What is a typical day like for you at the company?
The first couple of months I worked there, thing's went smooth, good training, friendly co-workers, easy work, etc. But around the Thanksgiving holiday and onward is when things went south, the manager would set an expectation for us and I followed it to a tea, but that wasn't good enough and the management would never acknowledge you when you did something good, they would only acknowledge a person, if they didn't 'do enough' according to them, or if they used the restroom 'too much' (I worked part time and management would get mad when I would use the bathroom even if it was one time during the day.) Overall, the management is the primary reason why I quit, it is very unprofessional and just like a Junior High gossip group, Management downgrading and gossiping about you and your coworkers with others behind closed doors, The unprofessional conversations, and the fact that they will pick at every tiny thing you did wrong, while half the they would gossip was really discouraging and felt downgrading to an extent. In conclusion, the MA's and Doctors that I worked with 10/10 sweethearts, but the Call Center, more specifically the management, 0/10, very unprofessional and negative towards staff with unrealistic expectations, do not work in this department of this company unless you feel like getting borderline downgraded.

I feel like I have a purpose when I work at this company. This company really cares about their patients and they have really good Healthcare providers here. I am proud to contribute and help the patients to get access to the great providers that are at these clinics. I also like the employees and the managers that work here because they care about each other. There is a lot of potential at this company because the patients really love the service that this company provides for them. However, I just feel like there isnt a strong company culture here because I feel that there isnt a strong bond between the management and the employees. I feel like there are two teams at this company, the management and the employees. The managers and the employees have great respect for each other, but I feel that the management and the employees are divided. I believe that if we had weekly or monthly meetings, and got the employees engaged with the managers goals and agendas, there would be a stronger bond between the management and the employees. This would boost work morale for the employees and it would also increase their motivation, because then the employees would actually feel part of the company's goals and projects. The employees would feel more engaged alongside the managers and they would work harder and be more happier knowing that they are part of one team. This would create a really great company culture, one in which everyone is part of one team and is really happy to be working towards one huge goal.

I've been waiting for an opportunity to advance in my career for over a year and still nothing. During my interview I was given the promise to work back office and that I'll only be in call center during my 90 day probation. Look at me.now! I went to school to become an actual medical assistant not to be part of a call center. I want to have a CAREER...not another job! I told management about my desire to advance in the company and that I'm willing to learn anything else other than call center so I can at least have some kind of experience. After a year,  I'm currently waiting for the opportunity. Favoritism is a big part of the company. I used to think that the bad employees were the ones that wrote the bad reviews just so they can get back at the company. Look at me now.... again!

At PCP for life you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge about primary care that is for any age. You will learn based on a persons age what type of preventive measures you need to remain healthy for a long time. Working here I have learned many skills starting with basic blood draws, injections, various office procedures, preparing for treatments, and learning to deal with different people and their personalities. Being able to advocate for patients to help with their medical needs. I always liked to feel that I am making a difference in someones life even if it’s just a shot that will make them feel better or even open ear when patients need someone to listen to them. We have always aimed for quality care for our patients to meet their health goals. 

They only care about you answering high volumes of calls without truly resolving the patients problems.  Many patients call over and over to try to get their issue resolved but it may take even weeks to get things done for them.  Management bullies their employees by talking down to them.  I was fired for not reaching the number of calls they expected and when I filled for unemployment,  the managers told the unemployment agency that I quit.   I tried to dispute it but the unemployment agency took their word over mine. 

I love my coworkers, and my patients. They never had a complains or concerns about me, coworkers were helpful & very willing to teach.
Really, the only issue I had was with management. Micromanagement & unprofessionalism with their employees is the reason why i’m leaving. I worked for 5 months & they tell you at the interview on the 90days period(3month) they will give you a raise accordantly which it didn't happen.
Also, you will look for your own coverage if not you may not get approved those days. Also, theyy deill  getbon you infront ofcoworkers & patients adnd talking to ou private,($3

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing, patients can never get an appointment with the doctor, only nurses and this upsets them

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Upset patients because the doctor is never available or out of country

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Fast paced environment. Drama between employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy with rescheduling patients because the doctor is gone

Please do not apply to this job!!! I can’t stress enough how much stress I was under, being there was the worst decision I ever made. Management sucked!! The pay was terrible for how much they want you to do! Don’t get me started on the PA there, her team didn’t do any work, they expected us to do it all for them and then get mad if it wasn’t done their way! They make you travel to FAR locations for the same small pay, and their providers there were even worse. I was warned about this place and I didn’t listen, please just keep scrolling!!! 

Rules, but, everyone needs to follow rules wherever they go,  its something that in some ways helps to get yourself together. Managers are very good people,  but only if you decide to demonstrate your skills, if you are a hard worker and good at your abilities, they will notice that, they are always with an eye on you ,to make sure you doing your best... I liked the time I spent with them, Iam thankful for the opportunity  I had with the company, excellent for a first time job....

The work environment was very stressful and the manager does not care one bit about their staff but work,work,work. This company does not give you the pay you desire, as a cma they are the lowest paying job, and they are all ways hiring cma because they are leaving .this company will switch you between all offices.the only good thing about this job is you can be late for work as many times that you want to and want get FIRED. , if a company has a lot of turn overs from staff be ware!
