You will be wasting your time and talent if you go work there. Managers and supervisors are so fake when they tell you you're doing a good work, and they keep saying "we are here for your success" but these are lies, and they don't care about you whatsoever. You won't be getting any good benefits like PTO, sick days or vacations. HR is as bad as managers; their nose is high when they talk to you. Overall, this whole place is a big fake culture altogether. Coworkers are really nice & respectful though which makes your day easier; and that is the good thing about this place because we are all in the same boat.  A typical day is taking calls from customers and closing tickets all day long and it's how you're being rated for a potential raise at the end of the year. Raises are a joke; They are only based on performance! That is if you get one, because there is no regular raise yearly. This is a "call center" that provides technical support. This is not a job that secures your future or will make you advance in your career.

A growing company that is fairly decent to work for but has its quirks and difficulties. Based on general observations, some roles do not have great job stability due to performance demands or unrealistic deadlines. A lower-than-normal work/life balance has caused employee burnout and a moderate employee turnover rate, depending on the department and role. The completion of work and tasks is sometimes difficult due to the sheer volume of meetings that are held each day, which has caused employees to work longer than normal hours or additional hours after the business day has come to a close. With all that being said, the best part of the company is the people, and most employees and departments are willing to go above and beyond to help in any way that they can.

Accepting the offer to be a part of the Noregon team, a year ago, was and still is the best professional decision I have ever made! The culture is amazing and I don't say that lightly! The  Executives are transparent with what is going on inside the company, the direction it is going, and the decisions that are being made. Everyone is approachable and works as a team, including the Executives. Ideas are welcomed and heard during meetings, and feedback is given in a positive and constructive way. I have reached out to team members that I have never even met, I work remote, and they have all be eager to help assist. At the corporate office they host several employee appreciation events, cater food, and go the extra mile to show everyone that they are valued. I truly foresee myself retiring from this company, 20 plus years from now! 

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is a lot of freedom an autonomy in the outside sales position and I made $20k in one of the months i worked there. great place to work to make money. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
You will sink if you're not self-motivated. there is nobody telling you what to do. if you have drive this place is a gold mine.

positivity is coming from every direction. very helpful corporate office.

meeting and talking with new customers every day conducting JPRO demos.

Noregon took me in and gave me opportunities to promote, and I took advantage of every opportunity.  I began at the bottom and worked my way to department manager in less than five years. It wasn't easy, I worked hard but was well rewarded for my hard work. I learned a lot about the technical aspects of the heavy duty vehicle industry as well as much about project management and relationship building.  The most enjoyable part of the job was the successful completion of a short term project and the feeling that someone benefited from my team's success. Definitely a great place to work!

I've worked here for over 18 yrs and it was wonderful, I really had no complaints. However, the original owner was bought out and the corporation that bought us brought in a new  supposed CEO who knows NOTHING about the industry or even what we do. The work environment is a nightmare now. I, along with most of us 'old timers' are desperately seeking other comparable positions in the industry, although some are just trying to ride it out till retirement. It's sad such a formally great business is falling apart. 

Leadership is a good ole boy network.

If something needs to be done but it doesn’t yield money from the customer, it will not get done (e.g. antiquated HVAC and air handling system, outdated and makeshift office / cube farm space and furniture, updated tools for employees to help them do their jobs better, break room, restrooms, 401k match, unused accrued PTO not paid out upon departure).

Letting someone who knows very little about the industry have a100%  say in your goals

Ever changing. Nothing is consistent.

Noregon is a really great company to work for! They are incredibly employee focused and try to do a lot to show that they really do care about their employees. I've worked in plenty of places that will give you that "work family" line, but Noregon is the only company I've ever worked for that really shows it. 

The only downside is that there is not a lot of room for advancement and the pay is pretty low, given the skills that are necessary for the job.

I would only recommend the help desk position for those who need to gain experience. If you have any real IT experience you are overqualified. They will hire you only until you cant take the constant back to back calls with no method to triage calls fairly among the agents.There is no real room for advancement within the IT sector. You are treated as a number and if you have too many bad days you will be fired.
