What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Horrific abusive management. Low pay. Fake offerings of medical insurance but that has huge deductibles and no drs accept.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Negative, depressing, abusive, uncompensated commensurate with work results, predator executive level management, and leadership that only becomes leaders by being abusive.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Misery, stress to the extent of being sent to the ER, abuse, earning multiple awards for exceptional work and same day being written up for not doing enough...games by managers to keep me knocked down constantly so their inadequacies remain hidden.

I assisted the medical coders in getting all information needed for them to bill efficiently. I learned to coordinate correct coding for different clients in different states according to there insurance specifications. I was trained for each new client by very qualified supervisors and co-workers. I enjoyed working with each and every person in the company.
The hardest part of the job was at first learning the new computer system. I learned very quickly with the help of my supervisor and co-workers.
The best part of my job was working with the group of people I have and learning a lot more about billing for many clients from different states and the intricate nature of insurance differences of each.

I've been with ModMed for 5 years and I can say that we have seen a lot of changes. It has been a bit of a bumpy road for RCM specifically but I believe they have finally found stability. There has been some changes in management that have made a HUGE positive impact in operations and morale.  We now have a well qualified leader at the helm that see's the issues and is taking action!
As for culture, it's rare to find a company that cares so much for its employees.  I didn't think that I would find a place with this type of family bond and I was so glad that I found ModMed.  We know how to have a good time, there is no doubt. We look out for each other and support each other. In true ModMed pride, we will go above and beyond for both our customers and our fellow colleagues!

Working at Modernizing Medicine was such a valuable and inspiring chapter in my career. I had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the brightest and most compassionate professionals in healthcare technology. Every project I worked on reinforced the company’s mission — to modernize how healthcare is delivered and make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.

What stood out most to me was the culture of collaboration and innovation. Everyone genuinely wanted to see each other succeed, and leadership encouraged creativity, growth, and open communication. I learned so much about blending technology, operations, and patient care — skills that continue to shape how I approach business and strategy today.

Avoid the patient services department (PSS). Wrong people wrong place. I left happily.  Typical day in the life of mod med would be getting ignored and not knowing what to do after a pathetic training. They will not tell you when you are doing wrong. They talk about you behind your back. Management is terrible. PTO approved only for favorites and even part time employees. Nothing is explained from the start. New rules get made up. Terrible place to work. Very nasty and rude mgmt. Leader of mgmt will gaslight you into thinking you need to change your internet and avoid letting people know they need a new pc for ring central issues. The list goes on avoid this place all together. It is not worth the pay. 

The only people that really count are the executives as they are trying to get the company ready to sell. Profits are more important than employees well being. They continue to cut wages and increase quotas to make it harder to make the false compensation amounts they promote during interviews. The HR department is terrible and unhelpful once they have you hooked and you accept the offer. Sales leadership is the worst I have ever seen all the way to the top. Untrustworthy!!!  Don’t fall for the hype and lies. 

Absolutely terrible leadership with poor communication skills. They will gaslight you into thinking you are performing poorly, and even put employees on a performance improvement plan on behalf of their own mistakes. FYI, these are not actual plans. Just a list of insults about the employee’s work. This is done regularly in each department in lieu of layoffs.
A generous PTO policy is offered, however managers seldom approve it to be used. There’s perks around the office, however even salaried employees get in to trouble for “being away from the desk too long”. Honestly, good on paper, but awful in practice.

It used to be the culture. Now it's a company of ladder climbing people.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The managers. Not being trained on new features but being expected to train clients. Clients not being the priority.

HR runs the company and they are out to protect the company.

Long and stressful . Not inviting.

The only stressful part of my job is sending out the end of month reports

Smooth all day long, as long as you do your job your good

If you want to work for Modmed DO NOT  I repeat DO NOT work in the RCM department. The RCM Management team is toxic. They do care about their employees and much less their clients. They overload their Client Managers with 15 clients and expect the employees to lie to clients about their deficiencies daily. If you have integrity this is not the place for you. RUN
