lack real talent (all prior Medical Assistants with no formal education or prior training experience).  This is sad for both the employees that they teach and the patients that are being cared for.  I cant speak for all of Millennium,  but given what I have seen in the training department and the patients that I got the pleasure of engaging, AVOID this place, its not worth it!

The communication between management themselves and management with employees is abhorrent. One manager will tell you one thing and another will tell you the opposite. They seem to only want to communicate with you when it benefits themselves. Their policies regarding covid are consistently changing on a daily basis, not in a good way, and seem to vary between patient to patient. They say they don't take positive patients but they will even if they aren't cleared past their 10 days of quarantine. I understand this is the medical field but if you're gonna have a policy in place saying we don't accept positive cases then stick to it, don't keep changing according to how you feel. They won't test their workers for covid even if other coworkers are positive. They say they provide PPE but don't. They will change your schedule without warning or even telling you and expect you to just know what your supposed to be working. Lots of promises that weren't kept regarding pay, location, and hours. Healthcare isn't the best, they could do better. Lots of drama and backstabbing with the older workers. Steer clear

I have worked for Millennium Physicians Group for over 3 years. I have worked in one place as my "homebase" but have covered at other locations. Depending on your job title, your typical day at work varies. There are Primary Physician offices, Walk-In Clinics, Lab, Radiology, Physical Therapy, etc. I have not worked in all of these scenarios but have been around most of them and have nothing but good things to say about my co-workers, the workplace culture, and management. My coworkers are awesome people who will bend over backwards to help if I need it. Management addresses all of my concerns and have always accommodated me in everything I have asked for. I make a decent wage, the benefits are GREAT, and started off with 3 weeks paid vacation time. The hardest part of my job was the long commute but have recently relocated to a location closer to my home. The most enjoyable part of my day is when I can make a patient smile... which happens often. 

Long  hrs  trying to  take  care of   patients and fit them into the  schedule the  same time  being  pushed  by company  to " productivity numbers "  chasing RVU s  ,metrics  , measures  , compliance modules   etc 
Patients  are  also sicker these days  so  they are  unhappy  when  15 min is  only allotted  to them .
Management ? Almost nonexistent on lower  levels   ;  you  get  an Email from time to  time   but  seeing maneger   on   premises ?   Luxury  !
But  I have  to  admit  corporate  management  has  definitely  higher   standards . Per  recent statistics  there are  10 administrators for  every doctor 
In the office  , no  time even to  talk to  MA  who usually is  inadequatly   trained  person randomly " inserted " into this   very complicated   system . No time for other  interactions whatsoever . You do  know   who works in the office anymore .
Hardest  part - not being able  to  interact with  patients much  
Most  enjoyable - unthinkable to  walk away from taking care of  patients  so at the  end of the  day  great  satisfaction   that  they  were  taken care of  no matter  how much extra time / efford  it took .
