Working as a clinical trainer transitioning into a clinical coordinator role has been rewarding and challenging in the best ways. A typical day for me includes supporting staff, coordinating patient care, ensuring workflows are followed. I serve a bridge between leadership, clinical staff and patients, making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

In this role, I've learned how to multitask effectively. I communicate clearly with different personalities and departments. It has strengthened my leadership skills, problem solving abilities, and confidence in making decisions that impact both staff and patient care. 

Management has been supportive overall and focused on maintaining equality care accountability. open communication and teamwork are encouraged which helps create a positive and productive environment. 

The workplace is collaborative and patient centered. Everyone works together to support one another, which makes even the busiest days manageable. There's a strong sense of teamwork and shared purpose. 

The hardest part of my job is balancing multiple responsibilities at once while ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. 

The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the direct impact of my work whether its helping staff feel supported, improving processes, or knowing patients are receiving quality care. Being able to lead, mentor and contribute to smooth-running clinical environment is incredibly fulfilling. 

Overall, this role has helped me grow both personally and professionally, and it's been a meaningful step in my healthcare career. 

One thing is for the offices have learned to come together and maintain. Depending on who your manager is some better than others. We have select few in admin leadership that take time come to the offices speak to ALL staff, or at least ask them how they are and their name. Those particular leadership individuals will ask what are some things that need ironed out or how can we “overall phs” improve. I valued that. Unlike our CEO who seems more  into building and building. Which don’t get me wrong expansion and offering more services to the community is needed. It would just help if the current offices felt confident. He also gives off the impression he is better than or above you by walking in and not speaking to people. It’s rude. If he does ask you something he makes it seem like a joke when you response with a real concern. I don’t think he gets the time and and work life balance sacrifices his staff makes. The HR is a non factor as well. She never picks up her phone. If you go to admin she is not in her office or you speak to the office admin secretary. Thank goodness I didn’t have a real problem. I am not sure how many good people they have to lose to slow down and really evaluate are they working for the good of everyone or just $$$. A provider passes away and it’s  business as usual. A patient makes a threat to harm no one shows up. Our manager goes outside on the frontline. No one seemed to care how we were. .  If I didn’t need a job or didn’t have time to search for a new one I would leave as well. Just giving my opinion. It’s not al sunshine.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working at PHS has helped me grow professionally, and there are always opportunities to continue learning and advancing. I truly enjoy being able to serve and support the Hispanic community. PHS provides many resources to help our patients, including pharmacy discount programs and interpreter services available on site, as well as through tablets and phone access.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part is that, like any organization, we sometimes experience staffing shortages. When this happens, it can lead to longer wait times, and some patients may become frustrated. Despite this, we continue to do our best to remain professional, provide quality care, and support our patients’ needs.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Working at PHS allows us to work with people from many different cultures. This gives us the opportunity to learn from one another, support each other, and grow together, creating a strong sense of teamwork that feels like a family.

Overall, the organization can offer opportunities to gain experience, but those positives are overshadowed by ongoing leadership and cultural issues.

Work-life balance is largely nonexistent. After-hours calls and emails are extremely common, including holidays and late evenings, and employees are often expected to remain available well beyond normal working hours. Respect for personal time is minimal.

Professionalism from some leadership is also a concern. It is not unusual to hear colleagues spoken about loudly and disrespectfully, which contributes to a negative and uncomfortable work environment.

Accountability is inconsistent. Expectations appear to apply to some employees but not others, and certain individuals seem to operate without meaningful oversight. This has contributed to noticeable turnover, as many employees have chosen to leave rather than continue working in that environment.

Until leadership boundaries, professionalism, and consistent accountability are addressed, it will continue to impact morale and retention.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I'm really impressed by the company's commitment to excellence and the skilled, supportive team. Everyone I've met has been approachable and helpful, which makes the environment welcoming and friendly. It's motivating to be part of a team that genuinely values the company's mission.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything has been manageable; the support of the team makes a positive difference.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Honestly, everyone here has been really nice and easy to work with. From my experience, the atmosphere here feels grounded and professional. The team actually cares about doing good work. The company is pretty open about how things work which makes it easy to understand what's going on. The people here are genuinely helpful and friendly and it makes coming to work feel easy and actually enjoyable.

I was welcomed with open arms here at Primary Health Solutions with the warm front staff and the smiles from the primary care physicians. It made it easy to feel comfortable to show my skills and feel the confidence that  every medical assistant should have when enrolling or enlisting to come into a very well known facility. I over all give this facility a 5 out of 5 in my grand opinion and the list of "Pros" will further on explain why.
This is the Pros Listed for this facility; Great staff, Amazing Support from Managers and Providers, Understanding patients, Proactive providers, Primary care provided, Urgent care available, Clean and well kept facility, Good security coverage, ID requirements to keep staff and patients safe, Bilingual staff, Informative Environment, Easy and Accessible exists, Warm and welcoming front staff, Up to date supplies.

Corporatized, heavy emphasis on productivity. Pressure to see patients every 15 min. Due to high turnover and poor training, you end up doing support staff functions leaving less time for patient care. Little dedicated time to review complex cases with colleagues. EHR runs slow, breaks down. Expect to chart on evenings/weekends. Managers are not always on sight so you're left to sort things out. Disappointing, because meaningful work felt impossible with such little organization and support. 

I love working here. It was a hard adjustment at first because I came from a completely different environment. However I have found that management is receptive to me, the coworkers are fun to work with and it’s like a little family there. I enjoy the challenges I have experienced (after the fact) as they help me grow into a better provider. The location is great for me, the hours are good, and the patients can be challenging but also rewarding. 
Yes it is busier (less time with each patient) but once you learn how to manage the time with the patients it isn’t so overwhelming. 
So far I’m happy I made the switch. 
I read a lot of reviews before applying and taking the job. My personal experience- the group of people I work with are amazing! 

I loved the work I did, my coworkers, the doctors I worked with and my patients but unfortunately the management (specifically the COO and Director of Clinical Operations).  I have heard of toxic bosses before but this is my 1st time experiencing it. The company’s processes and procedures are not in line with the mission statement and values. This is leading to unacceptable delays in care. The toxic management is evident by the high staff’s turnover which also affects patients because they don’t know who to talk to as the staff keeps changing. There is little to nowhere for patients to report problems or concerns. Management lacks any respect for providers they work with (at least in the Dayton office) let alone the employees. Patients and staff deserve much better.   Not only is gossip permitted by is actually often initiated by management. 

My time here had few positives and overall it was a tough environment to stay in long-term. There’s a noticeable amount of turnover, and a lot of it seems tied to challenges at the senior leadership level. Decisions from the top don’t always align well with what’s happening day to day, which can make things feel inconsistent and, at times, frustrating for staff trying to do their jobs effectively.

On the operations side, there are some clear gaps in oversight and follow-through. Most times, the  leadership within operations can come across as very unprofessional, and issues aren’t always addressed in a consistent or constructive way. That lack of accountability tends to impact morale and contributes to people moving on, making it harder for the organization to maintain stability. It quickly becomes apparent that the company’s stated culture does not fully align with the reality experienced in practice.
