I was hired as a Reverse Mortgage LO, I came from the "forward mtg" side of business. The Head of the Reverse Mortgage Division is young, and one of the most talented, hard working, man of integrity I've worked for in 20 years in the lending business. I had to leave PRMG due to personal reasons, and it haunts me. PRMG will become Leader in the Reverse Industry with the individual they have building and running it. I don't think I've met the individual who wrote the comment below about management in this Division, because everyone here loves the guy, and after spending 2 months with him, can tell you that the claims below are a false and misleading representation of a truly remarkable guy. I hope that review doesn't negatively impact someones decision to work here, you would be missing out if you feed into the terrible and false info below.
Keep up the good work **e*, you inspired me in a short time knowing you, keep being a strong leader, and I am sorry for the review below, you don't deserve that. 

Tip to owners: give this Division a real sales floor to operate in, the current setup was not only hindering production and near impossible to hear the person on the other end of the phone, but it will scare any seasoned MLO away. You guys have a strong talent leading it, great technology and support, to ruin the experience by not moving this team to an real sales floor would be a complete shame.

First of all, if you join PRMG please realize that there is no salary even though you are W2 employee and it will take months to build a pipeline. So, this means you will need 3-6-12 months of funds to survive and that includes money for marketing, printing, shirts, lunches for you and real estate agents, etc..This is like running your own business with very little if any support. If you are seasoned loan officer with a big pipeline this is a probably a good fit, but if you are starting from scratch this is not a good choice unless you have enough money to comfortably build your business over the next year. There is no workplace since their is no office and in my case working from my home office. This has some benefits and some clear challenges, I wish the company ran like a real company and not a distribution center for rouge branch managers to run their business differently then other branches. So, you could get lucky and get a great manager who is concerned about your career, income and growth within the company or you can get the exact opposite. 
The most enjoyable thing about being a loan officer is helping people purchase a home or get cash out to give their existing home a face-lift.  I wish all the best!

What is the best part of working at the company?
In my opinion, PRMG is a team driven organization that thrives on meeting the needs of the clients with a togetherness attitude. I remember someone in upper management stating on a call, when 1 do well, we ALL do well.  I loved the team spirit and motivation there. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
With most companies, there's numerous trainings and zoom calls, and you want to learn as much as possible while trying to meet your daily goals.  I really had to prioritize and learn how to balance it all. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment was very pleasant.  The underwriting team was PHENOMINAL to work with.  I greatly appreciated the group of people I had a pleasure to work with. The training you get surpasses anything I've ever witnessed. There was always someone to lend a helping hand, and MOBY was an awesome tool. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I enjoyed going to work, our branch was busy but pleasant; it never felt stressful at all.

PRMG was a good experience for me. I did not have experience in mortgage before working here, and I believe it was a great step at getting my feet in the door.

 My manager for the majority of my time with PRMG was a fantastic leader. He, as well as my other coworkers, were always very helpful and I NEVER felt lost or stuck with any task. 

A lot of my work was through an Email Inbox where I directly talked to many of the Account Executives, Account Managers, Loan officers, Underwriters, etc. 
Out of the thousands of emails I handled over nearly three years, I truly cannot say a single person I interacted with here was pretentious or tough to communicate with. I felt like everyone I was involved with had a great sense of purpose and wanted to get things done the right way, even if it caused headaches.

Unfortunately, I was laid off due to the awful rise in interest rates lately.  The layoff did feel abrupt, but I can't say I felt any ill will towards anybody involved- it's business. 


Being a Loan Originator is a challenging job.  Everyday you have to seek out new opportunities for the next loan.  In doing so we are provided by PRMG and management so many forms of education and tools to expand the and advance ourselves.  Management embraces ideas, technology and tools to keep PRMG moving forward  and ahead of the competition.  We can always count on the support of staff to help us work through a difficult situation.  There is a Family culture that is passed down from the owners to management and staff.  Everyone is equally important and made to feel that way.  The most difficult part of our job is to have a client that desperately wants to buy a home and they don't qualify - at the moment.  Given time, encouragement and the the clients desire to be a homeowner we work together to get our clients into their dream home.  There is no feeling like the joy and accomplishment  when you can close that tough loan.  And that doesn't happen without the assistance of the PRMG programs, staff, management, your willingness to put forth the extra effort and time.

This company supersedes any expectation I had when I made the career move over a year ago. Great support system, great compensation, and wonderful people to work with and for. There's always room to grow and there are constantly opening up new opportunities and positions. Every day I look forward to coming to work and don't leave disappointed. There are so many resources that are just a click away and if you can't find your answer, there are many other sources at your fingertips!
PRMG is also dedicated to helping others. If they find out that you or a loved one is in a health bind, they will go out of their way to help and involve other employees of the company to help as well. Every quarter we start off with 3500 points to give out to other employees in the company and can use points received at the Paramount Shoppes and purchase company products including shirts, office supplies, marketing material, etc.

1. Was reporting to two people who had no operations experience including underwriting, processing, closing, quality control, compliance, etc

2. Sales focused management who provides no support for operations

3.  Human Resources oblivious on what is happening, always blames the employees when they need to take a second look at management.  Hiring managers who have no experience being in the positions they are hired for  ex: friends hiring friends

4.  Management who have no concept of underwriting ex: investor requires more information, doesn't mean the underwriter did anything wrong, the investor just wants more information to support what is already in the file.  Every investor is different

5.  Constantly having to respond to long condescending emails causing distractions from an underwriting standpoint making you feel incompetent

PRMG has great resources and training. However, their growing pains are pushing some out the door. Management has stayed behind the lines trying to improve turn times, while front line originators and branch managers have been dealing with upset borrowers, sellers and real estate agents.
It is a shame that corporate management has not been out In front of the issues by providing written communication that can be transmitted to all parties explaining the situations at hand. 
Other mortgage companies are experiencing some of the same issues (although not nearly as severe) and are able to provide accurate timelines that keep business moving forward.

Right now the grass really is greener on the other side and hopefully they will get it together quickly.


They make the LO pay for client credit inquiries out of their own pocket or ask client to pay upfront. No training at all even if you are a new LO. They send you You tube videos to watch here and there and manage from behind e mails and phone calls. Its frowned upon to ask questions or ask for help on loan applicants, and when you do you are most likely given a best guess which turns out wrong. Clients are given wrong info then.  If you part ways with company they will not give you a clear answer as to whether you will be paid on a deal that is thru underwriting and only waiting to close that you have worked on for months. Shady business practices. I was told "fake it till I make it" which seems very unethical as I try my best to give clients real and honest answers. I would not recommend.

As the most experienced software representative at Corvisa(LenderX), I was offered a position with PRMG. PRMG is one of the largest clients of my former employer. PRMG is a mortgage company that has set up an appraisal management center (AMC) in order to stay compliant with HVCC guidelines. Because I am in daily communication related to the progress of appraisal inspections and the delivery of appraisal reports, I have gained valuable relationships with appraisers, real estate agents and mortgage brokers. I work in a remote location with one other employee, who I have personally trained on company process and software capabilities. We are responsible for assigning new orders and proactively seeking status on existing orders in order to assist PRMG with closing loans in a timely fashion.
