Great restaurant overall offering decent potential for profitability. Many good people working there aa well as regular customers and strong following as one of the Niche Hospitality Group’s newer concepts.


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Downfall is poor leadership, in particular the general manager of this store who lacks good people-skills and who subverts basic team-building business practices through divisive tactics. Try to get hired at one of the company’s other restaurants where leadership is more knowledgeable and supportive.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Mixed, but fairly positive on the whole.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Inconsistent in more than one aspect— direction/management, communication, changes to menus/pricing, volume/earnings

Absolutely loved working for niche a couple years back when the restaurant I worked at had good management and actually valued it’s employees hard work and feedback. Many former employees and I felt a huge shift in the workplace once management was switched and business started to slow down. Upper ups stopped listening to our concerns and menu ideas and complaints that we had gathered from customer reviews and then proceeded to put the pressure on us when we lost customers. Not very flexible with hours and earned sick time, little to no benefits and most of the time it was rare to be able to sit and take a break during a long busy shift. People would often times have to come in to work while sick and handle food because there was no coverage. 

This job was a great way for me to be introduced into the hospitality and restaurant business as a young adult. I learned what to expect at a restaurant in regards to attitudes, the pace of work and the way I am expected to handle myself with customers. I always had a great management despite the lack of support or communication from people which held positions higher up in the company. The culture of the workplace was very welcoming- all of our staff were very close to one another and often times created friendships outside of just the workplace. With business which fluctuated often it showed me the pros and cons which I may expect from working in this business. It was a great stepping stone for waitressing in more upscale restaurants and more developed places in the future.

This company only sees dollar signs. Management on site is unprofessional. Communication between CEOS and management was terrible.  Bad company to work for. You end up balancing their problems, work & working what seems ALWAYS between covering shifts and poor staff communication and leadership. Don’t bother working for this company if you’d like to receive training or advance your knowledge and expertise. The company is unwilling to train its employees. Nor vet their management. Also don’t work for this company if you have school and or other commitments. They take over your whole life and then some. 

I've been a line cook for a few years now and I can safely say that this is the best one I've been to. The staff here are amazing and we're so welcoming when I first started and have kept the same attitude sense. The chef here is amazing at what he does and gives you plenty of opportunity to learn and grow as a cook. If you're looking for a new cook job or want to start as one I would highly recommend starting here.

Best job i ever had. I learned alot from there and they we are like a family. Leaving this job might be the hardest thing I had to do but in order for me to advance in life I must get out of my comfort zone and try new things that will benefit me.

I love working with Hispanics because I can help them if theirs Spanish or English speakers because I know both languages. I like helping out when someone is having trouble knowing we’re things are.

Management turnover rate is bad, owner is not respectful, but the money is good because it’s a fine dining restaurant and the people respect it. I would recommend short term

Enjoy working there with my fellow coworkers. They take care of their employees and do their best to provide a family atmosphere for bot employees and customers.

Niche Hospitality is a great place to work for .  They treat there employees and there customers with the up most respect.  They have thrived and expanded with great success.
