This was the worst job I ever had. Every year they add more work load to you without considering more pay to your salary. They brushed me off when I asked for a raise. They don’t offer any benefits, vacation pay, holiday pay, or room to grow. Kitchen is very dirty so whenever you clean fryers, filters, or stoves they quickly get dirty again. Team members and even managers won’t respect anything that you clean so you constantly have to keep cleaning after them. Walk in is a mess. No other team member will be able to help you with dumping oil or throwing away trash considering that they are old and all ladies so you are more prone to get injured. Management there is a complete joke. This job is also super unstable. Food Director couldn’t even tell me when we all get back from winter break so I can find work to pay bills in the meantime. Also the kids at the school keyed my car And management handled the situation very immature and poorly. Very poor communication and poor place to work. Would not recommend to anyone. This job is only okay if you want a lot of time off.

This company offers no job security. They haven't given any raises to its employees in 5 years. They will not even supply their employees with the required uniforms to preform their job. It is their expectations for employees to constantly come out of pocket for expenses they should be paying for and it take at least 6 months to be reimbursed. I was told to buy my own pens for work because they would not supply me with office supplies. The leadership of the company is outdated and therefor uneducated. The managment team changes over faster than Mcdonald's. The company has not grown in 30 years. Leadership is very unprofessional and offer no support to managment. This is a company that  lacks innovation and is totally uninspiring. Due to the lack of accounts there is zero opportunity for growth. I would never recommend this company to anyone, to work for and also for them to supply services to. Do some research and then DO NOT WORK FOR THIS HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY. They are the joke of the industry.

Religious based company. If you’re a Christian they won’t respect your holidays. From the owners to the regional managers they all will treat you as disposable. They won’t respect your requests or ideas. When menu items are poor they will blame the cooks. Whoever writes the menus and recipes is not trained very well and never tastes the good the cooks prepare. They self promote to make themselves look good. They only let you order the lowest quality of foods. When food committees comes around they won’t show up to hear the residents feedback. When the state shows up, they won’t show up. If they do show up, it’s only for a few minutes and then they will have an “ emergency” at another building. Stay away from this company or any one associated with them. They will throw you under the bus any chance they get. If you do go with them, use them as a brief stepping stone to a true job and happiness!

This company is the worst I ever came across. No leadership, poor management, very high turnover of employees and management. When I left, I would count up to 100 ppl had been gone during my tenure there. Recipes are poorly written, some don’t even tell you how to cook the dish. No 401k, no direct deposit, bounced checks even not good when I have rent or bills to take care of.  even on some days we ran out of food items and usually winds up in a trip to a local supermarket or food wholesale warehouse even though a big food order comes in a few days a week. This company is stuck in the early 1980’s where it begun with the practices and policies that they carry. They have not adapted to today’s 21st century world as a company. I’m glad I’m gone it’s the best thing I could do for myself seriously. This is the realest outlook I can give of the NMSC this is my experience with this company as a whole

I have been with the Company for almost 10 years.   Corporate Team is only a phone call away and the team is willing to work with you to achieve your goals.

The most stressful part about working for the company was the point where finding staff was a challenge.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The staff is respectful to each other and management (Joseph and Kate) genuinely care about the managers  and their wellbeing 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My day begins with scheduling my staff for their daily assignments. I then attend meetings then proceed to complete my reports.  I then handle residents' concerns and issues while supervising the staff

The turnover rate is so high, managers leave because of the amount of slack they have to pick up, the staff makes more money or as much ad managers because of the OT they have to do because of being short staffed all the time, the recipes make no sense, have no methods of preparation, and the kitchen staff doesn't follow the recipes anyway, They'd be lucky to pass any health inspection.

Once I arrive to work at 6am, I cook the consumers breakfast, I then prepare their lunch for their programs. I then clean the kitchen to prepare their lunch and dinner. I am responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen. I also have to refill and stock the kitchen with supplies. I have to learn the diets of all consumers before I prepare the meals. I work alone in the kitchen witch is an awesome thing. I work at my own pace as long as the food is done at the appropriate time. I find it hard sometimes to do this job because its a split shift, and we are not allowed to work the entire day, however the job itself is very easy if you enjoy cooking.

This was a breath of fresh air coming from a different industry. 
No late nights, work 9 hrs and home for dinner every night.  Alternating weekends for managers.  Fair pay if you know how to negotiate.  Full benefits. And positive support from the home office visiting on site with out being overly critical or demanding.  Used to hate having my district manager or VP visit my store at every other job I’ve had.  Love it  when it happens here. 

Employees are paid fair (all well above state minimum wage) and higher with more experience.  Good growth opportunities for people who work. We promoted 5 hourly employees to supervise or higher in 2021 alone. 
Great team mentality in our location. 

As a professional I wouldn't recommend this company. The benefits are terrible. You have to work an entire year to receive benefits!! No vacation no sick until after a full year of employment. You will be docked for all time off even if you are salary. The health insurance is extremely expensive. You get paid monthly with a CHECK that you aren't allowed to cash until 3pm payday!  
Do not apply unless you are desperate and need a check ASAP and plan to keep looking. Management does not support employees it's all about the company. No one is willing to work with you. 
Don't say you haven't been WARNED!!

Awful, potentially harmful work environment for a myriad of reasons, including consistent verbal abuse by residents and other employees as well as legitimate SLANDER. Tipped the scales to heavier work than life balance for no compensation.  Very high employee turnover. Poor compensation, minimal PTO, high insurance premiums with poor coverage. No upper management support of loyal, hard working employees. Discouragement of higher learning. Very poorly run company. If you are desperate for a job, have an attorney on retainer, you will need it.
