Physicians Behavioral Hospital

Physicians Behavioral Hospital is a small facility with limited positions due the size.  Employees who do a good job and show up to work when expected love it here.  Everyone works as a team to provide the best care possible in the sometimes stressful field of psychiatric care.  Advancement opportunities are limited since some departments currently only have one employee but facility growth is expected in the near future.

This is a trash place to work and i honestly don’t know how the doors to this place are still open. Don’t waist you time with an interview because they will talk this place up and make you think it’s the best it’s not till you get in the door that you really see what it’s like. There are not job descriptions because you will be doing a little bit of EVERYTHING when another department isn’t doing what they are supposed to it will be added to you even though it’s not what you signed in for. I could go on but just don’t do it. Hope this helps

The supervisor didn't care what you did as long as they get paid

The same  as any day sad place to work

Not staffed adequately for the acuity level of patients accepted. Management is profit driven and does not seem to always prioritize patient care or safety of employees. Compensation package is a bit more than other psych facilities in the area. 

There is a large turn over at Physicians Behavioral Hospital and nursing staff is terminated suddenly and without reason. There is not enough nursing staff for the acuity of the patients and the techs are under trained

Overworked underpaid. Will cover up a lot of things. Nothing is followed by protocol or state regulations. No matter what you report people still keep their jobs.

they put needy patients on the street. they fire people who say somwthing about injustice.

their management is racist. i mean badly racist. it is a horrible place to work.

The experiences I had at PBH have been beneficial to my understanding of how hospitalization works in mental health.  I am grateful for the time I spent there and highly recommend it for PLPC’s who are trying to earn their full licensure.
