Precision Concrete Cutting

This is a decent place to work if you are a student looking for a summer job, looking for an in between job, or side hustle. The pay CAN be great… but it can also be horrible. You are paid by piece rate. Which means the more you get done in a day the more you make. Be prepared to make anywhere from $0-$30/hr. With an average of $10 for beginners. Once you get good and work hard, you can make $30/hr. Of course that’s only when the work is there, and the manager schedules you for the good jobs. Winter is the slowest and will often leave you working closer to 20 hrs a week, averaging $10/hr. Which is fine if you don’t have any bills. Or are smart enough/able to save the rest of the year.  

It’s nice that you get to work on your own most of the day, but you have to be self motivated or you won’t make any money. I did well for myself working here, as long as I had the work in front of me, I got a lot done and therefore made good money. But this meant some very hard days. Staying busy constantly all day. I mean always moving. Taking ABSOLUTELY NO breaks besides maybe a 5 min lunch break and a couple bathroom breaks. (Which by the way were done in a bucket to save time going to the gas station, if that was even an option). My breaks were driving the truck to and from the job site. 

Honestly this could be a great company. Or at least a great line of work. But it should be set up differently. If you are going to be treated in most ways as if you are a subcontractor then you might as well BE a subcontractor. Working here is like thinking you get to be your own boss and then realizing that you are still just a puppet. 

The work can be very fast paced or very slow. You get paid for what you cut and sometimes you get hourly wages. Contracts can be fruitful or they can be very spread out which makes it difficult to get good piece pay. The manager will fire you if you try to look for better opportunities so keep that confidential. The owners are out of state so they rely on what your boss is saying and often times they are out of the loop on problems going on. After 2 years i never recieved a raise. New contract allows for a raise after 6 months. Only a handful of techs have stayed more than 6 months anyway. Many times ive come in and the contracts were not ready to be worked on but they will send you there regardless. Cover your own back if you decide to stay. The most experienced manager is often busy doing his job so its difficult to get guidance. If you know construction you know there will be a lot of arguments and yelling. Its part of the trade but sometimes it gets out of hand. You can pay the bills here just stay focused work your tail off and ignore the negatives.

Working for PCC has been wonderful.  The owners and managers truly care about the employees and not just how well they do their job but also how their personal lives are outside of work.  They want everyone to live a quality life and be compensated in a way that they can be comfortable and take care of themselves and their families.  Being able to do work that truly helps the community to be safer and more inclusive for those with disabilities is very rewarding.  Not a day has gone by over the years I have worked here that I have dreaded or not wanted to come into work.  I know everyone wants each other to succeed here and PCC gives it's employees the tools to do so! 

Sick all the time and possibly die from the cilica dust you inhale as a cutter beens that the respirators are cheap and so are they. They dont like to supply you with the stuff you need for the job cause its expensive to them yet we need it. No paid time off. They will lie to you about it then the 1 year mark comes and they say its not true. Winter times dont expect to work more then 10 hours a week if that. And dont complain about it either or youll get yelled at about how you make more then enoughmoney and should have it saved for this time. Overall this place shouldnt be in business. They break oshalaws and l and i laws yet stage and setup everything perfect fora l and i exposure tests. Will coerse specific guyson crew to lieto l and i for them. Dont work here. If you value losingyourhairto stress at a young age

I've been with the company for almost 20 years, one of the old guys at this point, but have really enjoyed the time and stoked for the future.  The team really rallies together to solve problems, everyone is free to give input and feels listened to and appreciated.  

Over the years my job has evolved and I've been given more responsibility and have been able to grow in compensation and manage people, which is super cool.  The benefits are great and have even gotten better lately.  I love the paid time off, insurance, health and wellness reimbursement for my Peloton membership, etc. 

If you're looking for growth, great benefits, fun atmosphere, and able to make a difference in the world, this is the place!

The sales job consists of many hats for too little money and horrible corporate sales management expectations. 
This is a sales job where you have to manage the entire offic and construction which means your small salary just got cut in half and work load tripled. 
Tough they expect you to sell fast or otherwise you will get laid off through a letter,  NO warnings or calls just a thank you letter. Yes they fire through a letter!!!
Working for the franchise owners is good,  but If you work for corporate don't expect much,  your very indispensable and they are proud of not having to pay unemployment to well deserved employees!


Trust no one and first thing you need to so is get their hr number and email because this company is corrupt. Keep to yourself and the job is very easy but then again its hard at hearing they lack proper gear to stop silica dust from getting on toy they have Ganky respirators don't do proper safety meeting or physicals. 

They will fire you for no reason and tell you it just isn't a good fit.
They don't properly train you its learn as you go they set people up for failure.
A lot of things I can point out but I say go try it and find out how mistreated everyone is

I loved this company. I had to leave due to some health issues I was having, but it was the best money I've ever made, it wasn't hard work, and there were great benefits. PCC would give me pay bonuses the more accurate I was with my surveys, I earned vacation time fast, the managers were easy to talk to when I needed help/clarification, everything was well organized, and the people running this company make you feel valued and wanted. They care about how to make the job work better for you and know how to incentivize the job. All you really need for this job is a valid license and a high school diploma/GED. They provide the training, equipment, and the car to drive from location to location. I highly recommend this company, they WILL take care of you.

With a typical work day it is never the same and you learn things you never thought you would. The workplace culture is very much like a family atmosphere. Management is different at times you get the choice of how you can operate and other times you are given more direction. The hardest part and most enjoyable part about the job is your income is on you. So how much you out in is how much you get out. I have found people think they are a hard worker but once they start they find they are the lazy ones. With the pros and cons they can be one and the same. Pay and travel can be looked at like a pro and a con. Overall if you do what you are supposed to this will be a pretty easy job. 

The managers here are fantastic, super great guys. The coworkers are pretty cool and overall everyone is easy to get along with. 

The ONLY negative things I have to say is that the actual owner is kinda rude sometimes and doesn't give the managers at this location enough credit and he can be somewhat demeaning to them; and the training isn't ideal and I think it needs some improvement to build a better team overall. 

But overall as long as you're able to walk and bend for long periods of time I think its a great place to work!
