I've worked here the last 6 months as a 1099 agent (most people are 1099 but not everybody that works here is) , and obviously as a 1099 agent I don't get a lot of the benefits that a W2 agent would get, but I make twice as much as I did at my last job in the insurance industry. 

I have kids so being able to take time off when I need to pick up kids and stuff and not be questioned since I am an independent contractor is great. As long as you are hitting your goal the management couldn't be happier, and if you aren't they will help you get there.  Management will encourage you to work as much as possible because that is how they make money and how you make money too. But if you have other things going on they are extremely understanding. For example I had a bad breakup and didn't work for a week and management completely understood.

Co-workers are very nice and helpful. Anybody coming to work at Platinim Choice my advice would be to work as much as you possibly can so you get a nice check at the end of the week and it makes all the hard work worth it. Also communicate with your manager if you have to miss work even though you are 1099. I work from home by the way but some people to go to an office. 

Overall happiest I have ever been at a job. It just works for me and my life more than any other job I've had in the past has. If you are good at sales you will like it here.

Let me start this by saying, if you come to platinum and are there for the hourly wage. This isn't the place for you. If you can sell medicare and get paid for your worth & knowledgeable experience. This is for you. Yeah, your pay depends on what you sell. All the way down to the hourly.  But if you try, and you sell, you will be very happy with the checks you bring home here. The best part of it. Many places you may get fired if you have a family emergency that doesn't qualify for a leave of absence. Platinum has always said "family first". As a single mother of 5 children. That is the best part of PCH. Any time I have had to take off for docs, or emergency they have just said "family first, see you when you return". That is the most value even above the 100k annual salary that is very much possible here with dedication, time, and effort. 

  Platinum Choice Healthcare was focused on Medicare Advantage, they now force their agents to sell supplemental insurance as well. 
The compensation was amazing but has now been cut back to about half. There wasn’t a cap on how much money could be earned so most agents earned more than $100,000 now the highest paid agent will be lucky to make $75,000 so its a huge lost. Management is deceitful and lacks communication. They informed us our pay was being cut in half by posting a message on a group chat.   

I have been very please with my current position in ACA sales. I am a 1099 employee and I am still compensated hourly and the leads and bonuses are generous and consistent. 

I am a single mother whose life can be hectic at times and they are so understanding and supportive of my needs. They have family first policy that is so hard to find in today’s world. 

I look forward to my growth opportunities with platinum choice in the future. I would recommend this position to any entry level sales agent or a seasoned professional. 



There are 3 pay rates for agents and how they perform. Upper management does not offer the feedback necessary to perform this position. You either get it or you don't, nothing in between. The lower pay rate is $12.50. How can a single household survive off of that payrate? Upper management is never available when you need them, doesn't offer any kind of feedback if you ask for help and honestly, I gave it a try for a year and now it's time to move on. Is not a very nice position and management is always off doing other things.

I really enjoy working here because it offers the perfect balance of flexibility and earning potential. Being a remote 1099 contractor means I have the freedom to set my own schedule and work from wherever I want. There’s no pressure to stick to strict hours, and I can take time off whenever I need without any issues.

The earning potential is great—if you’re motivated and willing to put in the effort, there’s a lot of money to be made. It’s all about how much you want to work and achieve. This job is perfect for someone who values independence and has a strong work ethic.

nothing, it's not worth your time , poor training and leadership

accepting the position to begin with , false statements at time of interview      

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
work environment was very poor and what they tell you at the interview about your pay was misleading  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
very bad , all was misleading information they told you in training including your salary

They hire you if you’re willing to work a full time type of schedule  however they claim it’s 1099. When you try to reach management for some response as to why they aren’t letting you take calls; they don’t answer at all. They ought to say they specifically want full time employees and not a 1099 position which they offer. They could at the least make it a part time position but it appears that even that isn’t enough for their money hungry agenda. Unprofessional mismanaged group of people.

Typical medicare job, I see alot of people complain about leads but honestly leads are like this every workplace so if you dont like it dont be in this industry.

I will say good work life balance, as long as you hit your numbers you can pretty much take time off when you want/need it as long as there is communication. Time off is not paid since its 1099.

Like i said typical medicare job, just come to grind. As long as your an average agent who grinds you shouldn't have an issue hitting no less than 1K per week.
