They have a nice office with snacks and refreshments, some colleagues are great.
If you are fresh of out high school or have no college degree, this would be a good place to go, you can start to build your career here but then move on to other larger organizations that provide better training, benefits and compensation. There is only room for advancement or raises if you are related or friends with the owners. They give out titles like VP , or President to people who have zero people management skills or the experience to hold those titles.  Was on a team where the manager spoke down to everyone, you hear swearing and lack of respect towards female employees. As mentioned, join here if you have nothing else line up or want to end up in a dead end job.

I have worked with a few lenders over the years. Going on 5 years at the Hood and just feels like yesterday. The  work environment is comfortable and positively motivating. Our staff is courteous and professional and get things done!  Reno and Tony are true innovators and leaders in the mortgage industry. With mind boggling goals and high expectations, we have surpassed everyone of them.  

With the core of experienced underwriters, processors, administrative staff,and of course, a solid experienced manager core that motivates and makes work not seem like work and lets not forget the young and restless marketing team that grind out countless advertising. No one is 100% perfect, but with all the pieces in place, Lets say LOANS GET CLOSED!

The work environment is ever changing. Experience there has taught me to be resourceful and adaptable. Many originators there are part time however there are a couple of great seasoned originators whose experience and tenacity makes processing easier. The support staff is knowledgeable but often hindered. The most enjoyable part of working there was the compensation but the hardest park was dealing with the ever changing responsibilities and lack of organization.

Accounts payable analyst.
Terrible awkward job, only good if you are friends or family of the owner. Bad coworkers and management. I was soo happy when they fired me and I got unemployment benefits for a year. That was the only good part of the job. They give free food but secretly observe and report who is talkative and who keeps to themselves, they will fire you if you are quiet and reserved. 

2022 in review for Neighborhood Loans:

-No raises for any employees
-4 rounds of layoffs (1 of which occurred during the holiday season between thanksgiving and Xmas)
-If not laid off, hours were cut for most employees from 40 to 32 hours a week
-Great culture built by the company over the years has all but vanished from corporate. When the times got tough, Neighborhood Loans got going

If you aren’t a family or friend of the owners, good luck. Obvious favoritism. Don’t expect decent pay or raises. Do not try to be a hard working employee because it gets you nowhere and  they will toss you out like nothing down the line.   Majority co workers were nice and helpful. Depending on your job duties depended on how good your work/life balance.

The best place to work. I’ll start with the employees. Everyone is nice. On my first day it was so easy to meet and talk to every one. The leadership cares about their employees and their success. They invest time and resources to help us grow. 

I love this place and highly recommend this to work at.

I have started working for Neighborhood Loans in 2013. I really like the onboarding process, and the knowledge provided from management and other loan officers. The marketing team we have does an outstanding job that allows us to grow our business.
If you're looking for a place where you can make a lot of money, and doing that in a fun environment I highly recommend Neighborhood Loans.

Neighborhood loans is a fast paced work environment  and it is very enjoyable place to work at! Everyone pushes each other to go above and beyond and produce the best possible work from one another!  I truly enjoy it !

Berwyn branch is a new venue. Management and leadership staff is not experienced enough to run a proper branch. I would highly recommend not to consider this place for employment. You will be held responsible for completing not only your duties but the duties of two departments ahead of you. Out of scope with compensation versus duties.
