I can honestly say I had never seen anywhere else what I saw at this place, and not in a good way. Incompetent and inconsistent management, the highest employee turnover rate I have ever seen, equipment  always at a low, skeleton crews were the norm despite very high needs patients, 50% chance on any given day there would be no nurse aides so rest of staff had to fill in, no electronic charting

The staff is pretty nice, helpful.

Working by yourself no matter how many patients you have.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture and work environment is stressed, lots of moving part.  Unable to keep staffs schedules consistent.  Benefits offered but their soexpensive you have to go to the market place to maybe get cheaper.  NO retirement or anything else to offer....

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Trachcare in the morning then just breathing treatments, suctioning...same old- same old

New Management is great!
Management works hard for their staff to feel comfortable at work with a great work environment.
Most all the staff work hard as a team to make sure the care of the patients is top priority!
Patients and Families are extremely satisfied with the care and compassion we provide daily to our patients. 
Our top priority is patient care. We strive on making our patients stay as comfortable with the transitioning as can be, considering the circumstances of their stay with us.
We are One Big Family who has their ups and downs but at the end of the day we are family and we work though it together as a Team!

Enjoyed working @ Pioneer. Good pay, great co-wokers, flexible scheduling. Would definitely work there again

Wasn't very stressful, just your typical issues that you encounter with very sick and challenging patients. Loved the patient care. Loved the job.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good environment.
Mostly African Americans working, when I was employed there.

Busy 12 hr. Shift, but manageable.

The pay is appropriate and above other institutions.

There is no support from management.

Hostile towards staff. There is no support.

Constant running around. No support from management.

Training and orientation is very poor. You will be lucky if you get any training since the hospital is short staff

The old leader was dismissed  bevause she wsnted to train the staff but  that cost money . Now we have new leaders and the situation is worst 

The staff often calls in due to being over worked and under staffed. Agency nurses are the core staff.


They give out paper checks. If you want your money, you have to pick it up.

This is not a real hospital!!  Because if it was they would not schedule one tech to take care of 10-12 ICU  patients.  Management  was very poor and  Unprofessional! You never work your 36 hours a week because you get  cancelled. When you do work you work by yourself. Very heavy workload with no help or support from most of the RNs! If you knew what I know Don't Apply to this place.

You get a lot of experience, with things you don’t see in a nursing home as an LPN. The self scheduling is also a great thing, and just working one weekend a month compared to two at most other places. They don’t offer direct deposit you get a paper check every 15th of the month and the last day of the month, which you can’t pick up til 1pm.

Co-workers and management. No direct pay, never was paid on time.

Unethical mixed with favoritism

Long, overworked,  limited resources, deplorable work environment.

I am very glad to be a part of a start LTAC (Long Term Acute Care) Hospital.  There are many advantages to working because if you have prior experiences your input is very much taken into consideration.
