This job was and will probably be the worst job I have ever had. I DREADED going to work everyday. I was trying to stick it out and push through but it just kept getting worse as each day went on. I was there for an employee for a year. They cut off raises until March 2021 at the earliest but still are giving reviews. They are boast and pick and choose who they target. In my one year as an employee there they fired at least 7 people in the first 5 months of being there as well as everyone I started with left and when I left most of the staff had only been there for a few months. Everyone quits as soon as they can. Managers are rude, inconsiderate , and bias. The work environment is toxic and I would go home crying  at least once a week if not more due to other employees.. management did nothing to correct the bullying that’s is a staple at their west haven medical office location. They let employees work through covid-19 with little to no protection or masks until 5 employees tested positive. They DO NOT CARE. Run away as fast as you can... I wish I read the reviews and trusted the negative ones before accepting. You will be overworked and under paid... head the negative reviews as the positive ones were by employees told to go on and rave about them so they would get new hires... please run and don’t look back. 

I’ve worked at a few PACT offices and I must say the doctors were really nice to me. However PACT has horrible management. They feed into drama and gossip. Very high school like behavior coming from people that are in their late 40’s early 50s. HR never has your back. They do not pay your EARNED PTO out when you leave. There’s a lot of favoritism. The work load isn’t even the problem. It’s the toxic environment and the lack of support from HR. And the pay is horrible. Insurance that they offer is expensive. So if you have a whole family half of your pay would go to just insurance. I would only recommend working there if you’re looking to build experience. Nothing long term. They don’t hire within and there’s no room for growth or promotion unless you’re favored. They had this policy that an employee couldn’t switch position until they have been in the company for a year but overlooked that for some.


As a physician assistant/advanced practitioner I have found PACT to be welcoming and eager to listen.  My position is a mix of hospital rounding and office/clinic time which I enjoy. I work in a subspecialty, which has allowed me the opportunity to hone my clinical skills;  I can confidently say that I am well-versed in my area and can assess and treat the majority of patients independently.  I have great support from physicians from whom I get thoughtful input on choosing between treatment plan options in difficult cases and/or affirming my course of action is the correct one.  The culture in my office is warm and friendly.  I would say the hardest part of my job is multitasking when demands/needs of my time and attention are high on those particularly busy days.  The best part of my job is coming to work knowing that I'm appreciated and making a difference.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Toxic work place.  People are pitted against each other, overworked, people are on their own after barely a day's training (not including computer training), and the manager not only has favorites, she doesn't believe in telling employees when they've done a good job.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Days are busy.  Patients are often rude, even abusive.  You're expected to arrive early, lunches are brief and hectic (be prepared to be interrupted).  Some jobs end at 4:30, but others end when the doctor is done.  I never made plans for after work when I was working with a doctor.

Not a friendly work environment at all. It is a great job for people in HR or in a management position. Anyone else, forget about it. There is no grace period for tardiness. If you are one minute late, be prepared to be written up. If you purchase your own supplies for your desk and decide to leave the job, you are NOT allowed to take the items you personally bought with your own money, UNHEARD OF. The management and HR staff are cold and non-supportive, ironic because of the roles they are in. To top it off, they may advertise that they are looking for an employee to work in a certain location, hire you for said location, then all of a sudden place you somewhere different. This place is all for their financial gain. STAY AWAY and seek employment from employers who genuinely care about you and your well-being. 

I've been in the workforce since the age of 16 and have worked in some form of healthcare from the age of 20 and I' now over 60. I'm currently employed by PACT and have been since 2004. I must say, I've never been treated unfairly here and that I admire their non discriminant open door policy. Pact is extremely diverse; Ethnicity, age or gender have never been an issue in their hiring anyone; That would be visible if you could see a picture of all of us. I enjoy working here and I'm confident others will too. We've grown massively in the last five years and that's not because people don't like working here or management isn't competent or unprofessional or wages aren't competitive; It's because you're not treated as a number. PACT has committed themselves to their employees.

Most of the employees are good to work with

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The high turn over of employees.  Never know who I am working with.  In my department  there people more interested being on their phones than doing their job

Environment is that everyone is on their own.  Management is only interested in profits not employees

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Eight hours in front of a computer, answering calls that should gone to someone else

Hands down the worst place I have ever worked. Work distribution was far from evenly distributed. Some of the staff were bullies. Management did not support you if you went to them and expressed concern for patient care or concern for the possibility of mistakes happening due to too much work for one person while others walked around with no work to do. Very few team players unless you were part of the IN group and friends with management. I went to work to take care of patients and their needs not be friends with management

I've been working here for nearly 2 years and I can say that I have amazing coworkers. Everyone is always so willing to help one another. It literally feels like a team. Its like having a second family. Just a great vibe. Patients are constantly complimenting the doctors on how nice and professional they are some go as far and say that they are grateful because the doctor saved their lives.  This summer we had 2 half days of work and still got paid for the full day on a payday at that. 

A typical day involves payroll, employee assessment, recruiting, administrative functions for benefits and 401K  I have learned a great deal in diversity, meeting the needs of both the organization and the employee to create a cohesive work environment.  I enjoy our employees and strive for excellence.  The most difficult  part of my job is assisting in the budget process and assuring compliance.
