Work in this office is energizing and you get the opportunity to work with a diverse collection of interesting professionals from different fields. Feedback is encouraged and people ops and management put a lot of effort into showing the team that feedback is heard and implemented into different areas of development for the company.

There are a ton of growth opportunities and leadership is always willing to have open conversations about what the path into different job opportunities looks like and provide coaching. 

I find the work place culture to surround the needs of the team and how we can best serve them. I love that the CEO does not have a hierarchal view of the company but a team perspective. It makes it easy to communicate and get to know other departments you otherwise would not have the chance to meet. 

I am in love with the fact that we offer bilingual services and that the program keeps in mind the needs of its bilingual team mates as it adds another level of complexity onto the role. That type of care to details really shows how determined the company is to having a happy healthy team that can best serve its patients!

The most enjoyable part of the job is hearing about the success stories and seeing them come from the entire team and not just 1-2 individuals. It is so rewarding and motivating to see the why you are doing something come to life.  

I will always recommend this company, it is hard work, good work and we are all considered important within this work.

Being part of a team that is dedicated to connecting individuals with the care they need has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I truly appreciate the collaborative spirit within our team; everyone is committed to supporting one another and working together towards our shared mission.



What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Keeping up with healthcare regulations and policies can be overwhelming, especially in environments where regulations frequently change to service a vulnerable population of members in need.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture at Mindoula fosters open communication and encourages innovative ideas, which not only enhances our work but also contributes to personal growth. I am grateful for the opportunities to learn and develop my skills further, and I look forward to continuing to support Mindoula’s mission of providing compassionate care to those who need it most.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Directly engage with patients, either through calls, virtual visits, or in-person meetings, depending on the role's setup. This time is dedicated to assessing their progress, addressing concerns, and providing emotional support.
Documentation: After interacting with patients, it's essential to document any changes, notes, or recommendations in their care plans. Accurate documentation ensures continuity of care and effective communication with the broader team.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The salary and the case management team was the best part for me. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
This company expects employees to cold call potential members who don’t even need mental health support and sell something they are buying! They never cared about the client journey just how many clients come through the door. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Horrible culture! Executive leadership has some agenda and are almost narcissistic. It’s all work and no care for employees self care. They leadership is micro-managing everyone and outside of that circle no one has a voice or opinions that was heard. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Spreadsheet upon spreadsheet trying to prove work done but never satisfactory to executive leaders. Calling rapidly to engage members and not really doing anything for them because you must make at least 100 calls a day!!! Very little interaction with any of Mindoula day over day week over week.

I heard some positive things from people who joined before me, but I have only seen things getting worse each month. Especially it started going downhill when the management changed responsible for teams providing care. 

Many reviews that talk about micro managing are very accurate. Top most leaders need to be strategic instead of micro managing each and every aspect of the issues removing any independence. Our managers simply perform what the top management asks them to do instead of being thoughtful though they had experience dealing with similar work before. The top leadership doesn't have any relevant experience apart from working through goal posts without any regard fr the care. They even do some borderline unethical things just to meet the numbers and it feels bad to work for such a company.

It is also discouraging recently to see some good people leave the company who were focused on helping the patients and passionate about providing the care. If this trend continues, this company will lose it's soul.

A typical day consisted of meeting and meeting and meetings about meetings.  The caseloads are extreme and then you are required to make sales calls which they disguise in the paperwork as enrollment support.  They have onboarding training which is a joke.  When you ask for clarification, you get NONE.  And they will not provide and support for your roll with training.  In order for me to take a necessary training, I had to use PTO.  You do get 8 hours of mental health time per quarter, but after working with this company, you need at least 5 times that!  The management micormanages and are not concerned with the member's wellbeing whatsoever.  If you make a remark that goes against any of the upper management, they come up with ways to scold you.  Everything you do gets shared with every other staff member in team meetings.  I hated working at Mindoula.  I have watched it damage more members than it helped.

Work typically was very high paced and working remotely you need to have good time management skills and self discipline and awareness! Workload could get high and overwhelming at times! Staff could be very supportive and helpful most days. Changing supervisors was frequent and the most difficult aspect of employment with the company. Turn over was fairly even during my time there! The most rewarding part of my job was working with the members on my caseload regularly and weekly zoom meetings for peer support! Sharing stories and encouraging others while growing together was so important for a life long recovery journey. These members made the work absolutely amazing!

Working at Mindoula has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my career. The leadership team is supportive. They listen, mentor, and encourage you to grow in ways that feel both exciting and achievable. Every day brings real learning opportunities, whether through collaboration, training, or hands-on problem-solving. Most importantly, the work we do matters. Helping people navigate complex behavioral health challenges is deeply rewarding, and you always feel connected to a mission bigger than yourself. Mindoula is a place where you learn, you’re supported, and you make a genuine impact.

We were expected to maintain approximately a caseload of 110 clients on top of doing enrollment and Outreach calls even though they had an enrollment in Outreach department. Therapist could prolong meeting with clients, but Peer Support had to take up most of the task by multiple calls, texting and emails a week and being overbearing to Client is seeing more about the money that actually helping the clients supervisors pretty much petted people against each other by doing little contracts and showing everyone’s metrics, definitely not a diverse atmosphere or culturally aware.

The company is trying to expand/dominate in at least two fields: mental health informatics and mental health telecare. Unfortunately they’re expanding too quickly to balance the number of new clients coming in every day with the ever-decreasing number of care managers available. I loved my work with clients, however the process for discharge felt deliberately belabored. You have to chase grown people down or at least hassle them, multiple times per week for at least four weeks and only *if* they ignore you all 4 weeks, then you can discharge them for lack of contact. The pay is below market average for master’s level clinicians and they know it. Standards and expectations change constantly and with little to no warning.
