I have been with the company for four years, starting at the front desk, moving into a medical assistant role, and eventually stepping into management. This journey has shown me firsthand that opportunity for growth is abundant for those who demonstrate passion, dedication, and a willingness to learn.

One of the things I appreciate most is how supportive and encouraging management is. Leadership truly invests in employees, offering guidance, training, and opportunities to grow within the company. They recognize hard work and ensure that every team member feels valued, heard, and empowered.

The entire team is collaborative, hardworking, and inspiring, making every day fulfilling and meaningful. The company provides the resources, training, and opportunities needed to excel and advance, while always keeping patient care at the heart of everything we do.

Unfortunately Optima is about quantity not quality. The turnover with providers and staff is horrible and the employees are constantly dealing with upset patients always having to establish with a new providers. If the provider doesn’t order enough testing to upper managements standards the MA’s are constantly getting lectured by hire ups to push for more testing. Determining what testing a patient needs is the not the MAs job, this is the providers call to determine what is necessary. They say you get bonuses but the only bonus ever seen was for Christmas, and my provider was one who saw the most patients and was the busiest, and ordered testing all of the time. They want all patients called back within 24-48 hours but when they squeeze patients in every 15 minutes and have corporate schedulers who don’t know what they are doing mess with providers schedules it’s so frustrating which leaves you no time to complete tasks. They also don’t want MA’s to have more than 5 minutes overtime, but how do they expect us to leave on time when the last patient is at 5:15 and the provider is almost always 30 minutes or more behind due to complex patients being 15 minutes. The pay is decent but I would never work here again. I don’t have anything negative to say about Queen Creeks office manager though. She was great. 

I worked there for a year. Everything is awesome and great at first they’re like oh you’re doing such a great job. And you get a bonus every month if you meet the quota. However, after 4 months depending on the manager you get they start listening to your calls and give you suggestions on how to improve which is great. But then they bing asking you to do more than what you were doing initially such as doing others work with hopes that you get to say yes. If you don’t they being to micromanage you and if you tell them “hey I feel like I’m being micromanage here” they’ll do everything to make you feel uncomfortable and leave.
You have 1:1 meeting with them, with goals and expectations management wants you to do, make sure you Document everything from phone call you have with your manager to team monthly meetings always follow up with an email…. Because if you don’t they will go back on a random month and say they wrote you up and you didn’t meet the quota. At least this way you are able to fight it with the Department of Labor. 

Terrible management. Terrible HR. Hire employees back after being fired and receiving many patient complaints. Its not even owned or ran by doctors; its ran by lawyers that live in New York. They don't spend any money on things needed for the office, but have no problem forking out money for remodeling a perfectly fine office. Patient complain constantly about the turn over rate at the office but they can't keep a manager or staff to save their life. Whatever you do, don't take maternity leave because you won't have a job when you return, and they will wait until the day before you're about to go back to let you know that they filled your position. 

I did get experience in my job, but support for your work is non-existent. Forget about family time it is all about money. Patient care seems to be at the bottom of the  pile. Management cares about how to save money and not about employees or providers. Play their game and you will be fine. Start asking questions about patient care and you will be gone. 
Be a rude provider who sees you for five minutes or less but sends insurance a long bill and you get ahead. 
Remember what middle school felt like with backstabbing and talking about co-workers (including providers) and making up stories because that's what it feels like. 

The focus is on maximizing billing, not patient care, with minimal communication and no collaboration. Leadership is unqualified, composed of family and friends, and lacks direction, prioritizing profits over staff and patient well-being. 

There are no office meetings or interdepartmental communication. The workplace culture is isolated, transactional, and entirely driven by financial incentives. The reviews on Indeed are accurate.


Money is the only thing mgmt cares about, to the point of being disingenuous about services rendered. Patient care is not important to the company, they only care about how much money they can squeeze out of patients and their insurance. Their reputation in the community is horrible among patients, specialists, and other providers. They are vindictive and litigious to anyone in the way of making money.  Seriously not enough bad things I can say about this company. 

This company has a severe turnover problem, and it’s not hard to see why. Poor leadership, constant micromanagement, and a culture of bullying make it an unhealthy workplace. Management lacks basic understanding of both clinical operations and effective leadership, yet feels comfortable controlling and criticizing staff instead of listening to them.

Patient care is inconsistent and suffers due to constant staffing changes and low morale. Employees are overworked, undervalued, and discouraged from speaking up, which is alarming in a healthcare setting.

I would not recommend this company

The friends you make cause you’re both suffering. Misery loves company. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything. Patients are rude. Management doesn’t care about staff. HR and corporate just cares about money. Communication is terrible. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy. Busy. Busy. 
Correction. 
Chaotic. Chaotic. Chaotic. 
Medical offices are busy, that’s to be expected. But it is so chaotic that it becomes unprofessional.
