A typical day at work involved performing daily system import task, meeting and collaborating with manager and coworker on system review task, and system deadlines and all task that we must complete before deadlines.

I learned how to assist in the preparation and implementation of a hosted website, understand technical terms, and how to prepare presentations to assist website users on using the site.

The management team was a new team established by the firm when I first started. Some coming from non managerial positions and others coming from management positions that were not related directly to the role. So it was a learning process for us all.

I have one lateral coworker outside of my supervisor and we collaborated well to achieve the task that we were assigned.

My passion is driven to help individuals in which I can display to the best of my ability on this job however I do not want to utilize my desire to help people in a technical environment. So I would say the hardest part of my job is learning a role that I don't have a sincere intrest for. I would like to transition into role that involves helping people on a higher level in the Higher Education arena.

The most enjoyable part of my job is that I have the ability and expertise to create tools that will help the website users have a seamless process.

They keep growing and adding new broker dealers and Financial Professionals but not adding to the support staff to be able to keep up with the added workload. I love my job and I do feel appreciated but work life balance is not what it was 5 + years ago. Long hours and heavy workload really start to weigh on your mental and physical health. There are a lot of projects in the works for system improvements. I just keep hoping things will turn around. Expectations and department procedures are constantly changing but changes aren't put in writing. There is a lack of detailed written desktop procedures and no training materials for new hires from management or company. Learning to do your role is a matter of blindly navigating who to ask for what and hoping person who knows how to do something doesn't quit before passing on their knowledge instead of having things written down. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
When you leave the firm.  Their technology is in the 20th century systems are constantly breaking down and they will not upgrade.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Old technology, they will not update. It’s a constant battle for employees and the reps that have to use the system.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
as this company grows communication  breaks down even more. All they’re interested in is money and not paying their employees for what they are worth.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working on broken platforms that need constant patchwork. With frustrated reps and assistance calling in.

A typical day at work would involve, clocking in, making social posts for various Advisor Group clients, and taking multiple online courses focused on using the program Indesign.
I learned how to better use multiple programs such as Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Light Bridge.
I enjoyed the management staff very much.
The hardest part of this job was commuting from the East Valley to Phoenix every day.
The most enjoyable part of this job was being able to be creative, and push myself to come up with continuous ideas for the company.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The back office team at corporate is great. The branch office location is easy to get to and the people that work in the building are wonderful

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The unpredictable calendar, the lack of appropriate over site , micromanaging, and mixed messages on what is allowed/appropriate in the office. Inappropriate questioning regarding religion.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Small cubby space with a bit of storage. Nice desk.
Laptop with two external monitors 
Window that is covered due to ugly view. People that work in the building (for other companies) are great.

The work life balance and people are splendid to work alongside. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
N/A everyone is expected to use time management wisely and give their best every day. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Overall very positive experience. Laid back and welcoming. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Typical day starts with opening Teams, answering any ad hoc questions or concerns. review the different workflows I am skilled to review, approve or assign. check my email boxes and do the morning follow ups. Repeats step 1&2 and step 3 as needed.

The salary at AG is extremely low for the expectation and duties they look for. It gets pretty busy around here and the pressure comes down on the employees. Mandatory overtime also comes into play when there’s a ton of work to be done. As a brokerage/financial investment company the salary should be higher then they offer. The salary is a big concern at AG. The work environment is okay however management tend to not know how to separate work life and personal life and will talk nasty to employees. AG will provide food every once in a while. The benefits are pretty decent  and you receive a yearly bonus based of your performance.

Company has been growing rapidly and will continue.  Being a part of the growth is always exciting.  There are many opportunities to move in the company. Management willing to invest in personal development if you put in the work. The firm will sponsor you to obtain licensing should you wish to obtain it. It truly is up to you how far you would like to grow. Great exposure. I have truly enjoyed working with a very diverse and inclusive team from all over the country.

My managers and the major majority of back-office colleagues seem to care and want to support each-other. Phone lines can be challenging; and morale can sometimes be low.

I can't speak positively on the current Tech situation - but I choose to remain optimistic since with any transitions comes challenges.

The recent bonus situation followed by layoffs stunk, no other way to word it.  However, I stay positive about Osaic's future and am grateful to be with Osaic where I do have the ability to assist and make a difference with the advisors I support. Dynamic work environment, lots of learning opportunity.

Advisor Group is  great place to work with few flaws, though it presented few technical challenges. Training is a bit sparse but once you pick up the process it is very simple. It can be stressful and a bit chaotic during busy times. Management is great top to bottom, but off site for the most part. Co-Workers, for the most part, are phenomenal.  Personal issues forced my exit, otherwise I would still be there. Highly recommended.
