Optimized Senior Living

I worked at Optimized Senior Living, and honestly, my experience was terrible and incredibly stressful. In House 2, it started with 10 residents, but then they decided to split one room, bringing the total to 11 residents. I was mainly by myself there, with only a float who had to manage both houses. In House 1, there were 2 caregivers, but the float still had to help both houses, making it even more overwhelming. Despite being already stretched thin, they added yet another resident to House 2, making it even worse.

On top of that, I was made to pass medication, and I genuinely don’t think it was safe for me to do so, since I wasn’t trained or certified. It was a huge responsibility that I wasn’t prepared for, and I was very uncomfortable being put in that position. Things were also very dramatic with some coworkers being abusive, and while management did address it, nothing was properly resolved. It was honestly a toxic environment, and I never felt supported. The entire experience was just draining and chaotic, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I’m going to start off by saying this is a beautiful facility, but that does not make up for its flaws. There are very few STNAs working here, most not even CNAs. While I was employed here there was no nurse on the floor. The aides have far too many responsibilities including, cooking, cleaning, laundry, med pass, and caring for the residents. I do not feel like management is taking covid seriously as they do not always wear masks/ wear them properly and neither do the other workers. I often saw managers on their phones or facetiming while in the facility. This facility has a lot of potential but I feel like management needs to be more willing to help, properly train new hires, and get the necessary staff. 

Constant belittlement and no acknowledgement of the good work you do. Lack of respect. Management will bring you down and make you feel as if you have no worth. Very stressful to go into work everyday not knowing what you may walk into. I found myself going home and crying or in a bad mood. Stayed longer than I should have because I loved taking care of the residents  I’m glad I no longer work there. The owners, however, are very sweet and I wish them the best 

Optimized Senior Living is such a positive work environment. Since I’ve started I feel I’ve learned so much. Everyday I get to spend quality time with my residents like having conversations with them about their past, washing and styling their hair, trimming and painting their nails. The most enjoyable part of the job is getting to know your residents, knowing their likes and dislikes, their past, and their families. Overall Optimized is a great place to work with the best employees! 

this place will drain every ounce of energy from you, all while not giving you enough money to live your life. the residents they bring in are not assisted living at all & their memory care unit might as well be psych. if you enjoy being overworked, underpaid & underappreciated you will absolutely love it here. 

Like any job. Optimized is not perfect but they are willing to try. The residents are definitely cared for. Management is always on the floor willing to do whatever is needed. Even the owner will work on the floor. You are truly cared about. The job isn't easy as is no nursing job but you are blessed daily changing lifes. I actually enjoy going to work everyday  

I wasn’t able to stay for long, management is HORRIBLE and rude, delusional to the problems staff are experiencing. Caregivers expected to work 12 hours with only 30 min break, and lift residents, sometimes alone.  Barely any training yet so much is expected from staff. Turnover here is very high and many people are wanting to leave.

 They do not care about their employees. Extremely overworked. Management is lazy, and pawns off work to brand new caregivers while they literally sit around. My very first week there I was by myself with 12 patients with high needs, and it was very stressful and hard on my body. Training is terrible.

I love Optimized. We are definitely far from perfect but everyone here is so compassionate and kind. Everyone is always willing to help no matter who they are and what they do. Just overall  really awesome company to work for. 

I love my co workers, my residents, my schedule, my assignments, I just love optimized like nowhere I've ever been before, its a family home for the residents and the workers too !
