A typical day at this office would start with opening the office, retrieving mail, making sure labs were given to medical records, greeting patients as they came in and registering them.  Phones were turned on at 8 a.m. and we had to balance phone messages with patients checking in and out, taking care of the needs of patients who would walk in without an appointment.  Efficiently taking messages for patients and sending them to the correct worker. I learned to multi task in a fast environment while remaining professional.  The most enjoyable part of the job was being thanked by a patient because we were able to put them in that day or being thanked because I was so polite with them.  The hardest part of my job was trying to communicate with one coworker who refused to communicate.  This particular person felt that their way was correct and everyone else had no option for opinions. Unapproachable co workers can add immense stress to a day with negative remarks and tone. This would occur to co workers but never to patients.   My other co workers were pleasant and most were hard working. It was a pleasure working with most of them.  As far as patient care, I would recommend this facility to others.

I recently read some of the reviews and felt compelled to add mine. Although all workplaces experience difficulties at times, I have found that when we have had a couple, everyone at all levels are interested in helping. Even if there is no solution to a problem there is always a welcoming ear to speak to.  

There is a lot of opportunity to learn skills in an industry that continues to grow.  PHA gave me a great opportunity to use my college education which others have overlooked for a very long time. 
 I love helping people and appreciate all the help I received including from my supervisor, managers and billing department.

I’m not sure who wrote the poor reviews but I could only imagine they came from people that didn’t appreciate such a great place to work. Maybe they were people that were fired ?

My family is treated so well by the docs. I feel the medical services they give us is such a unique benefit.

I was excited to begin a career at PHA though quickly learned how unprofessional and inappropriate management and staff behaves. 
Training is learn by error. Staff vents freely and immaturely, often having tantrum's,  in areas where patients can easily hear. Including management. 
Employees are bullied by management and senior staff. You are openly spoken to in a degrading manner especially when seeking assistance. HR provides no effective relief and you will be subject to retaliation if you involve them. 
Private information discussed with leadership both personal and professional are openly shared with coworkers when you’re not present. 
There is favoritism and changing rules depending on how well you are liked. 
Health insurance is costly and has a deductible in the THOUSANDS that includes office visits. PTO accumulates at less than a day a month. Sick time accumulates a few hours a month. 
This will never be a place I recommend unless you are absolutely desperate. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The skills I learned working at a doctor's office. 4 years worth of knowledge.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything was stressful.  Communication way there worse part. Between supervisors and staff, the supervisor would only communicate changed in procedures with the staff that had been there for years and not with the newer staff members, but we were expected to know what was communicated. Never made sense to me.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Personally I felt like the environment only favors the employees that had been there the longest.  Out of six to eight employees, only three were highly favored, rewarded, and had the best relationship with management.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Non -stop work. The telephones were busy the entire day and the patients are highly disappointed with the front desk staff. As with any work environment, there are slackers on the job, and there are hard working individuals.

The training for new employees is a joke.  You basically learn on your own or by making mistakes that are thrown in your face.  You hear nothing positive about your job performance.  They expect you to know your job inside and out in less than a month.  The pay is appalling and an insult to some of us that worked hard for our degrees.  Some of the Physicians were awesome some so not.  I worked for the not.  Nice to your face then turns around and talks negatively about you, real mature.  Some physicians just need to retire when they get to the point where it doesn't seem they enjoy there jobs.  Management or should I say lack of just knew how to schmooze the doctors.  Would never recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, decent place to work.  Oh and breaks there are none.  Never took a lunch, I don't consider eating at your desk choking down a sandwich a lunch break.  Run, runfar away.

I came on board to a newly formed team . We are very much supported by the doctors and management.  I find people at all levels welcomed me and make sure I am comfortable with the many new skills and tasks I am trying to learn.

I heard in the past there were employees with their own agendas (poor team work and did not support the company) and were negative about everything.  I am glad to say many were let go during the past few months and I don't need to deal with them. 

There is always a lot that needs to get done when taking care of patients and working with doctors but if you like to be busy you will like it here.

I have learned so much when I worked here. I see how difficult it is for everyone right now and even though it is super busy, I know I can talk to someone if needed.  The very small amount of managers have even helped me and I know they are having a hard time keeping up with all the challenges. Once I was offered the opportunity to train into a supervisor. I actually declined because I see how hard they work and the amount of unfair fingerprinting and being subject of people’s complaints. 
Love the docs they cared for me and my family. I moved out of state or would still be there

Horrible place to work.  Full of drama in all offices.  Management, HR, and supervisors do not care or respect you.  They do not care if you are harassed by other employees or that the workplace is hostile. They do not give you all the tools to do your job.  You do not get a lunch break and are forced to do work designed for more than one person with no gratitude.  Communication is terrible between management and fellow employees.  You have to beg for reviews and raises.  Training is a joke and you are left to fend for yourself. They also play favorites. They force you to work overtime, then yell at you for having too many hours. The doctors are great!

Don't waste your time.  Employee turnover is high.  Inadequate training.  Horrible management.  They don't care about their employees, all they care about are the numbers.  Management is RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND YOU'RE JUST A BODY TO THEM.  Understaffed.  Raises and reviews RARELY happen!  Nurses never take a lunch, you're lucky to get a bathroom break!!    The Doctors are great!  It's a shame they do not have much control (decision making) in their office.  Most of the Doctors are partners!!   The most enjoyable part of my day was my coworkers! (more like family)  If it wasn't for them, I would have left immediately.

I have worked for Premier for some time now. The last few years have been rough for anyone working. This company continued to make changes to ensure safety and address concerns of staff. Although not all concerns are fixed as fast as I may like, I know the management team is working hard for us all.  The docs are great and under the most stressful times during COVID have been understanding and supportive. Some cared for my family and I can’t thank them enough
