I worked at Partner for about 6 months only to be laid off due to COVID. Totally not their fault that their business had gone down due to the pandemic and in the long run it was a blessing in disguise as I found a much better position and am much happier.

Partner is a decent company with decent folks for the most part. They run things a bit archaically, in comparison to other professional firms in which I have contracted or worked (in different industries). It is kind of like working for a company in the 90’s.

I am not adept on the ins and outs of environmental engineering, but those who are engineers at Partner appear knowledgeable and passionate about the work that they do. And when I started, they were very busy. One caveat is that they overworked some – dangling possible advancement for their dedication. I guess for someone really wanting to be in that field it was worth it but I feel like there may be other positions (pre-Covid) that were not so harsh and unfair to a person’s work-life balance.

My trainer was very dedicated and good at their job and quite amiable most of the time – although they could be quite harsh (i.e., would not go over well in another industry at all) in electronic communication with myself and the project managers that they scheduled. There was a lot of virtual ‘hand-slapping’ that left one feeling very unenthusiastic. This person was quite possessive and authoritative about their position and I feel like my performance was (possibly unintentionally) squashed and then relayed in a somewhat biased way. The director I was supporting had complete trust in my trainer, so it was difficult to speak up. It wasn't terrible, though. Again, everyone was very nice and I think trying to streamline within the parameters to which they were accustomed.

Project management is done in a somewhat rudimentary way and could be easily streamlined/modernized to yield better results with less work, but they are not interested in any changes, and were tight with purse strings. I felt ideas were dismissed quickly and while they conveyed they were interested in initiatives, in my experience that was not the case and had I stayed I think I would have just learned to keep it zipped. 
While the folks there were nice, I didn’t find a lot of respect for the ‘whole person’ at Partner as is the case at many modern companies. One example may be COVID response – again, although it was not their fault business took a hit in the pandemic, I believe to some degree the pandemic was used to cut back work force and maintain revenue streams without much thought for the employees' well-being. 

The work culture, while bland was pleasant enough. The biggest negative is that they say they don’t expect you to work the hours they do (like 12-15 hour days) but I think that if you don’t show similar undying devotion, you may be looked at as a bad employee. Again, they were not harsh but I now feel that work life balance isn't something that should be mentioned there without being frowned upon, there was just some inconsistency in words and action. Again, it felt a bit outdated in culture and process.

Overall, Partner is a good company with lots of potential for future growth and I am grateful for the opportunity. I did not make any lasting relationships there professionally as it was a bit hard to get to know anyone. None of their kinks are business blowers or a reason not to try employment there – I think there are other departments that I may have found a passion for, had my employ been longer. All in all, things worked out for the best for me and I wish them well moving forward.

This is my first time working at a desk job, so I came in with 0 expectations. I usually start my day at 8am but if I started at 8:30 for some reason it wouldn't be the end of the world. My breaks would just have to be 30 min total instead of a full hour. But being able to choose when and how you take your breaks makes that easy to do. Most of the roles here you will be on a smaller team, but you don't all work in the office or time zone. Which makes communication a little getting used to. For instance, if you are in the eastern time zone and first thing you need to do is get a response from someone about a question. They haven't gotten back to you in two hours and it's frustrating. You have to remember if they are in the mountain or pacific time zone their day hasn't even started yet. Was something I really had to get used to. But the office I am at, and hear that most offices are like this, we try to have lunch together or take a walk to get away from the desk for a bit. So, it feels like you have 2 teams. The one you work on and the one with the people you physically work with. I have learned coming in with 0 experience in this position that it is a very fast paced environment. I enjoy that although we are a global company everyone treats it like we are still small. They want everyone to feel welcomed and get to know their coworkers. It is a relaxed environment in the sense that things are always changing. There isn't a specific protocol for everything little thing. Sometimes you have to go with the flow if something needs to change. I feel from what I have seen Partner is a company where the people are more important than the product. In the sense that if a bunch of people were miserable in their position and we made the most money we ever have the CEO, President and all the executives would not see that as a win. They want people to enjoy what they are doing because it can be very taxing when we are busy. 

Typically, work is 9-5, but deadlines add pressure making work from home, or after hours almost a necessity. 

The position is basically one of project management because of all of the coordination, multi-tasking, organizing, and time management that is required.

The pay is terrible considering the level of expertise required and the value of the product that is produced, so I feel extremely undervalued by the company, but not necessarily by co-workers. 

Overall, the people in the office are really nice and good to work with. People are patient and allow you to manage your own schedule. 

Very good learning experience due to the amount of interaction with all types of people and clients on a daily basis. 

Generally, the work is dry, technical, and opinionated, but it is also extremely detail oriented and mundane. There is an insane level of redundancy that comes with the work. 

Organization is required, multi-tasking is extremely important, and the projects are all very similar. 

This position is essentially data entry, but requires technical expertise and a very detail oriented personality. 

Benefits are pretty good, but you have to hang in there for a year. The company will pay for your cell phone bill because you use it a lot for business calls and for emails and such.

I was contacted through LinkedIn to interview with Partner Engineering a while back.  I took time off from my current job and drove at least 100 miles to interview.  The interview seemed very promising, I was told by the interviewer that I was qualified for the engineering position, the nature of the work I would be performing and that he wanted to hire me (but had to talk to the higher-ups, not so fast on uncorking any champagne).  

Partner Engineering asked about my current salary and said they could match it and I could work close to home.  I took the "bait" and  jeopardized an interview with another organization for that same day.  I was told that I would be getting a call for another interview and I left feeling very confident.  Days turned into weeks and after one month had passed I followed up with the interviewer.  I was told that I was still the only candidate being considered (which was a lie because a few days later I got an automated rejection letter where I was told there were more qualified candidates that they wanted to consider).

I was wanting to change jobs and try something different but this experience was a build-up for a big letdown (e.g. don't call us we'll call you and hope you don't follow up).  I feel for candidates who are out of work, that need to be working and are running out of time; and to be toyed with and jerked around by a company that is about as fickle as a four-year old is inexcusable.  Beware of any job postings and recruitments from Partner Engineering where all they want is your personal information and even your Facebook profile on their database.

Partner has been a great career choice for me thanks largely in part to the support I've received from my peers, my supervisor, and management. I'm always encouraged and supported to learn new skills/disciplines to stay relevant in the due diligence industry.  Hard work is often recognized and rewarded.  I've personally experienced advancement within the organization, and have witnessed a significant number of co-workers advance in their careers here as well. 

The people are the best part of working at Partner.  Management genuinely cares about the employees and makes decisions in the employees' best interests.  Coworkers are generally polite and caring and helpful- teamwork is a big deal at Partner.  Don't get me wrong- it's not all rainbows and unicorns (all the time).  It's work, and work isn't always fun.  But it's a "please and thank you" kind of company which makes it a comfortable place to be.  

Partner is definitely the industry leader in due diligence services- the workload shows it.  So it can sometimes feel daunting when you see the new projects come in daily.  This is definitely a good problem to have sure.  Luckily Partner has resources in-place to forecast and help relieve the pressure.

At the end of the day, it's great to feel appreciated for your hard work not only from peers and supervisors, but also from those in upper management roles.  They listen.  They know.  They care.

The CSS position is high stress, high work-load and the Project Managers are too buried under their own projects to be able to help much.
This is the sort of company that excels in quantity over quality. If you enjoy pumping out report after report, this is the place for you.
If you want to enjoy doing the work, you are better off looking elsewhere.
If you are looking for at least a modicum of positive reinforcement or the proverbial pat on the back, better off going elsewhere.
The pay-scale barely rates the level of experience they are hoping to get and they generally want someone who will just keep quiet and do the work without complaint.
The recruiter will ask you about your pay rate, but will try and whittle you down to around $16 an hour before offering you the job.
Expect to pay a big chunk of your earnings toward the "benefits" package.
Ask about the average learning curve you will have to wade through before you get comfortable as training is ad-hoc at best or non-existent at worst.
Keep an eye on the turn-over rate and ask about that during the interview. If they dither or try and change the subject, thank them for their time and leave. You may be next to go.

While I have been with Partner it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The work environment here is nothing short of amazing. Here are a few highlights:

One of the standout features of Partner is its collaborative culture. Teamwork is deeply ingrained in our day-to-day operations. Everyone, from the management to the newest team members, is approachable and supportive. We frequently brainstorm together, share ideas, and work collectively towards our goals. This synergy not only enhances our productivity but also makes the workplace enjoyable.

3. Supportive Management:
The leadership at genuinely cares about employees' well-being and professional growth. They are always open to feedback and make an effort to provide the necessary resources and support. Regular one-on-one meetings and team huddles ensure that everyone is on the same page and any concerns are promptly addressed.

It is first important to know they are actively still "laying off" people without warning whenever they decide to go a different direction with a dept, which is ever-changing. 

Partner seems great at first.  At hiring they'll come off very relaxed, respecting of your time, etc.  I worked in 2 depts in 3 years and inconsistency was key--managers contradicting each other, unclear tasks, directions/job description constantly changing day to day.  

Teams is used to "hop on a call" about every ten min to discuss something that should've been an email, interrupting all workflow.  

Was told at hiring the company was doing great, no money issues--I specifically asked.  I was told week after week excellent work, never had a single complaint.  Received a call one day with no warning or even hello that they were letting me go for financial reasons.  Salary was already low-end for my job, which I only accepted to remain remote.  This lay off was done with no sentiment, apology, warning, or severance. 

Being "remote" status is also a temporary gesture that the regional manager constantly attempted to revoke.  You will be harassed to come in to their tiny, rented offices on the outskirts of your city to sit at a makeshift cubicle, regardless of agreed upon terms before hire. 

I've had the opportunity to work at Partner Engineering & Science in a role that allowed me to collaborate across many departments and help improve processes, systems, and communication. One of the things I appreciate most is that employees who are proactive and solutions-oriented can make a meaningful impact, regardless of title.
The company is full of knowledgeable and hardworking people who genuinely care about clients and supporting one another. I've had opportunities to work directly with leadership, contribute to important initiatives, and help shape improvements that have benefited teams across the organization.
As with any growing company, there are challenges. Priorities can shift quickly, and navigating change requires flexibility and strong communication. However, for someone who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement, and building relationships across teams, there are many opportunities to grow and contribute.
