It's a lawless place unless of course you are a higher up or someone in the personal graces of said higher ups. Rules come and go, things get swept under the rug, they barely have running water due to constant testing of Legionnaire's disease. Nurses fight daily because no one properly assigns and/or manages. As far as families, it is hit or miss, some truly enjoy some of their nurses aides, cleaning or activities persons, but rarely are pleased with care as a whole. Much of administration is hardly available to listen to the needs of their employees, partially due to actual accessibility and partly due to the cliques and circles of friends inside. There is truly an atmosphere that if you are not liked or accepted they cast you aside or apply unfair treatment and even more tasks. Lastly due to changes with the building there is LITERALLY 2 sets of rules. The gradfathered in employees who have better benefits- and the new hires with less pay and benefits.

So far the work culture is great, I don't get any negative vibes here at all. Everyone is laid back and friendly for the most park. As long as your doing your job/ tasks, management wont say much to you. It’s definitely a stepping stone if you are looking to start getting your experience in the healthcare industry. Only critique I have is that management can be a little bit better  when it comes to new hires as far as making sure every new hire has the proper tools before hand, and proper materials to start working.

Human Resources does exactly what SHE  wants. HR steals the employee PTO.  Management supports the  deception that is taking place at this facility. Staffing is horrible. Nursing and CNA’s are over worked. The pay is low. All the perks they say they offer in the job  description is all lies. 

 Morale is low. Morrisview discriminates against employees in order to put fear in the uneducated.  Policies are made up as you go. 

No call no shows are put down as form of call outs in order to terminate employees so they wont have to pay out  unemployment benefits. Even when you call out management will not take down your information. 

OVERALL THIS A HORRIBLE PLACE TO WORK!!!

I loved working here for the most part. Overall, the environment was positive especially prior to covid. They would always have activities for the residents and there was a lot of enrichment for them. It is so much better when your residents are happy, too. I was a brand new nurse and they gave me the chance to learn how to work in this field and I worked with some of the best patients that gave me such special memories. 

This is a horrible place to work. I heard when the county was the owners it was great but with the new management it's not good at all. I worked here for a year. Full time staff got raise but part time workers did not. You work hard for $10.50hr. How can anyone live off of that. The place is not as clean because they cut environmental services staff. They are over worked just like the CNA and the nurses. The county needs to take this facility back. The families of the residents are always complaining.

I have been working here for over a month already and it has been a great experience. The interview process was easy and quick. the pay is fair with good opportunity for advancement. the environment is relaxed and upbeat with a great team in all departments. Management is caring and flexible and listened to any concerns of mine and resolved them right away. I love it here!!  

A typical 8hr day consisted of EMO/ hard copy medical record reviews, and marketing / solicitation hard calls, attainment  of medicaid / insurance pre-authorizations. The work place culture was productive and nurturing, The most enjoyable portion of the day was the interaction with potential resident family members.

This facility is beautiful and the atmosphere is joyful. We work hard but together. We are a team. The residents are great, the activities are fun. We celebrate holidays by bringing in food. Sometimes we eat lunch together. We have incentives that the job offers.

I also enjoyed utilizing my organizational skills while learning dietary clerk duties. This job was an excellent learning experience as far as applying food safety principals. I was especially impressed by the workplace culture. All teams had excellent communication with each other which made the job more enjoyable and productive.

A typical work day consists of basic nursing care. Also, reporting any changes or behavior to the nurse on duty. I learned multitask. The team work was great! The hardest part of the job was the heavy work load I experienced at times. The most enjoyable part where when the patients and family were pleased with the care the staff provided.
