Management resorts to threats, manipulation, and false  accusations. Cites inclusive leadership model, however ideal of inclusion is I say, you do, no other options, even though management lacks the experience to manage certain environments. Doesn't attempt to understand situations caused by severe understaffing, instead prefers to lay blame and save face. Expectation is you go above and beyond to bust it for your patients and the facility always no exceptions. However, when it comes down to the time for them to have your back the same way, it falls to a he said, she said situation and even though it may have been as small as just a simple misunderstanding, they still falsely accuse you of dishonesty, when your only concern was helping the physician as was asked/implied, and safely caring for the patient. Even though they state it's never okay to yell at a coworker in front of an awake patient, that happens and despite the supporting evidence to back that up (if your co-workers weren't afraid of losing their jobs, and who can blame them for speaking up and risking losing their job for the truth, it's the right thing to do, but it certainly doesn't pay the bills and won't allow you to keep your home or feed your kids) they still say it's a he said, she said situation. Unfortunately misunderstandings happen and while I will always be grateful for the opportunity my job at TCH afforded me, I wouldn't return to work in such a toxic and unnecessarily stressful work environment unless it's what would be best for my family unit.

HR does not respond to any calls or emails, and if you try to go above them to Admin you will be redirected to HR because they don't have the time to deal with it on top of that no one ever seems to know whats going on, Management/Directors are put in positions they have zero experience in, you have so called lead team members who put blame on anyone else instead of taking responsibility for their actions. With this being a training hospital that's exactly what it is, new employees are asked to train/ oversee other staff members who have been employed longer, so again management is able to put the blame on anyone else to cover their selves. The employees who are hardworking and dependable are over worked, and not appreciated. If you have even the slightest issue and ask to speak to management expect them to not only completely disregarded the issue, expect to be singled out and if it is an issue with another staff member (lead members) expect it to get back to them, and the issue is never resolved. Overall I would recommend doing a little more research into job details and employee rights and handbook. 

My first day I was bamboozled. I was hired as an accounting clerk and they stationed me at the receptionist desk. Accounting VP will make your life miserable if you don’t jump when she says to. Going into my third month she wanted me to work two different accounting departments with no raise. When I denied the offer she gave me an ultimatum to do it or I’ll be let go. She didn’t follow through bc that’s against policy. After that my life there was miserable and my supervisor has no training skills, communication skills, she was lazy and always didn’t  let The work environment became so hostile I was put on medication. When I went to HR about the constant bullying, & hostile work environment I was told there was nothing they could do about it unless more people came forward and her suggestion was that I change departments or just quit.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The pay rate, health insurance and the ability to work from home. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The director of my department criticizing me in front of my coworkers and general attitude towards me. The upper management for not doing anything about it when they found out. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
If they don’t like you they make it hard on you while letting others get away with things. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful because of the way I was treated otherwise I loved what I was doing.

They promote furthering your education but then when you go to school your director won’t allow you the hours you need or sign a transfer form so you can get a job that does accommodate.
I do my job and am good at it but someone who transferred from a different department, who can’t do this job at all, but has been with the hospital longer gets paid more. It’s a joke. When you ask about a raise they laugh and say at your yearly report if you’ve been a good boy or girl you’ll get an extra 10 cents an hour. Even tho you’re doing all the work, fixing all the mistakes, and that other person is making more then $2 an hour more then you.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There's a lot of room for growth, especially if you don't mind changing departments.  There's also a lot of resources available to help you further your knowledge and even maybe change your career path all together. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It's a smaller hospital and i feel some of the policies and procedures are outdated.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Overall NHS is a wonderful place to work. I have met so many wonderful people here and as long as you communicate with your team there's nothing they won't do to help you out.

I have had a good experience working here. My manager goes above and beyond to accommodate your preferred schedule, and is very flexible when it comes to time off, covering other shifts, and working to improve your skill set. 

My main complaint with this employer is that the pay isn't very good. They do not provide income incentives for degree holders, which is disappointing. I don't feel that my education is being used to its fullest potential here.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Great place to work, feels like family. The doctors are wonderful to work with, the staff have a great attitude and everyone was always willing to help. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I would say the most stressful was having a fixed schedule that always included a weekend day, rotating weekends would have been a less stressful option for me.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and helpful, team oriented. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very few bad days, the atmosphere is positive.

each day was something new and learned SO much throughout my experience. Directors were always there and if needed elsewhere, they weere a phone call away. Cared about each employee and wanted the best for them and their patients. The co-workers made me the nurse i am today. they were very detail oriented, early to shift and on time with medicine administration. the hardest part of the job were the hours (7am-7pm) while being pregnant my entire employment. i enjoyed the atmosphere, my coworkers, my managers, and my patients!

Very unclear tier of authority. Never saw the dietary department manager. The dietitian who wasnt even licensed would do most of the managing. There were at least three "acting" managers at a given time that technically were just cooks/diet aides per job description; one of whom would degrade and insult other employees as well as the department manager leading to a tense work environment on top of the physical demands of this job.
