What is the best part of working at the company?
Management is terrible, they treat people badly, unless you know someone. They do nothing by the books

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You request a day off or a schedule change, and follow all the correct procedures. Knowing that what you are requesting is more than posible they will still give you the opposite of what you requested. It doesn’t even matter who or how many times you requested the time and the emergency of the matter. They will look at you with a smile as they give the schedule you need to someone who has no restrictions to their work schedule.. unbelievable I know! But it’s true

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Negative and completely two faced. So Nice when they need you, they promise you what you need and the very next day they have a blank stare and don’t know what you are talking about when your request isn’t honored. It is Disturbing to see what is a representation of our community for the community they treat some of their employees terribly, and give away positions to people who have not applied, speak no English or have zero experience impose to someone who is responsible has applied and has all the experience and is trilingual, it’s Shameful 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful that my job is not secure, and I have no control over it. A constant struggle to keep my life together as an employer plays with my livelihood. It’s depressing embarrassing to work so hard and when needed to then be tossed away like I do nothing. People see it but won’t say anything afraid they will be next.. sad that we deal with this, not trying to even hide it and it’s reported invesigated and even with hundreds of people coming forward Nothing has been done and the same people run the show.. “we are replaceable, they get hundreds of applicants daily” Andrea Rosenberg

Clinic treated on average 2,500 patients monthly. Therefore my daily work routine was busy. My responsibilities included customer service, patient registration, data entry, eligibility authorizations, new patient referrals, referral authorizations for high risk pediactric patients. I bit disappointed in management due to the fact that there was an obvious lack of it, which for me was the hardest part of the job. Made it difficult to truly work as a whole. I was fortunate to learn about other specialties such as pediatric cardiology, hematology, podiatry, nuerology, general surgery, high risk pediatrics (just to name of few) of which included treatment, ICD-9 & DX codes for authoarizations. Worked with amazing staff both front and back. Hardest part of the job was when we were unable to help all our patients. I enjoyed every aspect of my job and the people I worked with, though managent was very poor. We all did the best we could and worked fairly well together.

If your only career goal is to build a secure retirement, this is the place for you. They still have an OK pension, so If you want to put in 20-30 years it may be worth it. 
  Most Nurses only work part time here to keep their retirement benefits because the management is too horrible to work under full time. Your personal life will become non-existent if they have anything to do with it. They will make you promises with fake smiles and optimism then stab you in the back. This a a horrible corporation to work for because its county, so they blame everything on that fact.
    Every shift feels like you just went through a battle in a war but you will never win the war. Sometimes the co workers are the only great part of your day. 
 I learned nothing is worth this much stress. I am much happier never having to walk through those doors again. The management is so far from reality and dont listen to staff.

The OR department was full of really great nurses. We did experience some growth pains but overall if you have a open mind, you will do well here. This is where it went south for myself. RUN away from the HR department. They will treat your pay as if its coming from their pocket meaning if they miss something, they will fight tooth and nail to get you what you deserve. They’re words are empty as in they will say something to you over the phone to make you happy but will not follow through in the end. Get EVERYTHING in writing because it will come back to bite you if you dont. When I quit, 6 people followed because of the lack of support and honesty. Its a good place for experience if you can hold out but definitely not a place I would settle down in. It was fine while it lasted. I left to memorial hospital and it was one of the best desicion of my life. The culture shock was huge.

Being a county facility with low support from upper management and the county board makes this job extremely stressful at times. Low pay due to an out of touch county board and union. The low pay causes a "merry-go-round" of training and the loss of employees to other much higher paid hospitals in the immediate area. However, due to all these circumstances, this also is a great training ground to new technologist and also enhances advancement into CT/MRI/ Special Procedures/ IR.
 The culture is good with many interesting trauma cases, especially gun shot cases as Salinas is known for super high crime/ murder rate per capita. A decent rain can be obtained if one is assertive/ aggressive.

A place where you can develop well your career; a good place to stay and a very friendly colleagues and supportive supervisor. Their cafeteria food were so cheap for the staff; you can buy for two person 's breakfast for only $5. They gave you training if you wanted to go the the other level or unit. A place that is fun to work , that I am always excited to go everyday; the only thing that I can say that I am hoping they will improve is to have  enough support if staff  are on break; sometimes they will call you even you are on break.This is a busy hospital that staff needed their break to just to breath and relax for few minutes so they can be able to recharge again and give their 100% attention to accomplish whatever task given to them.

The people are so amazingand the teamwork is like none I’ve ever seen

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I can’t say there was any real stress that I endured, but sometimes your patient can be very sick and when you can’t figure it out, I think that’s the most stressful part but the collaborative care to trying to find help for your patient like I said, was unlike any I’ve ever seen

it was a very family oriented environment

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
a typical day working on my unit at Natividad was literally a lot of work, but you didn’t feel it because it was just so organized and all of the resources you had available you would never know you were working so hard

Assist with preparation of Contract Administration using complex analytical application skills.  Analyzing and extracting needed requirements for Agreements, amendments, modification, renewals, quotes, and purchase order / deliver orders using Advantage Financial.  Determined prorated financial calculations and updated financial spend sheet.  Researched, collected data from upper management concerning primary cost center determinations and defining accounts whether applicable to the Jt. Commission Standards. Work closely with managers and other staff within the department and the County to anticipate, obtain and provide ongoing and accurate information. Coordinate activities related to projects, programs and/or other areas being analyzed. Communicated effectively orally and in writing.

Natividad Medical Center was an outstanding place to grow as a pharmacist. As a safety-net teaching hospital, it provided diverse clinical experiences and opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams dedicated to serving the community. The pharmacy department fostered a supportive learning environment, encouraged professional development, and empowered pharmacists to contribute to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives. My time at Natividad helped shape both my clinical skills and leadership abilities, and I am grateful for the experience and colleagues I worked alongside.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The patient population is so awesome and polite. They are thankful for all you do because they know you are there to help them. This was a great experience that reminded me of why I became a nurse.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Nothing at all really.  Staff are all team players. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Team based. I don’t speak that much Spanish and my Spanish speaking coworkers assisted me all the time without a problem. 💕
