I wanted to share some thoughts on the unique and fulfilling aspects of managing an Olgam Life plasma center, as I believe this role offers several rewarding experiences.

Every day, we play a critical role in ensuring the availability of plasma-derived therapies, which are essential for treating various medical conditions. This company doesn't pay enough for the job you’re assigned , it’s extremely stressful trying to balance your personal life and this job as they expect you to dedicate ALL of your time to this place , the “CEO’s” of the company pop in , at first they’re all smiles but then you finally see their true colors , they demand people to do things , they demand for you to break the rules so that  screeners can hurry and push people through , they watch the cameras in the facility 24/7 so that the managers they hired to “Manage” the facility can direct theirselves to workers to force them to do things that are against our SOP , the work environment would be pleasant if it weren’t for them. Donors can disrespect employees and threaten us or even try to get physical and they REFUSE to get security , we’ve been threatened by donors countless times. It’s a highly unsafe work environment and extremely nerve wrecking , if you have anxiety, this is not the work place you’re looking for , if it weren’t for the co workers , that are like family , I wouldn’t have made it.

The people you are working with make this place a great environment! Everyone is friendly and looking out for one another. The biggest issue is the management. Although being a start up it seems like there are a lot of discrepancies on how exactly things should be run at the center. Most people in management have a different opinion on what the proper procedure is. The schedule comes out quite late (two days before the next week starts) however they are pretty open about talking about availability and hours. Another issue is how the center manager is unfamiliar with the operations that happen in the center (the assistant manager is a lot more knowledgeable with daily operations). Overall it is a start up so there are of course going to be issues but a stronger management team - one more eager to gain knowledge and want to serve the needs of the employees equally as they do the employer would make this place a better environment.

Not the best company to work at. Your not always treated fairly and you barely get any holidays. You get get two options either opening or closing and you have to work on Sunday's. They over work you with no reward or acknowledgment. Management always breathing over you constantly. They are very biased and would write you up for minor things. Management is horrible, their is no support or help. Their is basically no HR department so if you have a problem or being mistreated your out of luck. Many people have been threatened and have gotten  physical working here and nobody does anything. Always understaff because people are always quitting, which speaks a lot about the work place. The reviews speak for itself. I would say the only good thing is that you can get trained and it's good for experience. If you choose to work here get your experience and leave.

This company looses a lot of really really great employees due to lack of communication, benefits, salary, development, etc. Higher-Ups pick and choose who to develop and no they don’t pick the workers that work hard! If anything, they abuse and use the hard workers. Phlebotomist’s in there definitely do WAY more than just venipuncture and that pay needs to be raised for the work phlebs do and with the type of people we deal with 10+ hours daily. Also there’s no security or metal detectors so the workers are literally risking their lives. This is the Bronx. This company really needs to make a lot of changes otherwise their already low turnover rate will get even lower. 

First and foremost you do 3 interviews during these interviews they make the company sound so good but here you go: Lpns are hired as "physician substituted" allowing us to handle all medical issues solely and they can continue production if we aren't present. So you would think they would appreciate us... nope. They have LPNs going out of scope if practice assessing a donor doing "physicals" there is no stability with scheduling and they want to float you around. Then they want you to work alone for 12 hours+ and can't leave the building seeing donor after donor and then they want you to cover other positions. 
It's crazy and unfortunate that EMTs were covering this role and was compensated above their pay raise but they won't pay LPNs properly due to us being license. Don't go because you won't be happy. 

The staff makes working here easier. CEO’s lack training in hospitality. They speak to you as if you are an animal on a farm. They will overwork you and refuse to pay you overtime. You will work about 10-12+ hours. You will be dehydrated your entire shift. You will only get a 30 minute break and no 15 minutes after. It is a harmful environment in which you will get threatened by donors and some will get physical but the CEO’s refuse to get security. They are not concerned with the safety of their staff because they are making a huge profit, so they overlook the dangers their employees face everyday. Certain rules and regulations are not being followed. And you must ask no questions. If you are not a “yes ma’am “ type of person this isn’t the job for you. If you are a human being that values respect from your employer this is not the job for you.

DO NOT WORK HERE. You will literally have management micromanage you. Other managers let personal relationships get in between the professional relationship. The CEO and other managers watch you in the camera the entire shift, Which isn't really an issue if you're doing your job. The medical receptionist is NOTHING to what it sounds like. You are not answering phones, booking appointments, etc. You are in a booth 8 hours a day conducting what i can only describe to be a glucose test, But instead of sugar they test for iron and protein to deem a donor eligible to donate. Friendly staff, Unfriendly management. THEY ARE NOT FLEXIBLE WITH YOUR HOURS! Theres is only TWO shifts Opening and Closing. You have to work on Sundays NO EXPECTION! NO ACTUAL HR department. 

Employees want growth and opportunities but the environment and the company culture is toxic. CEO is a child micromanaging every aspect from other locations. They try hiring to create structure and stability, however they won’t implement new or improve their processes in any way. They essentially treat customers like crabs in a barrel for the slaughter to make money from the product they provide. This is a human factory. Learning about plasma and how it is processed was the most interesting part of the job. How the company treats clients and employees is despicable. Attrition is high because they do not value their employees. No benefits, no time, nothing to offer but a weekly paycheck and nitpicking.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management and their lies they come up With everyday . The Lack of accountability from management . Modern day slave owners underpaid . UNDERSTAFF . Donors trying to physically cause harm and management doesn’t do anything unless their threaten .

Horrible . Donors are addicts from the streets . Donors threaten to physically hard phlebotomist
