What is the best part of working at the company?
The staff works really hard and well as a team.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I was there for eight months  with no support from management. The phone didn't work, I had to use my own phone without any compensation. My computer would not work with the printer for months, I had to ask my coworkers to print what I needed. Wasn't fixed when I left. The job add offered a 401, they didn't have one. The  chair they gave me had a board sticking out of it and scraped my megs regularly. The facility was decent, but they were not gonna spend a dime on the workers.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The only thing that made the environment, tolerable was the coworkers. Absolutely no support for management. I felt pretty invisible to them, meanwhile I was loved by the clientele. Who I also cared for deeply.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Been totally frustrated. With no printer things took way too long. It ended up working about 50 to 60 hours a week on a salaried wage. Way too busy, needed an additional nurse on staff, which they would not support. So the days I often could not see all the residents, or take care of all their needs as quickly as necessary.

The revolving door of administrators, nurses, and other managerial personnel has created a pattern of instability and inconsistency within the organization. This lack of continuity directly impacts the hourly staff who provide care to residents, leading to diminished quality and continuity of care. Long-term staff, as well as families and residents, often caution new managers about the high turnover, with some directors leaving after only a week. This constant managerial turnover undermines the development of meaningful relationships, trust, and confidence, making it difficult for teams to work cohesively.
The company's reputation within the industry precedes it; poor management practices and high turnover rates are well-known. In addition to this, the organization fails to provide adequate training and support, leaving employees feeling unprepared and unsupported. Furthermore, employees are discouraged from voicing grievances or concerns, fearing retaliation. This toxic environment creates a cycle of discontent that affects both staff morale and resident care.

I worked as a Caregiver in both assisted living and memory care. While initially I enjoyed the residents charisma, the work quickly became a lot in a short period of time. The expectation grew quickly for us caregivers to provide care beyond our pay grade and assisted living was more of skilled nursing than just assisting residents. The management was changing during my time at Peter's Creek. The kitchen staff was nice and hard working, there are many caregivers that cared for the residents and there was a fair share that was there for the paycheck. The reason I left was the toxicity of my co workers, many of them being Latinos. They tend to hate on each other rather than help uplift one another. I myself am Latino but grew up most of my life here in the US. My best co - worker there was Filipino. 

The managers and bosses are very rude and disrespectful, there are no chances for you to improve and most of the time they won’t let you take a break and will have you work 12 hours long shifts with no breaks. They always change the schedules at the last minute and if you disagree with it you have to work on your days off. They force you to cover someone else shift last minute. The place is really dirty and unorganized. Most of the people who work there are rude. 

As much as I loved working at Peter's Creek. When I was there, the management was in the process of change. They laid me off and other LPN staff. It's understandable that companies go through periods of transition. Hopefully, they stabilized now. What I love about Peter's Creek is the homey atmosphere, and the residents.
