Pollard has developed a philosophy that began with its original foundation - they get a contract that they have no idea what to do with, and scramble to find a solution. They will ultimately call it a "success", but what they have developed is something someone else has done, but better. Instead of adopting industry standards and using them to build off of their current models and improving upon infrastructures, they rely entirely on everything being in-house. This would be an accomplishment, if it weren't for the fact that most of the people that are in their roles don't have an idea of what it is that they are actually supporting, or doing. 

There are no opportunities for growth, or advancement within the company. You will likely be swayed to be hired in based on the fact that your skills are excellent and amazing and will be a great contribution, and advancements will be coming your way. That fails to fruition, it is a bait and switch to get you into a position and to keep you there. They will use this tactic to try and draw more out of you than is necessary for your job role, without providing anything back that is meaningful. 

If you contribute anything, don't expect to be recognized or even thanked. Hard work, going above, taking extra steps, these will all go unnoticed, and you will eventually come to a point and a realization that you are doing extra work for free, and getting nothing out of it.

Management is supportive in the way they can be, and will work with you to help you resolve your issues and meet your needs. 

The company does try to work with its employees, provide them with support, and can be extremely supportive. However, on an individual level you often times are left feeling like you are at the very bottom going unnoticed. This has less to do with the day-to-day people who you are interacting with, and more to do with upper management. As there is a clear line and distinction made. As an individual employee you feel very isolated and it is known you are at the bottom. You will be made to feel small and insignificant within all of this, you will receive announcements or e-mails touting the magnificent work of others, while none of your efforts within that being recognized.

Ultimately Pollard just becomes another job, one in which you can easily slip away from and forget simply because they never offered you anything worthwhile to begin with. It is a mid-way point in your career while you wait for something more tangible.

I was excited to work for Pollard however when I was hired I was not prepared for the constant negativity, backbiting, and inability for management to truly manage.
Staff were attempting to get their jobs done as efficiently as possible, however they were not given adequate tools, management or opportunity to do it. The CMS was so outdated and people so ingrained to do things their own way, that doing things collaboratively was met with resentment, resistance and fear. Management encouraged this by not attending to the basic needs of the job requirements. Long term employees, management and regular staff, continued to sabotage the work environment through complacency.
Programs under used, programs misused, programs not developed. Compliance issues not addressed and left to employees with no ability to change, improve or even discuss without condemnation, recrimination, condescension or patronizing.
The company needs to seriously upgrade and integrate it's programs to enable staff to do their jobs efficiently. Most of the programs are not interconnected. They are based on manual entries on many basic non CMS programs and those programs that are on their system are underused or unknown to most employees.
Long hours and negativity emotionally draining.

The work itself isn’t terrible, the benefits are mediocre at best. Management comprises of people that can’t pull their head out of the sand. We were forced to work through the pandemic as “essential workers” when we make lottery tickets. Employees were given no hazard pay, weren’t even given a thank you. They can’t keep employees because the refuse to raise wages, along with every other job sector. The company’s revenue has skyrocketed over the last 2 years, to approximately 700mill with sell than 2k employees worldwide. We’re currently in contract negotiations and they refuse to raise any wages and continue to drag negotiations on. I wouldn’t wish this employer on my worst enemy. I was waiting till the contract was finished to leave, but I can’t even stomach this place. No work/life balance, they consider 7 12 hour days reasonable overtime for a week. They treat people like machine, the more people that leave the worse it gets 

This job is mainly for someone just starting out in the working world, it is not really for experienced individuals. I mean I hate to say it, but I could train a monkey to do this job and they would do it better than some of my colleagues unfortunately. 

The pay is definitely not great but again, for someone just starting out in the workforce, it would be ideal. The benefits are also not great considering they crack us on a premium every month yet anytime I go to the doctor or dentist I still pay out of pocket way too much. So that's kind of upsetting. 

The job itself is very easy but stressful, the managers and leads are helpful for sure though. They really do their best to support people and the staff. 

•	Pushing and pulling manual and non-manual jack lifts working with heavy machinery.
•	Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verifies items received with purchase order; wraps, packages, and ships supplies; delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas; tags and issues supplies; stocks shelves and rotates inventory; may receive, store, and ship flammable, explosive or caustic and hazardous material; may assemble and move equipment.
•	Loading and unloading boxes also working with different software on a computer reading diagrams to palletizes different pallets.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I really enjoyed working for Pollard at the Arizona lottery office in Kingman, AZ.  I loved working with our players and helping them anyway I could. Unfortunately my husband became ill and I had to quit and become his full time caregiver. I miss it every day. Thank you Pollard for givingme this opportunity.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Having to deel with a gaslighting, narcissictict co-worker.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The office is small with no running water but, we managed.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I kept myself busy and helped our players as much as I could.

I worked here for 3 years. And the company and union was a joke. It is worse than high school. It’s a middle school. Bunch of old children that rather destroy peoples lives. Than help People grow. They will over work you. And not care. They will screw over everyone and not care. They didn’t care during covid. They favorite a lot of bad employees/managers. Management doesn’t care for their people. They don’t answer them until weeks later. This place is the worse job I have ever worked. And I worked in many areas because I needed money to live. Vacation days you get called in. Personal days get canceled on you. These people don’t care about quality only quantity of their product. 

I was hired as the new territory manager for the Flagstaff area. Training was really strange they chauffeured me to Phoenix trained me for a week I trained with three people one had a really bad stuttering problem and could barely talk to me. The other two were great I fully understood everything I was supposed to do. And then I was terminated for supposedly not being a good fit. I worked as a vendor for several different companies in Flagstaff for several years and was never once fired.
Pollard  banknote didn't even give me a chance before firing me after one week of training it was very strange.

I have worked here for many years I have started as a roll tender and have worked my way through all press positions . Over the years this company has taken care of me I have learned valuable skills in a state of the art environment while earning a fair wage along with good Heath benefits. I have a pension ,401k,  short term and long term disability insurance, vacation , personal days and holidays . All and all it’s a good place to work . I have brought many of my friends and family to this company .  This place has high potential to expand and grow for the future .

Depending on the department and staffing you can expect to have anywhere from a few months to a couple days of training. Good job if you don't mind working 60-84 hours a week, every week. Schedule can change at any time and overtime is mandatory.
