What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
One of the most stressful parts of working at the company can be the pressure to consistently meet sales goals and performance expectations. The fast-paced environment and high volume of customer interactions can sometimes become overwhelming, especially during busy periods. Balancing productivity, customer satisfaction, and competition among agents can create added stress at times. However, with strong teamwork, clear communication, and support from management, these challenges can be managed more effectively.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is fast-paced, goal-driven, and focused on performance and customer service. Team members are encouraged to stay motivated, work collaboratively, and support one another in reaching both individual and company goals. What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day involves assisting customers, handling inbound and outbound calls, answering questions about products or services, and helping clients find the best solutions for their needs. The day is usually fast-paced and goal-oriented, with a focus on maintaining strong customer service while meeting performance expectations. There is regular communication with team members and management, along with opportunities to learn new strategies and improve sales and communication skills throughout the day.

Id like to start with the pros of this place. The leadership team (NOT higher management) definitely does its best to make sure they can help you learn your way around medicare and achieve sales goals. They will work with you if you are having trouble and are USUALLY very understanding. In addition, the culture and overall vibes are incredible with coworkers and theme. Ive worked many places and this definitely has the most “fun” culture of any place I've been to. 

Addressing the negatives; I will not lie, i obviously do not run the company so I cant see it from certain angles but being a sales representative, it does feel like they dont really want to pay you. There are a lot of instances where they dock your commission 50% for a certain month due to being late or missing days. Theres no grace period so if you're late by a minute they will note it. Also, a doctor’s note doesn’t help you either if you have a sick day or two. Speaking of commission and pay in general, it’s unfortunate to say but this company actually pays some of the lowest for medicare agents in this area that I've seen which REALLY stinks since the culture and people are so great. They offer health benefits but not Dental or Vision. And lastly if you get your license with them, they lock you in for TWO WHOLE YEARS from working at any other agency which feels really grimy. 

I liked it while i worked there but if you are looking for a job in health insurance like Medicare or ACA, i would 100% try to look elsewhere for better pay and a more established company. 

I genuinely enjoy working here and can confidently say it’s one of the best places I’ve been employed. From day one, I’ve always had opportunities to grow and develop even as a Sales Representative. The management team is extremely welcoming, supportive, and responsive, and they truly go above and beyond to make sure you feel comfortable, confident, and on track to reach both your professional and personal goals.
The training is excellent right from the start, and they really invest time into helping you succeed. What stands out the most is that they don’t just focus on work performance they also care about your long-term goals in life, including things like continuing your education.
The work environment is very positive and team-oriented. It feels more like a community than just a workplace everyone communicates, supports each other, and creates a space where you can learn while still enjoying your day. Even though it’s an office setting, it never feels restrictive. There’s flexibility, space to collaborate, and a good balance that allows you to maintain a social connection with your coworkers.
I’ve been here for quite a while, and one of the main reasons I’ve stayed is because it’s rare to find a company that genuinely cares about its employees this much. If you’re looking for a workplace where you can grow, feel supported, and be part of a strong team, I would highly recommend this company.

Its a completely different type of workplace than I was used to, to be honest I didn't believe it was going to be as chill and awesome until I was there for a few months and realized it was legit. I make in 1 day what I used to make in a week in my last job. Hourly is decent but you will make 1-2 times that each month in commissions. The coolest thing is you just have to show up and try I sucked for the first feel months and no one put me on a performance plan or tried to fire me. I got more write ups in every other job then I have ever gotten here. Management works with you in everyway as long as you show up and try, they have told me before if you aren't making extra commissions and you are trying their systems they failed you not the other way around. My last job my boss blamed all the employees whenever something went wrong even when it was his fault and now I am in a place where they literally work with you and build you up. I hope to never leave! I would strongly recommend!  

To say I love my job is an understatement! I came onboard very carefully everyone that I spoke with that worked there absolutely loved it but it honestly sounded to good to be true. I applied and went through the interview process (btw ask how many people applied for the role you will be shocked at how many people that apply but they are just looking for good people). I remember the moment I met the management staff and they said I don't care about your resume if I am a good leader I can teach you any job but I can't teach you to be a good person man that hit home. Everyone is so cool at the office its easy to do great. You get paid hourly plus commission (honestly I was expecting no commission and I was going to be happy with just the hourly and the benefits) but the commission is no joke expect to double your hourly easily in commission. I made over 70k my first year with no experience. If you show up to work, try your best and are positive (the three things they require) you will CRUSH IT!!! It will be the best decision you made i promise you! 

A typical day of work for myself is getting here greeted by great people and management, Selling to my hearts content, take my breaks and be around great people who teach me and like me as a person! it makes me excited to go to work!. Management always makes sure we are trained properly to do and be the best versions of ourselves!. As for the culture well its easily the best part of this job hanging around many different personalities and just getting to make money and be in a good vibe and environment. The hardest part of the job is by far is the training to get the state license. But we have great management who helps out with the studying:) once thats over it gets better and easier from there.(we also pay you to study;)!

Working here has helped me develop valuable sales, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment focused on growth and improvement. A typical day involves staying focused on goals, helping clients, collaborating with coworkers, and continuously learning new strategies. Management consistently looks for ways to improve the team and support employee growth. The most difficult part of the job is staying motivated during slower seasons, since sales can be heavily mindset-driven, but the most enjoyable part is the flexibility, the opportunity to grow professionally, and the positive relationships built with coworkers and leadership.

I've been with Open Access Insurance for about 2 years, and it's honestly been one of the best work experiences I've had. From day one, the team was welcoming and helpful, and management made it clear that they care about their employees, not just as workers, but as people. The work can be slow paced at times outside of AEP and OEP, but there's always support when you need it. Everyone is willing to lend a hand, and that makes a big difference in getting things done without feeling overwhelmed. Communication is open, occasionally there are anonymous review but I’ve always felt comfortable bringing up ideas or concerns. What I really appreciate is the positive atmosphere, people actually enjoy coming to work, and it shows. There’s a real sense of teamwork and mutual respect. I've grown a lot professionally since starting here and feel like my contributions are genuinely valued.
Pros

This job is amazing, you get a set 40 hours every work even during the slow season and you get what you put into the job, this job has taught me the perseverance and consistency does produce results, the management here is very helpful and don't make the work environment very welcoming, the workplace culture is very competitive and motivating they push you to want to do more, i would say the hardest part of the job is definitely when you're first getting started and learning the ropes as it can be demotivating some days not getting as many sales as you would like but once you get over that first initial learning period and get into your own selling groove the job becomes a lot more enjoyable.
