After working internationally for 8 years, I was looking for somewhere that would be a good fit for my eagerness to serve others and learn new things. I have worked at OOM for 6 years now and am proud to work alongside of the team here. The environment is upbeat, the pace is perfect for what I was looking for, and the types of appointments are diverse and me on my toes with learning. I appreciate that this isn't an urgent care for sick people (I have 3 littles at home that don't need exposure to any more germs) and love that we are working to serve the both individuals and companies. Every workplace has its quirks, but I've been able to help at the multiple locations and in various roles and would recommend working here. Overall a great place to work if you are looking to work hard, learn a lot, and serve the working class in the Portland-Metro area.

Prior to working for Oregon Occupational Medicine I worked for large company with very high workload and too many daily meetings. The switch to OOM was perfect for me. I receive patient referrals from providers at OOM mostly and we communicate easily through Teams. Patient care comes first for me and for the entire team. I treat no more than 12 patients a day and the average is 8 so there is plenty of one on one patient care time. Spanish speaking patients have in person interpreters. The medical charting system is unique to occupational medicine and easy to learn and use. Administration is supportive of continuing education and provides reimbursement for courses taken, licensure. There are incentives for attendance as well as job performance.  I highly recommend this employer!

Currently working at the Hillsboro Location and I am just blessed to be working for a great team!  We are constantly working as a team. Constant communication and respect. I love my Manager and I love the people that I work with. It’s definitely a busy environment which makes my day go super super fast and at the same time my manager and co-workers are constantly helping each other! I’m truly amazed by such a loving and understanding staff! This is definitely a place to work for!   

I enjoyed the area and procedures associated with Occupational Medicine. This was a very fast paced clinic where each day came with a new surprise or challenge. I learned a lot of new materials regarding DOT examinations, OHSU regulated exams and the USCIS immigration process.

This clinic was a walk in based clinic with a lot to expect. Most exams were worker's Comp and immigration. However the clinic could easily be filled with other exams such as police and fire fighter exams. There was always something new to learn about the requirements for each exams.

Poor training and management. Manager lacks professionalism and favors stuff. Too much work little pay and not enough benefits. Manager yells at stuff in front of patient’s  Showing poor professionalism.

Very unprofessional placed to work. Guidelines that were available were constantly changing. Supervisor sat behind a portable wall listening to your every move, and blurted out information at random while eating very loudly.
